If you're possessive of something, you're invested in it. Girls like relationships because it shows you're invested and that makes them feel good for being able to make someone possessive of them. They want the possessiveness that comes with dating and can deal with the control factor for the right SMV.

It's also been in effect for quite awhile. There have been female dens in cub scouts since Jan, and the plan to roll out female patrols in BSA troops was announced at the same time. The time to complain has long passed, and it would take extreme effort to make them back frack against the pc minions at this point.

Eagle Scout here, my dad was our troop master and is still involved with the adult leadership training. The BSA is a dying organization, this is an attempt to stave off the wolves for a few more years. Membership is down in part because kids either don't want to leave their screens, or parents don't want to to spend the effort taking them to meetings/trips/camp. They especially don't want to go through that for multiple kids. So parents have complained about needing to choose between taking thei…

AWALT isn't a broad over-reaching rule that every woman acts exactly the same way in every situation. It's a general principle that all women attempt, in varying degrees, to get their way by whining, begging, lying, or threatening.

I once asked my dad, when applying for college scholarships/grants. They needed to know the family income to assess familial contributions. There was a list of ranges, each range spanned about 50k. That's as close as I got to knowing..

Archer is a little different, I have trained him to not jump, get on the couch or bed, and to not harass me for pets. He has a bunch of territory aggression of the house however, to the point where we can't have people over because if he got out there is no doubt he'd bite someone. This sort of thing never goes away, but with the trainer we can manage it to some degree.

I leave both of my dogs in their crates from 8-5 on weekdays, and having the companionship helps them. But before that, I would leave the dog in a crate with a food puzzle, with kibble + a calming treat. As soon as I get home, take them out to pee/poop then let them run around the yard for awhile.

Working with a dog trainer for my aggressive dog, frame is the most important tool. Dogs look at body language and feel your energy way more than they listen to the actual command.

I dislike untrained dog owners more than untrained dogs. A dog will be a dog, as much as possible. Unless they are trained, they will do whatever is the most fun. Untrained dog owners however either are apathetic in raising their pet, (so why did they get a pet to begin with) or believe they have a situation under control and think they are actually in charge. If your dog doesn't listen, you aren't in control.

I recently Adopted a dog myself. He listens to me, but not my LTR who claims to have much more experience with dogs. She has more time, but not more experience. I use the alpha approach, she uses the 'positivity' method. I move my dog if he is somewhere he shouldn't be, I lead where we go when we walk. He pees/shits where I stop for him to, and he sits calmly to get his food. LTR however talks to him, asks him to do things, follows him on his walk, brings his food when he jumps. Maybe I should t…

This could turn out to be a good thing. Women in the military who actually want to be there provide enough distraction and disruption as it is. Can you imagine how much worse it could get if there were women who didn't want to be there?

I make it a point to make sure my LTR apologizes for whatever she did. She knows what she did wrong, and I don't let any conversation or actions take precedence to an actual apology the next time I speak with her.

There is a possibility of it working, I think it's more effective to express it up front.

This example really isn't an ultimatum though. An ultimatum has a consequence, and if you don't have a consequence in there I believe she would be more likely to ignore it. The point is to make her choose, and to stick to whatever you said was going to happen. If you added " This won't work out if you go out every week." to the end of that, she would have to pick between going out or staying with you. If she ignores it, follow through.

Honestly through her message, all I saw was humble bragging and attention whoring. 'hey look! I'm having sex with a guy who is of decent enough SMV for me! Also I'm going to be hurt, comfort me when he inevitably leaves me for someone hotter/sluttier/more interesting!'

I agree with a heterosexual 2 parent household being the best environment for a developing child, I have seen multiple cases of the parenting not being the case, and the effect it had on the children as they grew to maturity. In multiple cases, the children grew to be narcissistic, unmotivated, and manipulative.

Besides a close group of friends I've known since I was in diapers, I don't talk to people from my high school days. Don't worry about other people's resentment, especially from those you will never see again after you graduate. High school relationships don't last, so you might as well aim high.

The girls do fall into the 18-20 range, you have to be at least that to get in to the bars here. My thinking behind this was 1. they are coming up to me, they are initiating with me 2. they are providing money for their own drinks, and i don't have a problem with it 3. theres some time to interact and escalate while we are waiting. the way i see it, i'm not losing and time, money, or effort cold approaching girls if they are coming to me with their own money.

As a slight twist on this, what about buying an underage girl a drink when she provides the money? This happens quite often in my college town, I usually allow it and try to escalate but I would like to know what the rest of trp thinks.

I can touch a little on the emotional side of LTRs. I was in a 4 year LTR and near the end of the 3rd year, started suffering from a severe depression. I started counseling and was advised to tell my gf about what we were talking about. So I opened up and started talking to her about it, but I talked too much. We broke up because she couldn't deal with it, because we pretty much reversed roles. Instead of being the emotional stability of the relationship, I was the one leaning on her. Some emoti…

In this example yes, you are right. But what I was trying to convey was that it extends past just on campus events. Pointless rewards for doing what is expected of you are hurting us by making us complacent.

It was petty as hell, but I felt like she deserved some karma for standing me up while actively trying to cheat. Yes, it was. You got stood up by a girl, one who is a relationship. Big whoop. But going out of your way to poke and prod her AND her LTR, it's just childish. Being alpha is about being above that petty crap and being a better man, but that just gives off the impression you are a whining child. If you had a second shot with her, you probably just lost it.

I keep a beard and in my experience most girls either love beards or hate them. My beard has gotten me more than a few numbers, but it has to look good. If you want to grow a beard just to save money on razors or to be lazy, stop right now. A well groomed beard will attract women, but beards are a part of your style just like your clothes and your attitude. It can help with the masculine vibe you are talking about, but only if you already understand how to display it. If you're looking for a sho…

Before I fully swallowed the RP, I used to browse the albums, never really bothered to look at the comments until afterwards. When I realized I was in the company of an endless army of betas and omegas, I felt disgusted with myself. Left /r/gonewild and never went back.

if I want her to think I'm attractive I need to start being nice. By her saying this, she already considers you attractive, but shes trying to keep herself from submitting and shit testing you. If a woman brings something up, even as a negative statement, its already in her head.

Let her know if she doesn't do X( sex, head, etc) then you will cut yourself loose and find someone who will. You are assuming the dominant position and saying I can have anyone, you have to prove you deserve me.

I think it is a little closer to sailing and motorboating. Yes, this thread is aimed at alphas looking for women, but I'm pretty sure you could take the same lessons here and apply them to guys who want to be alpha in the gay community. Gay men can span the spetrum from 'ohmygod I'm faaaabulooouuuss!!!' to roughneck lumberjack wrestling bears for sport. It makes sense there would be a gay man looking to be alpha, and I don't see another sub that shows them how to do that.
