Something similar. I remember getting turned down and laughed at by a really cute girl in high school who then started dating a known drug dealer who hung out around the school. She eventually dropped out in her final year because she had a kid with him. Fast forward a few years later, I was handed down a bunch of land that sold for millions and bought a few residential properties. The same girl is now single, has 3 kids, and on welfare living in the building that I own.

It's actually a biological thing. Girls are attracted to the taller men because thousands of years ago, they would be the best hunters and gatherers.
