You aren't being selfish by leaving, you are saving yourself. It's only selfish if you harm another person in pursuit of a goal. She is harming herself and you, she is the selfish one here not you. Get your shit in order and walk away. No sex with her period, a pregnancy now is the last think you need.

"Alternative #2 would be a loan from your 401k. While it stinks to pay high interest, in the case of the 401k loan, you are just paying the interest back to yourself." Make sure you check on the above statement. It's not always true. I investigated getting a loan from my 401K and in the fine print I found out that it was a loan with the 401K as colleterial so I wasn't paying the interest to my self. Makes for a tougher pill to swallow.

Sell the ring. Then buy a cheap copy and post a vid to your preferred social media of you throwing the fake into a lake or ocean. It's petty but with any luck she will see it and lose her shit. To be fair I'm not the worlds nicest man.

You've been given good, solid advice. You are Divorced, get her shit out of your house. Change the locks. If she shows up at your door call the cops. If she tries to confront you start recording with your phone and walk away without saying a word.

If you don't want to spend time with her and the new BF, Don't. It really is that simple. Your job is to be a great dad to your kids. She terminated her access to husband privileges, let her live with that decision.

There is no keeping this civil, she will go full send at some point because she told you she will. Since she was dumb enough send you a text about the fake DVRO talk to a lawyer and see if you can use that to get her out of the house. Go for full custody of the kids if your lawyer thinks it's doable. After everything has been finalized and the judge signs off on the final decree get them fired if you can/want too, not my style but to each his own.

This response really sums up my fears. After the feedback that I'm most likely not over reacting I am going to move forward with my objects. I am going to speak directly with my kid and talk about my concerns and point him to this forum. Maybe the collective pain and healing of this membership will turn him around.

Right?! I tried so hard to educate him on the dangers but kids refuse to learn from others mistakes sometimes.

I'll swing the conversation that direction and gage his response. Thanks for reminding me of that option.

That's the issue IMHO. He has had a couple of relationships but one ended really badly with the girl getting knocked up by another guy. I thought that kind of set his guard up but I believe you are correct about the love bombing.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
