Yup, but fortunately the kids carried it on after their rebellious stage and we now live in the American Imperium. I'm inclined to that, impressive empire.

Imperialist. But we've lost out empire so it's not currently an 'in vogue' view. But why pretend it's not best to be the most powerful nation?

Is it? What metrics are being used to draw such a conclusion. Very, very difficult to believe this is even coherent in view of increasing rate of human achievement. We are in the foothills of a cold war. We wouldn't be if we were on the verge of collapse. If we were on the verge of collapse we wouldn't be remotely able to engage in great power contests - but we are engaged in Great Power contests. If there is a collapse its because we lose that war. We very well might. But we haven't yet.

Oh 10 whole years? Or 1/3 the length of the average mortgage. 65% of businesses fail within the first 10 years. US Census bureau indicates only 12% of businesses last 26 years. This is pitching itself as an alternative CURRENCY. Most of its competitors have endured for centuries. Not to mention the balkanisation you refer to. It really is a city in the desert.

But they are not being user like money. You can't use them to buy gas. You can't use them in the supermarket. Hell you can't necessarily convert one for another without taking additional steps - something you can do in real world forex. It's middle class gambling and whilst I've had some wins with it people need to stop pretending this is an investment. It's completely unregulated and there's no authority within it. I wish everyone playing luck in the game, enjoy their time at the casino but imp…

Article seems dumb. Of course these tests are pursued because women cannot be trusted. It's singularly the point. There's nothing wrong either with 'trust, but verify' - genetic testing is simply verification.

Yes, I will be taking it. All the conspiracy stuff is pathetic to read - it's been done faster but equally this problem has had way more attention than usual. Think you'd have got the Manhatten Project done as quickly if there was no exigency?

New job is stressful but only insofar as not knowing that I'm doing enough or right. Think the organisation is aware of this. As to deal with it, walking in the forest is nice (literally on my doorstep) and more regretfully, drink.

I don't worry about it to be honest. If I get banned from somewhere (hasn't actually happened) then I'd just look at something else. Only minor irritation of a system wide ban would be rebuilding my subreddit index on a new account.

I wish I could find it, but I recall reading an account of a then young German soldier preparing a town in Eastern Germany for invasion by the Soviets. He was giving women advice to dress like a man to avoid being raped. They openly mocked him and said they would go with the enemy.

It's the game though. Don't get angry with it. Observe it, enjoy it. It makes a lot of sense, to close the nomination quickly (I'm not from US but suspect I would lean Trump), to throw one bit of red meat to the masses. Similarly with the Artemis programme - gender is irrelevant at that level of performance (that is they are all elite, male or female) - but having 'landing a woman on the moon' means more likely to secure funding. And its the funding that is important.

Won't make much difference really. She needs 16 people to issue a cheque I suspect. At that level there are other masses steering the actors. Citi is an institutional interest - any C-suite is there because committees have said so. She won't break it. Doubt it'll perform much better or worse than its peers.
/r/MGTOW12/09/20 07:09 PM
1

Be careful. What would or could you do with the information that is likely to result in a 'positive' outcome? If you have doubts and they are confirmed what would you change as a result? Also you should seek overt consent from the people you are seeking to test. If that's going to be a powder keg, a result would be a nuclear weapon.

I suspect its due to the efficiencies. A lot of 'work' doesn't need to be done. Just the illusion of it - there's little objective difference to many Excel monkey's doing their thing and sitting on the sofa masturbating. Now that's a lot of illusions built on illusions. As long as the grain is there to underwrite it it will continue.

Guess it depends on how you feel you'd enjoy applying the skills. Certainly as a tangent consider health insurance. I suspect the systemic thinking you'd be employing would be increasingly applicable in a lucrative market. However it might leave you cold topically.

I think I should maybe talk up my spending. Last night I authorised my bank to release funds to a local food establishment that obviously would have been experiencing difficult circumstances with the lockdown in effect. The action I took directly empowered them to continue making and delivering pizza which has a positive effect on the community. 😁

I think it's more that society seeks a position of neutrality. We don't like what's happened, but it's also not our problem. You could bring a private prosecution but society will never fund solving a lone man's issue. We want the collectives support? We have to pay for the rental. 😐

Hitler said exactly the same thing of the USSR. 'we only need to kick the door in, and the whole rotten structure will come crashing down' - did not turn out so. Didn't awake wanting to affirm Godwin's Law, but with the goal that open it was difficult to resist. 😂

There was once a TV show that I saw that covered some cats in a particular area. They kitted them out with sensors, cameras etc and tracked them. It was actually quite fascinating watching the ebb and flow of territory control. There is an upside to corona, it is affording, broadly, the tools to peel back this veil. This will get clearer as rime progresses. Prepare for more chop.

Avoiding relationships isn't unnatural at all. Just one of the many, many interations that nature tries. The abscence of relationships isn't precisely the same as abscence of procreation and that's why those who avoid relationships have continued to this day. That's to say, those who avoid relationships don't necessarily avoid fucking.

It's the only true hedge against a global catastrophe. You never need to pay for insurance. But if you don't and calamity comes you can't introspect indemnity. That said it will be a depressing place to live. The sun too dim. But the courtesy car is seldom as good as the one you insure.

It's an interesting question and one to which I have previously given thought. It ultimately resolved thusly: my greatest desire is an abscence of social expectation. Coronavirus quarantine has affirmed this belief as accurate. I could carry on like this in perpetuity.

There is no fully private practice at all in Canada - no way to pay more to go in a nice room, faster service etc? I've no familiarity - UK/US/Singapore/UAE is my costing experience.

C-section is more reliably priced than vaginal delivery. Whilst when covered private C-sections I'd expect to be on the hook for upto £15K in the UK, a vaginal delivery with a grade 4 tear can cost upwards of £40k from admission to discharge. Though I don't ever get involved with purely elective caesarians.

The tide is turning. Against a mgtow the societal carpet bombing doesn't work. MGTOW doesn't need reversing. Plenty of men and women can, and will have very good relationships and there is nothing preventing co-existence with MGTOW. No need to be extreme I don't believe - taking MGTOW to logical conclusion - who pays for the pensions ultimately? The notion that diversity is automatically good is a canard. In some things it can be good, sure. But demonstrably, in the realm of video games, it is not. Most industries benefit from corporatism - gaming does not - it is in fact injurious to the process of making good, novel games. The blunt truth in games is that only small indies are producing the novel concepts. And it was almost exclusively (there were women too) men that wrought the foundations that modern gaming stands upon. The key semi…

No, he's not the ass hole. I had an ex who started to carry a bit much, she was shoving cakes in 'to benefit African refugees'. To her what happens to an SRB at 45km altitude happened.

I think Bond might have the chutzpah to u-turn it in the event of failure. Its seen off padody and rip-off, survived Bourne and Le Carre - if it does bomb (which it might indeed do) they will probably publicly disown it (especially in view of The Joker and Kingsmen) and reboot with a new Bond - quite possibly a Daltonesque Bond that more closely mirrors the books.

Am British, can confirm. But we did do rather well at one point. What's of continual amusement for me is we granted women the right to vote in 1918 - our empire started it's decline in 1922. That's one parliament for the rot to set in and once the rot starts it moves rapidly - by the end of the 1960's we had conceded the vast majority of territorial claims. Rome's decline was far slower.

That's one of the key freedoms mgtow bestows - to truly choose your own trajectory. We'd be a movement if we all went our own way in the same direction. One guy here will bust it for massive pay - another is so profoundly disinterested in that objective he wants to live a simple life. But I contend the benefits of the automation have been what has led to the population growth. The automation is fundamentally about production, and a swelling species provides more things to produce for. I could be wrong, and only time will tell - but even today we are at historic lows for unemployment and at historic highs for both population and automated production processes.

/r/MGTOW30/08/19 05:03 PM

You may disagree but population doesn't. There's way more of us, more in fact today in paid employment than comprised the species when the steam engine entered the scene. Automation has so far, begat us more time and more people. Whether this trend is infinitely linear... Probably not. But there have to date been no true counter-indicators to the trend. There is only onward... But I do think Ted Kaczynski was possibly onto something with the misery the march will bring.

It's about identifying the thought loops. I posted about thoughts being like a vinyl record - with grooves and undulations. Sometimes our minds needle gets into these grooves and then we ruminate. It's essentially to have the presence of mind to recognise when your doing this - you cannot just rip the vinyl off the deck. You must let the song play. But the song WILL end. Then you can refocus on other things. Having a wank can put it into 'fast forward'.

Start walking a lot. I went from 105kg to 65-70 in around 18 months just by eating less and walking. Nothing extreme. At the very start you'll hate it, but once you've been underway for a bit you'll start to feel good. Just rinse and repeat to target weight.

The player is only worth that sum in the context of the team they will be in. An engine has many components, and when feminist football has real footage of real stadia packed to capacity then this conversation can be revisited. In the meantime they should stop with the fake CGI stadia and acknowledge that a players value is connected primarily with his ability to produce results that sell seats and merchandise. The CGI stadia prove feminist football isn't a great performer economically. Or on th…

There is a photo of the actress who played Dr Cuddy in House back when the writers strike was on (and if there have been multiple strikes the one that took place when house was airing). The sign said 'honk of you like House'. I always thought it was the word to describe using a car horn.

Another one to note - 1918 Britain gives women the vote (because that was how to get women into factories to produce munitions to support troops fighting in WW1 - look up David Lloyd George and the munitions crisis). Father eventually tired of this and the punishment was locked in: we were getting smacked bottoms when we got back to the apartment. We were atop the mountain so had to descend, travel back to the apartment - 3-4 hours between learning our punishment and receiving it. It was definitely a formative experience. Was he abusing me? What's sad is that the UK is undergoing one of the most momentous events in it's history - a long and storied history at that - and this is the tenor of debate. This is pretty poor tbh. It also cuts your path off to making more general comments about O-rings and the problems they cause. To be clear: McAuliffe and the rest of the crew were beyond reproach. Reading the investigation report it appears they were even able to engage some emergency equipment before impact. They survived that explosion. They died hitting the water. Its a very hard thing to read.

Having recently lost my Nana who passed with my holding her hand, no, she didn't die alone. I used to think as stridently as this, but there is no need. Certainly forgo a woman, but you simply don't always die alone. The fullest extension of this logic is that you are always alone at all times, even when communicating with others. That's malign logic masquerading as helpful information.

So broadly speaking the same reasons men go their own way? Not sure what the article was trying to achieve - provoke men into prostrating themselves to women again?
/r/MGTOW05/10/18 06:20 AM

They had very different approaches. In the SU women and men worked broadly as equals. Women served to fight etc. In Germany more emphasis was given to childbearing by mothers - they even had awards for the most productive mothers. The phrase Kinder, Kuche and Kirche (Children, the kitchen and church) was commonly employed. Depends what we mean by 'rights' but get the impression German women were more elevated in their society.

I suspect it's a bit kamekazi on his part. He will utilise the dock to describe (probably in some detail) the relationship dynamics. He's certainly got resources and little else to realistically do with them but go to war.

In care jobs there are additional considerations, and absolutely it's right that for bathing and personal hygiene that the patient is treated by someone of their own gender. Similarly I wouldn't expect a woman to discuss a gynaecological issue with me if she didn't wish to.

No, don't expend energy on hate. It requires active thought - thought you might as well deploy towards more useful endeavours. I appreciate from your present vantage point this may seem difficult, but if you commit to going your own way you could set yourself up for a pleasant, straightforward but complicated where you want it to be life. As for the task your grandmother set - I would do it. I lost my Nana this weekend and wish she could ask me to build a backyard now. Don't hate - fly above it.…

Not exactly - but that's a good literal interpretation of the phrase. My apologies, I am utilising aphorism when I should probably be more literal in my meaning. I really appreciate you taking the time to answers these questions. What I meant here was when visiting for a short period, perhaps a month, what would be worth visiting; key cultural sites that are less known to tour guides etc, experiences to take in; events and the like, sports worth observing that you wouldn't find elsewhere, things…

Ah, the internet access element wasn't a concern per se. My loner comment was more from a position as keeping myself to myself. I'd certainly partake in the local community if I was welcomed but would understand if I was not welcome. I think I might look into this a lot more closely.
/r/MGTOW03/04/18 04:41 PM

Culturally I'd expect a step change. But that seems very tempting. I'm getting the impression that if you are reasonably wealthy with ability to use the Internet many modern conveniences exist in the country? Have you had the opportunity to travel to the west to contrast?

Boomers are to blame, they had the numerical count to get legislation that favoured their circumstances. Subsequent generations lacked the numbers to possess similar influence. Though blame probably isn't the right word because that implies they are responsible for something which at the time I doubt they had conception. A bit like blaming oil companies for global warming as though I had no agency in combusting the product they delivered to me.

That's really not a strawman - sperm was implicit because it is a necessary component of a pregnancy. As a man going his own way, I like to take responsibility for my actions - this includes ensuring women do not become pregnant by me. You absolutely have a responsibility to do the same if you desire the same outcome. Continue with your present reasoning at your peril.
/r/MGTOW04/03/18 08:28 PM

I'm not saying I'm up for funding everything for them - far from it, socialised medicine though is broadly something I'm for. A person's moment value changes - a poor 20-something saved might go on to contribute huge amounts in the future - had they died that opportunity is snuffed out. But thanks for understanding my position - a far too rare event these days! Have a great weekend.

Mgtow is a way of life, not an extinction level event - pregnancy is necessary. Therefore obstetrics are necessary. These need to be paid for. And men outnumber women in the field... This is not something to argue about - water is wet, the sky is blue and ultimately extinction isn't an optimal outcome.
/r/MGTOW03/03/18 06:22 AM
1

It's more to do with the fact gynaecology is a complex field of medicine and obstetrics bills are necessarily generated by women, in fairness.
/r/MGTOW02/03/18 11:42 AM

Actually we have to knowingly omit gendered data for actuarial calculations, at least here in Europe. Women cost way more in healthcare too (pragmatically I do understand why) - but they nevertheless cost more.

Odd, especially coming from someone that goes for leather trousers but when asked what the naughtiest thing she ever did was she replied that it was running across a field. As someone who has a deep and abiding passion for gaming, but not the AAA stuff that she railed against I watched this entire episode from afar and with some amusement. She hasn't I feel had any impact on gaming at all. This event is appearing increasingly to be a tragedy. But yes, I find the BBC highly disrespectful to the male personnel who I fear have been lost. Who are the other crew members? I have sent the following complaint to the BBC: You write at length about what nickname she has, where she is from, what she is good at, what she has achieved. 32, and apparently mgtow since I was around 25 but didn't know of the flotilla. Stopped once I had my own place and realised women never assumed primacy within my spheres of interest - there was simply always something of greater importance to attend to. Sure got hurt a bit trying along the way, but this was probably equally my half-assed efforts as much as their behaviour. I don't get angry with the sea being wet, I just attire appropriately. Nevertheless a man needs to express rage and so this…

Ok, Ian, this is a railway track and our trains will collide. Mine has the greater mass, the greater resources, the ability to run on fumes. We will collide, you will try to take, but I control the taps of my productivity, I will willingly produce less for your society, I will do the bare minimum of productive work as your society perceives it. I will be fine, other resources can be squirreled away in places you can't reach however much you might grope and search for them. Would you like to turn…

This is pretty much what I do. Though I do work in an office as I enjoy the interactions, and hey, maybe I can do some good within the giant since I'm not easily threatened with termination. Revealing is sooo tempting, but you immediately become a marked man.

There's this one neat trick... Fixate on an eye level object at the far end of the street. Walk at it at speed. No one will hit you except phone zombies. Try it, it somehow works.

Most 'facts' on reddit aren't strenuously checked. I posit you prefer what you read there and therefore make it 'truth' in your mind (nothing wrong with this - having some fantasy I'm your psyche is probably good) but to come here and then create an unnecessary conflict or race between two subreddits wasn't really necessary, I can't conceive how you thought this wouldn't just get people's backs up. However whilst seeing the thread grow is interesting, it is not really the objective - this mgtow …

You say that as though it was a bad thing? (the doritos and video games). Sure, it doesn't pay me like the health insurance thing I do for the money, but video games and a smoke with fresh coffee alongside, that's a wonderful way to spend a day.

I wouldn't worry, the new one will be as well remembered as the Total Recall remake, which I'm sure you struggle to recall. Or robocop (I'm out of puns) for that matter.

He was a homosexual who was very central to the Bletchley Park/Enigma/Ultra cryptography and computing during World War 2. After the war his homosexuality was discovered and as it was illegal in Britain at the time he was given the option to have chemical castration instead of jail. Sadly it had a profound effect on his being and he committed suicide. British society decided to posthumously pardon him, whatever the fuck use that was to him. A genuine tragedy.

It will have profound and debilitating effects on how you think. Just look what happened to Alan Turing. It's the same as medicating a lot of mental illness, to quote a film I saw recently about Bobby Fischer, you'd be pouring concrete down the holy well.

I've lived the solo life for approaching a decade now, that I haven't felt a negative to that solitude at this point leads me to conclude I probably never will. I guess there will be a good chance I could be one of those 'was dead for 3 years undiscovered' people you read about from time to time. Often with banal accompanying piece about how sad isolation is and that society 'must do better'. Anyway, I'm not dead yet so back to the games.

'gamer' is an awfully broad term nowadays. This is from chess/bridge/go all the was down to candy crush saga, so I'm inclined to believe this. For those that might remember video game arcades, I felt there was always a reasonably balanced mix there, and I'm talking last millennium. Within my favoured platform (PC), not a chance.

Can be wildly variable. Sometimes I just want to play Stellaris and eat ramen. Other times, I'll want silver service steak from a local hotel restaurant (I eat alone always, sitting by myself). So anything from £25/week to £250/week.

This is all true, but as this lifestyle is somewhat terminal to procreation, that idyll need be only my lifetime. A century is very transient, depending on your perspective.

But are we on the sidelines? Are these transient cultural viscitudes really 'winning' or do they loom large now like a wave that will break on the rock shortly? Frankly if the river of society continues as it does, mgtow is an ox bow lake, and can be idyllic.

Agree with that. Reading this subreddit it's clear there are two types of Mgtow (see this like a political party 2party system, not as a literal delineation between two things) , those who are hurting right now and seething at an I justice they feel against them and so they want to scream at the internet - it's literally fine. Then there are those who've gone past that point and are moving beyond adjusting to Mgtow, and are either enjoying and further advocating the lifestyle. I believe there is…

I'm surprised that the female doctor thing is a drama - we all knew that employment maneuver was inevitable and being a scripted role, very easy to achieve. The only thing I question to say why it is noteworthy at all - men and women perform many roles in society equally well and that isn't newsworthy.
