I haven't experienced the forgoten wallet scenario...yet. I did work out that if this ever happens in the future the fact that nearly everyone has smart phones these days gives him no excuse not to ask a friend to transfer him the money. Already pre-empting 👑

Even the laughing and clapping hand emoji under it make by blood boil. It's like "I'm such a 🤡, give me validation men folk for being a dweeb to my wife". I wrote a comment about my use of emojis a while ago but now I'm also start to pay attention to what emojis scrotes use to try and justify or downplay their shady behaviour.

I really love this quote. Audition with words AND actions! Back in my pickme days I would be over the moon with guys doing the absolute bare minimum as long as they liked or approved of me. How the tables have turned 👑

No actors for me - or actors over 30. Those I dated hadn't been in anything since they were at uni (and only did side jobs that just about covered the rent). Still using headshots that were at least 5 + years old, no agent or blaming everything on everyone else (usually an ex girlfriend) and making no effort to go out and make it happen for themselves. But yet telling everyone they were an actor. I mean there are amazingly talented kids coming out of high end places like RADA who are well on the…

On a side note I had a guy try to convince me how great playing Dungeons & Dragons was. I can't see anything great wasting 5 hours of your day in a role playing fantasy game

I have never had many friends but the majority of women I know except one or two did something along these lines. This is from the ages of my late teens through to my mid 30s. A few have had families and moved away and priorities changed although most got/and still have a boyfriend and their goal is purely to be married. One girl affected me quite badly. She spent 3 months constantly breaking up with her bf saying she was done and moving on (but everytime she was engineering how to get back with…

Notice how men like to build things but when it comes to cleaning they "like to be kind" and leave it to the women 🤨

One guy online wanted to go to an acqua theme park for the first date (he even sent me the website link). I half joked I didn't want to get my hair wet and he unmatched me. Such a relief he showed himself up straight away. I often see others saying they want someone to go Harry Potter world with etc. Essentially they are not capable of going on their own and just want to drag some female with them.

Yes! Either guys were like "I'm proud of my (unhealthy, slovenly) dad bod" or they dismissed my workouts because they deemed theirs to be harder because they used heavier weights or all the guys in their class were alpha males with that kind of mentality 😤 I used to do a classes with a woman who was a former Hollywood stunt women. Her classes were amazing! 👑

Was feeling pretty fed up that 2 guys asked me for a date and then both stopped talking to me and the days we were supposed to meet came and went. I have spent years thinking it was something wrong with me when this happened. It's been great reading old posts on here this weekend that it is not me and everyone's strong badass comments. This sub is like having the best friend/no nonsense family member I never had 👑

I have done so many of these early on. I used to volunteer at a charity overseas for street cats and used my annual leave for it. I got so many pathetic pussy jokes and the rest thought I was crazy for using my own money and annual leave to do this. They weren't remotley bothered it was something I was passionate about or for a good cause But they acted like superheroes for running a triathlon or doing tough mudder. Or wouldn't give give a few dollars to anyone collecting for charity.

Imagine if you said you charge full price in $$$ for your artworks and there are no discounts. They would hit the roof. Makes me mad they expect you to give up your time, energy and skills for free.

I gave up on Bumble the other year (pre FDS) because aside from women having to start the conversation I was ALWAYS the one asking the guy if he wanted to swap numbers/meet up. Barely any of them followed through on an in person date. Two years of misery on that app.

I ended up going to the supermarket last night when England was playing. It was so peaceful! I swear its the only sport where fans fight each other. At least in other sports like ice hockey it's the players who just deal with any issues on the ice.

No actors over 35 chasing leading man roles when they have barely had any small roles. One guy wanted me to wait around after for 5 hours after work and meet him at the stage door at 10pm because he was busy playing a centaur in Harry Potter. Another was an elf in some Winter Wonderland show. Save those roles for the younger folks as they would genuinely be better and more talented. So relieved I never met either but ashamed to say I considered it!

Something small I have found myself doing through finding FDS this year is my use of emojis in messages. Mainly messages to men but also to anyone who I was particulary concious of being judged or criticised by. I always added in emojis such 🙈🤦🏻‍♀️🤣to downplay and belitte my own thoughts, opinions and feelings. Essentially giving men permission to make fun of me or making fun of myself first in order to be liked (pickme cool girl) or even to avoid guys saying something hurtful. This was very tru…

Yes :) I am not sure if I will watch yet it as I love her books. There are another 2 related series of books with some other great female protagonists. I met the author at a book signing once and told her I was channeling my inner Zoya (one of the characters) especially in the world of OLD. She laughed in a nice way and said something like "Oh gawwd. Yes, make sure you keep those standards high!"

I also found that once they found somone else they would completely disappear. Then later down the line once it had ended get back in touch with me like they had never been away or use me as a free therapist to help make them feel better about themselves being single/lonely. I can't believe I used to engage with them afterwards like this 😤

Working Girl is one of my favourites. It's an 80's movie with Melanie Griffiths and Harrison Ford (plus some big amazing 80s hair styles)

I wanted to share one of my favourite books called Language of Thorns: Tales of Dark and Dangerous Magic by Leigh Bardugo who is one of my favourite authors (I know she has an adaptation of a series on Netflix but I haven't watched this). She mainly writes young adult fantasy but there is very little romance and it is more about strong characters. She has a one off book of modern fairytales and I wish I had a book like this growing up. It teaches so many lessons. Here are some of my favourite qu…

Love this! I came across this just after a guy last night (who I had been talking to a for a week on an app) asked me if there was a reason I didn't respond much. I was responding 2-3 times a day. I felt the need (pre FDS) to apologize but told him Im a PA to 10 people and they come first during working hours. Then he said he had been hurt before and in the same sentence asked if I would be up for suggestive and flirty texts. Felt like politely saying no thanks but I ended up just unmatching him…

Don't wait around for a guy. Don't wait for him to show interest, don't wait around for him to be free, don't wait while he decides what he wants, don't wait around hoping he will see your self worth and how valuable you are - you already are valuable. Don't let a guy try to change plans already made (especially last minute) because it's easier or more convienent for him. Live your life for you because at the end of the day you matter the most ❤ (and to quote our new favourite Tik Tok queen Hotm…

I dated a guy who lived with his ex because they were "really good friends". In fact they had dated at uni and just renewed their lease on their house and worked at the same place and so "it was convenient" for her to give him a lift into work. I stayed over once and although they had seperate bedrooms and I didn't meet her I could her her asking him if he had someone round and complaining about something to do with. I thought at first it was rude of her but finally realised he could of actually…

There are few videos on You Tube by former secret service agent Evy Poumpouras who talks about a some everyday items women can carry plus a few moves to make someone let go of you in order to be able to run away. Even her interviews are worth a listen. She is a real badass!

I've had a bunch of guys on Hinge send me a comment alongside their like in which they have made fun of my hair, clothes even the wallpaper in my house (e.g. laughing emojis or "why is your hair like that, I can't figure it out"). One guy even sent a comment saying I must not go outside much because all my photos were indoors. Why would I match back with people like that? Guys seem to think it is classed as banter or having a sense of humour.

I remember going backpacking in my early 20s and although I found it hard to make friends being quite shy I would go out everyday and do things on my own/chat to locals. This very needy/nerdy guy latched onto me and I felt a bit sorry for him and thought he was harmless. He stayed on in Oz after I left and continued to message me saying how lonely he was. I always replied and tried to be encouraging. I heard nothing for about 6 months when he got back in touch and said something like "sorry for …

Since working from home I have had some of the low budget made for tv movies on in the background. I never used to pay attention to them much until this finding this sub but a lot are about women who let LVMs in and they turn out to be stalkers, abusive or the woman finds out they cheating. Some obviously get rescued by another guy but there are quite a few where they start to sense stuff is not right or a female friend does some research and uncovers the truth

Still a newbie here so I am not sure if creating a new post is OK but since joing FDS the last 2 months I have realised how my male friends have crossed the line/boundaries. In my early 20s I had some genuinely nice male friends who looked out for me. They drifted away as they started families or moved cities. However, I realised this week that out of the of the male acquaintances I now have (around 6) that all have crossed the line/boundaries with me in the last 3 or 4 years. I tried to laugh i…

I'm not sure if this comes under narcissist but I would like to add: Anyone who stills lives with an ex Anyone who still continues to meet up with an ex because they were "best friends for so long" or who sees them because they are still in the same friendship group Anyone who blames or uses their ex as an excuse not to put me first or even have basic courtesy towards me Anyone who gives me backhanded nicknames plus despite me saying I didn't like it and found it upsetting Anyone who expects me …

There is a tv show called Don't Tell the Bride where the grooms are given around £12,000 to plan the whole wedding in 3 weeks and the bride is not allowed to know any details. The majority of these guys are shockinging lazy and have never bothered to learn anything about their future wives. They blow large sums of the budget on tacky stag dos for themselves, silly theme weddings, wrong size dresses for the bride, sometimes forget or run out of budget for hair, makeup, forget to invite the brides…

I dated a guy who insisted on living in a basement which I hated. No windows, no running water or a toliet. I ended up getting cystitis / UTI and was devastated. I had to pay close to £200 for an emergency doctor and antibiotics. He didn't seem to understand I just wanted somewhere decent and practical to sleep. Felt like I came across as princess after getting so upset

This is so good to hear! I also am very grateful. I am mid 30s now but have pretty much been a pickmeisha since I was 17. A few years ago I hit an absolute low point and knew I had to change in order for my life to change although didn't know entirely how. I still had pickmeisha tendancies but some things did improve slowly. It it has only been since lockdown and finding this sub that my eyes have been fully opened. Newbie here! I reactivated my dating profile although it seems like nearly every guy is writing that they want someone to adopt a puppy with. So is that essentially my only value? Just feels like they are already putting a pet first. Besides you would have to be dating long a while before even moving in and getting pets. Can totally understand if someone already has animals and needs someone compatible.
