Possibly. But let's not forget that Eilish is a very prominent feminist herself! I don't think that they will manage to back her into a corner about this I think feminists like her are starting to be heard more

I like feeling strong and powerful sometimes. I also like feeling cute and small and taken care of sometimes. My man likes being tall and strong. But sometimes he also likes to make himself small and put his head in my lap, letting me take care of him. People are multi faceted. Regardless of gender.

I'm not even asking anyone for anything anymore. There was a time when I geniniunly thought that these are two causes that can be fought for together. But somehow both groups seem to only see the worst examples and personals of each other. This is not a blame game. I've seen terrible people who claim to be feminists / mens rights activists do more damage than good. I get why these groups are so divided. I guess the least we can ask of each other is to keep an open mind. Consensus can change. I t…

You could try posting it on r/feminism with a separate account that is not strongly associated with r/mensrights. Talking from experience it's foreseeable that they will ban anything associated with this sub. A top upvoted comment above this says that feminism is a satanic cult... so that's why r/feminsm is not really keen on having people from here on their sub. You could try posting this on r/menslib and then cross post from there. They have a more friendly relationship with r/feminism. Before…

True. I don't mind having low libido actually. It's just a bit bothersome when your partner has more or when you feel pressured to still do stuff like hookups. Hell is other people.

Simple as that. Consent is like tea. People in a good mood might be more likely to agree to a cup of tea. Unconscious people don't want tea. https://youtu.be/oQbei5JGiT8

Maybe just not dating in person for now would also be an option. Like, as a middle path between going all the way out and meeting people irl and not doing anything at all. Just have some interesting conversations, get to know people via text, phone and video calls. I think men who put up with that and seem to just enjoy the conversation might be less likely to be that sexually aggressive.

I'm not into spiritual stuff but I still unironically enjoy that sub. Overwhelmingly lovely and supportive people there. (They accept "science witches" as well so you don't have to be very spiritual to be part of the community.) I just like the aesthetics and sisterhood. I think many of these women are good at being true to themselfes and doing what they enjoy which conveniently also repeals the kind of men they don't like anyways. That's just my two cents. Now if you'll excuse me, Imma go dance…

I'm asexual and non-binary. The biggest influences on me were the queer community, the ace community and feminism/liberalism. I'm starting to suspect that the "fuck gender roles and the dating market" strategy that works great for me is not necessarily suited for others. You guys go on fighting about what all men and all women want. I'll get the popcorn.

When you take away the chasing pussy (by not chasing it) aspect and all the men are from mars and women from venus stuff of the rp you're basically left with "Take good care of yourself and do things that do you good" and stoic philosophy. These things and Stoicism specifically might be an interesting thing to look into for anyone regardless of gender and sexuality.

Asexual with aromantic partner here. I think people would chose much better partners if they wouldn't have their perception blurred by sexual attraction. Or extreme romantic attraction (that makes you ignore red flags). In the end you need to have more or less compatible lifestyles and a strong friendship-like bond as well as high compatability as to what each partner wants, needs and can give. That goes for sex, displays of affection, physical touch, emotional support, household tasks, money...…

This. Women are no hive mind. Just like with men there are both assholes and compassionate empaths. I find it hard to make any statement about the whole of one gender. In my social bubble both the men and women tend to be mature, caring and empathetic since those are the kind of people I choose to surround myself with. But I also see how some of my relatives treat their friends and spouses and it makes me want to send them all to group therapy lol. I'm sorry you had this bad experience. But good…

Now that I know that most people are different from me I have more understanding for this view. While sex might not be necessary for the survival there is still a strong drive for it. His ex might have financially abused him. That doesn't mean that any next woman is entitled to do the same to him. wtf? That put aside, what efforts you expect from your partner should be determined by your own personal needs and desires, not what others previously have asked from that partner. What you give and what you take should be balanced and if you really love your partner you shouldn't ask them to give more than they can healthily give. In a loving relationship both parties are entitled …

Since I heard as a teenage girl about how rare it is for boys to recieve compliments and how much it makes their day I've tried to make an effort to give out more compliments when something catches my eye. From that perspective I think it should be more normalised for women (heck, anybody) to compliment boys and men casually. Everyone deserves that little genuine confidence boost, even when it's not for the purpose of flirting. Edit: grammar error

I suspect that those people don't look for love and connection but material wealth, sexyiness or status. A potential partners and your own value is determined by material assets and not their personality and their skills. I guess there is nothing "wrong" with that as long as both parties know what their partner is in for. But when one fakes love to get access to a "high value" partner, that shit sucks.

Inceldom is a very complicated matter. There are many factors at play and it's hard to generalise the reasons why some men are not able to be sexually active when they actually want to. "All incels are autists" is just as ignorant and problematic as "all women are hysteric" or "all black men are criminals" because these statements fail to recognize other factors that can contribute to someone being the way they are. Limited empathy and a lack of social skills can definitely contribute to inceldo…

Big same! I like experimenting with healthy cooking from time to time and when my boyfriend and I started dating (we both still live with our parents and aren't self sufficient yet) he was such a picky eater. He's gotten used to certain vegetables though, all from his own motivation. That must have taken a lot of dedication, I'm still impressed a year after. It really did wreck my mental health back then. It's a pity that we were sexually so incompatible and that I wasn't mature enough to acknowledge and communicate my own needs. We were a good fit in all the other ways and had plans for the future but the lack of sex on his side and the burden of having sex that made me feel miserable for his sake on my side made us grow apart. Asexuality is when you don't experience sexual attraction. Which I don't. It's a misconception that all asexuals don't have sex. Some aces don't have sex. Some do. Some have a libido, some don't. Having sex with someone when you don't really want it actually is 1) not a proof of love 2) not something your partner is entitled to 3) more harmful to your wellbeing and relationship in the long term than having firm boundaries. I am a woman who just recently realised that I'm asexual. My struggles finally make sense in hindsight. I'm still working on developing the integrity to decline or stop when I'm not in the mood for sexual activity. The right to say no doesn't only apply when the situat…

I've had quite a learning get curve myself. I overcame mild vaginsmus. Even after that I used to have a lot of sex that I was not enjoying. I don't think it's young women's job to educate themselfes though. Boys and girls need to be taught about enthusiastic consent. At schools and by their parnents. It's not a difficult concept to grasp but it's still painfully overlooked by many people. Without enthusiastic consent a long term relationship is difficult to maintain because it's at least drainin…

Yes, but inexperienced women are a lot less likely to be demanding in bed whereas experienced women tend feel empowered to ask for what they want and ideally they simply won't do it anymore if their needs are never met. Many men don't want actually empowered women in bed. They want women that are open to casual sex and that will fullfill their desires. It still works because there's still so many girls and women around who just endure bad sex and never learned that they can say no when they're n…

A female breadwinner is only emasculating when you assume that the defining male trait is that he is a breadwinner. But a man is more that just his paycheck. You can't reduce womanhood to being a sex object for the men and just like that you can't reduce manhood to being a walking wallet to them women. It's 2020, people. Those aren't signs of high quality those are basic requirements for me. Though I would debate the "not sexually obsessed" insofar that I don't care how early a man brings up sex. What I look out for is his longterm behaviour when it comes to sex. Does he respect my boundaries or does he act entitled to having sex with me? Does he understand the concept of my bodily autonomy or does he claim to "know what I really need"? Does he agree to the introduction of safe words and does he act on them when…

I mean, mens bodies aren't gross either even when they're chubby or a bit overweight. They're just... human bodies. Weeding out the men who only want her because she's sexually available from the pool of men with potential for long term relationships that is. She might be weeding them out by not fucking them. I could have saved my younger self from so many terrible relationships if I had done this :P

Well there could be many different reasons for behavior like that. Maybe she's afraid, that men won't pursue a romantic relationship with her if she agrees to become intimate early. Maybe she tries to weed out the men that are only interested in her because she is sexually available. Maybe she has personal issues making it hard for her to do it with people she cares about. The most important thing I'd look for in a man if I was single would be emotional literacy. I'd like him to be able to openly talk about his feelings so that we can both reflect on them if there is any problem. The difference between consensual non-consent and pedophillic activity is that in consensual non-consent both partners involved can consent. A child cannot legally consent. My point is that victim blaming is wrong and if it ever stops people could just do whatever they fantasize about.

I think the thing about female rape fantasies is that they're often used as an awfull excuse by blackpilled guys to justify lowkey sexually abusive behaviour. The main difference between rape fantasies and rape in reality is that you still have full controll over what is done to you in your fantasy (so it's safe to dream about non-consensual sex). Ah. I see your point. I do have big hips and I actually resent that phrase too. Can't people just say that a woman has "beautifull hips"? "Hey you seem to have a good body for pushing babys through your V"... ummm thanks? Is that actually supposed to be flattering? I don't call people out for this sort of compliment but it still makes me uncomfortable. So maybe it's not exactly insultung, but a very weak attempt at flattery. I think a common mistake is to assume that all incels are all the same. True, there is a lot of misogyny, hate and many other things that are not nice in the incel community which is dangerous. But there's bad people in any community and unfortunately they're also the loudest. If we keep assuming the worst about every incel it will only drive more people towards this extreme. Originally the incel community was a community for mutal support, and for some it still is. These people have good reason…

I agree with your thesis but I kinda disagree with many of your points to support your thesis. Incels are not retarded. They just lack physical affecion and many other things crucial to ones wellbeing. Some are lonely, some lack social skills, some have no or or only few good friends, somw struggle with mental illness like depression, some are just very deprived of love and affection. That can do a lot to people and we should indeed have sympathy for them instead of belitteling or hating them.

It's sadly true that nothing much has changed so far, but the public recognizing toxic masculinity as a serious issue that harms many people is at least a first step. Awareness changes behaviours.
