Exactly - the people pleasing is still there, but its going away with time. Its a deep-seated subconscious thing that is the product of years of childhood neglect. the best thing to practice is exposure imho. I all started this with therapy and realising the cause (rocky relationship with mom basically) and i went from there.

From everything i've learned from therapy and all the self-help bullshit on youtube etc, the only thing thats really worked is literally being my own best friend, my own parent and my own cheerleader. Thats literally it - noone else is going to do it. I literally just tell myself everyone else is inferior compared to me and it works.
