I disagree. Chivalry is about being kind and polite to everyone, not just women. A lot of modern media has gotten that wrong about the old knights. To be Chivalrous is to have honor, courage, courtesy, understand justice and be willing to help those in need.

Well once you turn 18, you can completely shut her off from your source of income. Save up long enough that you can move out on your own and be financially stable. And then just stay single until you think you're ready for a relationship with someone. And if you do find someone, make sure they aren't a leach.
/r/MensRights21/02/22 05:25 PM

Exactly. I've seen a lot of people for abortion who say things like "we need it in case something goes wrong" but then praise other women for getting an abortion just because they felt like it. It's sickening, honestly.

I think his point is that there shouldn't be a need for self defense because no one should attack anyone, regardless of gender. I partially agree, as there are some circumstances where physical violence is an acceptable answer, but that's in cases of extreme danger to ones self or others. So I wouldn't be upset if someone punched a pedophile, you know? Or a murderer or whatever. But hitting someone over a disagreement is never okay.

And you don't think women not wanting to be stared at while working out or doing yoga positions the exact same thing? It's a privacy issue, in both cases. So they can do yoga at home then. No seriously, a gym is not a necessity for working out. A bathroom, however, is something people need on a regular basis. Most people can't just drive home to use theirs because of time or they need to be somewhere else or whatever.
/r/MensRights28/01/22 12:49 AM

Not with that attitude
/r/MensRights27/01/22 08:12 PM

you mean besides the fact that bathrooms and changing areas are places where people get naked and need at least a modicum of privacy, and people are more comfortable being nude around people of them same gender? No seriously, why did you think this was a good question to ask?

What, do you live in the 50s? It's not the default, it's what those dads like. I honestly dont know where you're getting that it's the default dude. Can you list sources? Can you prove it?

So, you're take is wrong in a few ways. One, it's not most dads that get tools, it's some. I dont know where you got the idea that most dads only get tools for birthday presents. Two, 9 out of 10 times the reason these dads get said tools is because they asked for them. Most men upon being asked what they want answer with something they need, such as tools or a new appliance or whatever. Not always, but often enough And three, the 1 out of 10 times they dont ask for it, its probably their hobby …

I mean, is she wrong about the dropout rates though? The rest of what she says is awful, but I feel like dropout rates are our own faults here. This is coming from a high school drop out. Edit: downvote me all you want, but until someone can logically explain why I'm wrong, I'm sticking with this comment. Prove me wrong and I'll happily change it

When are people going to realize that those on FDS actually carry their opinions into reality? Same with incels, it isnt just a thing they do on the internet, they truly believe what they are saying
/r/MensRights11/01/22 11:18 AM
18

I think they're referring to the fact that its become common place in certain circles to disregard someone's opinions about something because they are a man, a reversal of a gender issue women faced on a societal level a few decades ago, but now is only an issue on a person to person level.

did you seriously just ask why mutilating part of a baby's body is bad? Really?
/r/MensRights02/01/22 10:13 PM

Not sure why you're being downvoted so heavily as this comment literally lines up with every single one of your comments here and the post.

For those of you defending circumcision in the comments... imagine a parent letting someone stab their baby because A: the baby won't remember the pain and B: the baby will be fine after a while with just some skin missing. That's essentially what circumcision is, and to be okay with that is completely disgusting.

The word basically means "run by men" and some women like to claim that the "patriarchy" is to blame for every issue. Essentially its blaming men for everything that goes wrong, including things that happen to men
/r/MensRights28/12/21 04:39 PM

Besides the patriarchy part

I hate how they'll say "the patriarchy hurts men too" when men bring up issues, but then also say we arent systemically oppressed. Like, dont those two things go against each other?

Honestly, while I agree it's unfair how Reddit treats certain subreddits, the againstmensrights subreddit seems to be using our own stuff against us. Because I went through their latest, and saw a lot of them linking to posts from this subreddit where either the post or the comments were being legitimately sexist and saying shit that wasn't true. There was a post here the other day saying that as MRA, we shouldn't become sexist or xenophobic, and the comment section was full of essentially just …

Dude, do you not understand the concept of synonyms? Or metaphors? I said "hitting" in quotes to indicate that I was speaking metaphorically. A "hit" can be referring to a physical punch, but a "hit" can also be an insult, or blackmail, or a criticism. "That insult hit hard" "them calling me out was a hit to my career" Words have several meanings, and especially when talking in examples and metaphors. You're literally arguing semantics and somehow thinking that makes you the winner.
/r/MensRights13/11/21 05:57 PM

Ironic, you calling me an idiot even though I explicitly explained that I was referring to attacks overall, not just physical ones. Proves either A: you can't read or B: you chose not to read because at this point you're just trying to attack me for calling you out. Hence once again, proving my point.

You didn't explain shit to me Except for: "How does giving women more reason to hate us actually make anything better?" and "If you hit someone, they're gonna hit back. And then you hit back, so they hit back, and it just becomes a never ending cycle of hitting. Someone has to break the circle of violence." WTF are you talking about? When a guy hit a girl, she's gonna hit back? It's not a gender thing, it's a human biology thing. If you're attacked you either defend yourself or run. And most peo…

My point is just because she's a hypocrite doesn't mean she's not wrong. It's like a smoker telling you to not smoke. Are they wrong simply because they are being hypocritical? No, because no one should smoke.

"They" don't matter. The dictionary definition of sexism is "prejudice against people due to their sex" Which is exactly what we shouldn't be doing
/r/MensRights10/11/21 07:50 PM
1

Also, saying "I'm not sexist I'm misogynistic" is like saying "I'm not human, I'm a man". Sexism is a blanket term. You can be sexist against men and sexist against women. Misogyny is sexism against women, misandry is sexism against men. How do you not know this?

Wow. Did you seriously just call me a cuck, a wuzz, and a simp because I explained a concept even kindergartens can understand? If you hit someone, they're gonna hit back. And then you hit back, so they hit back, and it just becomes a never ending cycle of hitting. Someone has to break the circle of violence. And if it isnt them, than it should be you. You're misinterpreting my words. When I say fight, I mean the attacking. Being sexist, making claims that arent true, ect The only real way to "push back" against sexism is to prove we arent what they say we are. So if they call us jerks and we act like jerks, that just confirms to them that they're right. It's not a hard concept to grasp
/r/MensRights10/11/21 07:41 PM

I've seen it used a few times on here. The term "femcel" was coined, mostly just so people know they are talking about women. But "femcel" is short for "female incel", so yeah. I cant find a specific instance right now as I need to be getting ready for work, but I'll try to find some after I get back. I'll respond to your comment with them if I can find them

The guy is to blame for his opinion. I know a guy who's mother also abused him growing up, but he doesnt hate all women. So while neither of them are to be blamed for being abused, they both made choices on their opinions
/r/MensRights10/11/21 05:34 PM
2

I read what the mod said, and while it does appear the story being told is one sided, the mod also excused the things the other person said. And story aside, OP is still telling us to be better people. And whether or not she's being hypocritical, we should still listen to that. We should be better people. We shouldn't stoop to the misandrists level
/r/MensRights10/11/21 05:33 PM
2

Because people have a choice. You're choosing to hate women because of the actions of one. I've been abused by several women throughout my life time. Do I think all women are evil? No, I dont. You're choosing to hate women. You're choosing to let your mother's actions define you. Quit blaming others and better yourself
/r/MensRights10/11/21 05:21 PM

Did you seriously just compare being a man to being a black slave and a Jew in a concentration camp? Holy shit, I dont say this lightly, but go touch grass. Get out of your echo chamber and actually look at the world.
/r/MensRights10/11/21 05:19 PM
2

That's a lot of words for you to say "I'm a sexist piece of shit". Seriously, the whole reason this group exists is because of sexist women. So how is being sexist any better? Legitimately think about it. How does giving women more reason to hate us actually make anything better?
/r/MensRights10/11/21 05:16 PM
2

Except "incel" IS an insult, because it's a specific group, not just a term. Incel has a specific connotation of someone who blames the other gender for their lack of sex, and is sexist against said gender. Men and women can be incels, so you insinuating that incel is only a male insult is actually YOU being sexist here
/r/MensRights10/11/21 05:14 PM
11

It shouldn't be a fight in the first place. All fighting does is further push everybody into their echo chambers. We need to be supporting men and pushing for change, not attacking those who disagree with us. You're literally saying that we should do exactly what the misandrists are doing and you dont see the hypocrisy in that?
/r/MensRights10/11/21 05:09 PM

So telling people to not be racist, sexist, and homophobic is "policing" now?
/r/MensRights10/11/21 05:08 PM

The amount of people in this comment section defending the xenophobes in your story is extremely saddening. Seriously, their using excuses like "free speech", as if that isnt exactly what certain feminists use to be shitty to men. Seriously people, OP is calling us to be better, to not be sexist, homophobic, and racist and yall are going "bUt W o M a N". Get over yourselves people. We are supposed to be a support group, not a hate group.

dude, it's a mental illness caused by their body needing to be changed. Do. Some. Research. Holy shit dude. Also, calling it insanity is like calling depression insanity. As in you're a complete and utter moron.
/r/MensRights08/11/21 08:12 PM
1

Dude, m e n t a l I l l n e s s. Like depression or anxiety, it messes deeply with your mind and body. And so far, the only "cure" is to transition because their brain needs their body's hormones to be in check. Seriously, just look into it instead of being a dick. You clearly dont know what you're talking about and refusing to even consider listening to what people have to say proves you're an idiot, as even the smartest people in the world know the value of a second opinion
/r/MensRights08/11/21 04:53 PM
1

Once again you bring up something that is a mental illness. Pedophilia isn't a choice either. The only choice those people have is whether they act on it or not. And if they try to get help for it, they're usually shunned because people think they're monsters, even though they are reaching out because they dont want to be the monster.

So do you just not understand what mental health is, or...?
/r/MensRights08/11/21 05:09 AM

Does science say a human can become a unicorn if he feels like he is? What a gross misunderstanding of what gender dysphoria is. IT'S A MENTAL DISORDER YOU DIMWIT. It actually exists, and it's SCIENTIFICALLY proven that it does. It's usually due to the person's body having a serious chemical imbalance. Not to mention gender and sex aren't the same thing, so you just don't know what you're talking about at all.
/r/MensRights08/11/21 01:19 AM

Bro you can't just deny science and call it propaganda. Get your unnecessarily xenophobic ass off of Reddit, there is absolutely no reason for you to be a dick.

Thinking you are something you are not is a belief and it is absurd Dude, look into gender dysphoria. It's not a choice, its a serious mental health issue like depression or anxiety. And the only way to help it is to transition.

anecdotal evidence does not prove you right. However when looking for statistics, the most recent I could find were for 2018, and they varied from site to site. So I guess my statement is as trustworthy as yours
/r/MensRights05/11/21 10:50 PM

Probably because there is no need to push that, as men are slowly but surely working their way in. There are more male nurses, teachers, ect. Though I agree we need more men in social work. Women have proven to not always be the best at it, with how many horror stories there are from social service kids

Okay, saying women were happier is not true, because if they were then we wouldn't be where we are now with feminism. However, I agree on your point of women complaining about oppression when they themselves haven't been any more oppressed than anyone else is right now.

okay all 4 of those things are with minimal use. The article also uses the word "may" a lot, meaning it's not guaranteed Most drugs can be good for you in small doses. Its literally the opposite, because most people look down on women who do porn. So why would they choose to do it unless they needed the money or wanted to? And most women arent forced into porn, unlike how most women are forced to wear hijabs in the Muslim countries you mentioned.
/r/MensRights13/10/21 12:47 AM

Hes technically right, as prostitution is selling your body for money. Porn stars a paid to fuck people. Even solo stars can fall under this, as they are using their body for views for money

Dude? You're the reason guys arent allowed to show their emotions. You're on a men's rights page and you're literally gatekeeping masculinity.
/r/MensRights13/10/21 12:43 AM

I mean it's a mix of both. Pretty privilege is definitely a thing, and it doesn't just apply to women.
/r/MensRights12/10/21 03:42 AM
17

Actually I agree with him. Women who are jerks tend to be more two faced about it then men who are jerks. They usually don't insult people to their face, but talk about them behind their backs There are exceptions, but that does seem to be the majority of women jerks.
/r/MensRights12/10/21 01:31 AM

I feel like honestly it's pretty even in numbers. It's just people are always gonna hear it from one side more than the other depending on their gender, who they know, where they live, etc.
/r/MensRights12/10/21 01:27 AM
22

I found the post you're talking about, and you're right. The amount of people completely changing how the story was told to make him look like the asshole is insane and really sad. And every comment I saw defending the OP or calling out the other people lying were downvoted like crazy.
/r/MensRights04/10/21 11:42 PM
2

Dude, did you not read my comment? Most women don't look at the CDC statistics. Most PEOPLE don't. So there is no way in hell that women who don't want to date a bi guy are using CDC stats. Not to mention that using statistics to justify bigotry is still bigotry. You'd call me a bigot if I said I don't want to date black people because statistically black people commit the most crimes.
/r/MensRights04/10/21 01:14 AM
12

You weren't downvoted for quoting CDC stats. You were downvoted for A: missing the point of OP's comment And B: giving bigoted women the "benefit of the doubt" using CDC stats like most women who won't date bi men actually look at the CDC instead of using whatever bullshit they want to justify their bigotry
/r/MensRights03/10/21 04:25 PM

So why is no one suggesting we get rid of the draft completely? No seriously, stop legally forcing men to sign up for something that could get them killed and there is no longer an issue. No draft, no issue.

/r/MensRights17/09/21 08:25 AM

Dude, no one here is an incel. You're just throwing that word around. Incel is short for involuntary celibate. Dont you think someone desperate for sex would be HAPPY that some women "make the first move"? That they might flirt with and touch them?
/r/MensRights17/09/21 06:13 AM
7

So you realize that this post is talking specifically about women who dont ask for consent, right? You realize that he said "a lot" not "all", right? And that by saying that he just hates women because he called out female predators, you're saying ALL women are female predators, right? You literally just fucked over your own point in a lame attempt to do whatever the hell your intent with your comment was. So, either you're a troll or you just didnt think it through. Congrats.
/r/MensRights17/09/21 06:09 AM

I'm assuming it has to do with having better insight when it comes to dealing with feelings. But honestly overall men and women are equally as bad at dealing with our emotions

I dont know where the pain tolerance thing came from, because honestly if you think about how most men react to pain compared to how women react to pain, its pretty clear men tend to have a higher pain tolerance. I mean, most men can get punched in the face and mostly shrug it off whereas most women cannot.
/r/MensRights14/09/21 07:17 AM

Yeah, no. first off, just because gender and sex USED to be the same thing doesn't mean they are anymore. They now have different definitions: https://cihr-irsc.gc.ca/e/48642.html Second, that mental illness you're talking about is called gender dysphoria, and literally the only known way of helping people with it is by making them feel comfortable as whatever gender they so wish to be. Dude. Gender isn't about what you physically are. That's sex. Your sex is male or female, but your GENDER is something different entirely. I'm not an expert in this field, so I suggest doing some research of your own and talking to actual professionals.
/r/MensRights01/09/21 04:34 PM

In this case, the distinction had to be made. A trans woman is a woman, but if they haven't gone through the transformation yet, they still have a dick. So just saying "women" in this case would not work because that would include trans women, even though under the legal definition they can still be charged with rape while a biological woman could not. Edit: phrasing
/r/MensRights31/08/21 03:25 AM

It still doesn't count a girl forcing someone into her as rape. It still only counts the perpetrator as the person penetrating someone else with something.

I think she's trying to say she'd rather believe someone is guilty even if they aren't than think a legit rapist is innocent. I mean, I don't see how either is okay, or why we have to choose between always believing the accuser or always believing the accused.
/r/MensRights28/07/21 04:52 PM

It's pretty obvious when she says "women", she means herself. And is just assuming every other woman agrees with her
/r/MensRights14/04/21 02:25 PM

With that last sentence, it 100% depends on previous agreements. Some partners actually like it when their SO do things to them in their sleep. But that has to be established well before it actually happens.

Unfortunately yeah. The word "rape" has become one of those that on a lot of sites using it (regardless of context) can get your post deleted, your comments locked, or even your account banned or flagged.

Actually it kinda makes sense that it would be seen as worse. Because with appearance, it's just appearance. But if you flat out say "that person's entire personality is not my type" (which I personally think is a valid thought to have about someone), you're basically saying you don't like them because of their identity. So while it's not nearly as shallow, it's a lot more hurtful to hear. And for the record, I would like to say that it's completely fine if you don't vibe with someone's person…

Legit this whole thing would be avoided if they just said "I hate all bad men" or "Kill All Bad Men" One word would change the whole thing. However, they won't say that, because despite their insistence that "all" does not mean all, it clearly does and they are just trying to justify their sexist behavior.

The difference is consent. They aren't actually wrong about how it's wrong to go looking for leaked nudes. It's a breach of privacy and completely unfair. Yes and no. I personally believe that your website name is pretty... overdramatic. It's not slavery as much as it is just prejudice. And it could very well be seen as a racist site just off the name alone, if no one checks out the site.

I mean, I feel like it's mostly based off of the website name... Modern American Slave sounds like either an alt-left or alt-right website. I'm not saying you're either of those, I'm just saying the name alone is probably what's getting you in trouble there.

The only reason teenagers aren't held as responsible is because of age alone. Most 15 year olds know what they are doing and what they are risking if they have sex. If you're going to sit there and honestly say that teenagers don't know that having sex even protected is a risk, then honestly you're a fool. As for the "shouldn't/can't" part... do you honestly think that 15 year olds SHOULD be having sex? Really?
/r/MensRights27/03/20 11:26 PM

No, but I am of the belief of "you don't want a baby, don't have sex". It's that simple. Yes, there is the chance of a rape victim getting pregnant, but that's honestly happens a lot less than some people would have you believe.
/r/MensRights27/03/20 12:43 AM

I see this argument a lot. In the case of using condoms, or using the pill, it stops the fetus from even appearing. There is no chance that there would be a child. However, when a girl get's pregnant, there is a definate chance that the fetus will go into a child. Unless there is a miscarriage (or it's aborted) it will have a chance at life.

It's still stopping life. The way I see it, it's like going back in time and killing someone when they are just born. It's erasing whatever life they could have possibly had. And to me, that's worse than murder. At least when someone is murdered, they had a chance to have a good life before hand

You're not disproving my point. In your example, the employees are the way they are, regardless of how people view them. The TRUTH is that they act a certain way. The OPINION is how people view them. Using terms like "my truth" "your truth" "their truth" is subtlety, whether you like it or not, trying to change opinions into truth. A woman thinks all men are trash because of the men she's met. That's her opinion based off of her experience. However, the TRUTH is that not all men are trash, she's…

That's not what privilege means... You're right, it's not. However, "male privilege" is a term that neo-fems have started using to tear men down. Yes, everyone has "privileges". You're overthinking it. Men and women commit roughly the same amount of crime. However, men tend to get caught and sentenced more often. Violence is a hard thing to statistically look at, because yes, statistically, men are more violent than women. But, women actually hit people roughly about the same as men do. They just don't hit as hard, or leave bruises as often, so it's not seen as "serious" as when a male does it. When guy slaps a girl in public, most people's first thought is "Wow, what a…

What I find extremely stupid about these people is that THEY WERE YOUNG ONCE TOO, and they damn well know that there was always someone (a celebrity, a teacher, a store employee, etc) that if given the chance, they would have sex with without question when they were teens. It angers me that women pretend they aren't just as hormonal as men are.

Okay, but kids also shouldn't be scared of things that aren't going to hurt them. Those boys had no ill intent, and for as wrong as this mom was about most of it, the one thing she got right was that the skate park didn't belong to those boys, and that she had every right to skate there too.

Well, in the case of one male only group, that wouldn't hurt anyone either. The only thing that would actually cause damage is if one gender wasn't allowed to do STEM at all. Even if everything got subjugated to male groups and female groups, everyone would still have a fair chance at joining STEM

Okay, about a year ago a bunch of controversy surrounding the "Boy Scouts" surfaced. There was talk of girls trying to join, and that it wasn't okay, blah blah blah. That's all I knew about it at the time. While I don't really support CNN, here's an article that mostly explains the situation: https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/01/us/boy-scouts-girls-trnd/index.html

Okay, but that's another part of my question you missed. I said to think without the "if things were switched" and "it's not fair" mentalities. Because in the end, one group for just all females isn't going to hurt anybody. If it starts to be that only girls are accepted in STEM in general, then we can get the pitch forks and torches, and I'll charge along side you into that battle. But as of now, there is no real problem with it. Also, because this thread got downvoted into oblivion, every time…

Okay, I realized my last reply didn't quite come out as I meant it. Let me fix it, and then respond to that.

That is a fair point. However, what if this group is for females actually interested in STEM, and not necessarily just hiring any female?

Ah. My thought one the whole Scouts thing is: why not have a co-ed one that's separate? A common argument for allowing girls into the Boy Scouts is "the Girl Scouts don't do the same stuff" okay, then change that. Or like I said, have a co-ed one that separate from the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

Alright, fair point, all of it. However, you're missing a big piece of my question: there is more than just the one STEM program. So why not go into one that has no problem with boys and girls joining?
/r/MensRights23/08/19 03:10 AM

Yes and no. Let's say that there was only ONE STEM group in the whole world, and it only allowed women in. Then, yes, that would be a problem, because men would have no chance of being in a STEM program in that scenario. However, there isn't just one STEM group. There are dozens, hundreds. So why wouldn't a guy just choose another STEM group? I mean, the females only one clearly doesn't want to be associated with men, so why would men want to be associated with it?

I wouldn't say most, I'd say more boys are interested in video games than girls are. And there is a difference.

It's one thing of STEM when there are lots of others that people can join. Yes, while it would be sexist to say men CAN'T join, why can't they just join another one? Same with if there was an only male one that females couldn't join. Yes, it would be sexist, but why couldn't they just choose a different one?

In the case of your friend's daughters not being interesting in video games, that's not so much a boy/girl thing as it is a person to person thing. My sister loves video games almost as much as I do, and I've met several other women who are into gaming.

Okay, so let me ask you this: what is your opinion on girls joining the boy scouts? I'm not trying to change the subject, I'm trying to make a point.

It proves that people would rather downvote and leave than stay and explain their position. It also proves that most people don't have any logical arguments, so they just hate and go.

That's basically what I'm asking. Edit: I didn't mean that in a "why isn't there men only STEM programs" I meant that in a "if there was A male only STEM program, why wouldn't the women just join a different one"

Alright, all points are valid. Thank you for your answer. I'm glad someone actually did think objectively with this question.

Okay, sure, but why not join one of the tons of other co-ed STEM programs?
/r/MensRights22/08/19 06:42 PM

And you were downvoted into oblivion just for mentioning it. No one argued, no one commented, just downvoted and left. They just unknowingly proved your point.
/r/MensRights22/08/19 06:42 PM

Because it's not? Objective means without bias, without emotions, and just logically. If there are tons of other programs for both men and women, why is having just one that's all female bad? I edited the post to further show that this was a hypothetical question and experiment, more than an actual question.

Alright, that's a fair one.

I should have probably also added to not go off the "but the feminists would" mentality either.

That's very true

I know I'm going to get hate from this, but I simply ask you to be understanding, and instead of just downvoting and leaving, reply with your answer/argument. This is more of a hypothetical question than a legit one. What is so wrong with one female only STEM program when there are still thousands of co-ed ones out there. Think objectively, not with the "if it was switched" mentality, without the "but the feminists would" mentality, and without the "it's not fair" mentality. Actually think about…

"EVERY SINGLE boy has been toxic at least once" So has every girl. Everyone has been "toxic" at least once in their life.

I was raised by just my mother, so I was never told to "man up" by a parent, and was allowed to express my emotions and troubles. But I also had a strong male presence while growing up to, whether a male teacher, or older male student who would take me under their wing, so I grew up in a way that made me not ashamed of my feelings. I'm one of the lucky ones, in that regard. I feel sorry for every man, regardless of age, who's told to "man up" because it's not "manly" to cry.

The "Not Guilty" sentence. It can and has happened, which is why women (and men) are afraid of coming forward because they think they'll lose more than they already have.
/r/MensRights25/07/19 04:46 AM

Not really? I mean, the same happens to people accused of such things sometimes. The lack of evidence FOR them get's them in trouble

I mean, she's kinda right? Just because a court system "proved" one didn't rape someone, doesn't necessarily mean the accused didn't. I doubt that's the case here, but sometimes rapists, murderers, etc, do get off simply because of "not enough evidence" or because a judge made a stupid decision.

That's probably their plan, in the long run

This is literally so disappointing. Its sexist, and just stupid. And the fact that this had 667 upvotes before you downvoted, and probably even more now, is extremely sad, and worrying for the future.

That's really fucking stupid. All that's going to do is get more people killed.

You know, with the whole "men in the family treating the boyfriend like the enemy" thing, I feel like if it's done right, it could be useful. As long as it's only the first time the guys and the bf meet, and it's more of a test than a threat, it could prove if the guy is worthy of being with the daughter. Granted, doesn't prove if the daughter is worthy of being with the boyfriend, but that's a different problem

Dude, a woman can falsely accuse a man of sexual harassment/assault, and even if it's proven he didn't do it, or the woman comes out and says the truth, the guy's life is already ruined. He could have just told her to stop procrastinating, and boom, he's now accused of rape and fired from his job, and will spend the rest of his life not being able to find a job because he was accused of raping someone. That's how much power a woman has in the work place.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
