Been reading here for a while, first post but no need to be gentle.

This post isn't about me (53M) but about my Son (26M, Mike). He is now engaged despite my best efforts to educate him on the dangers. I am of the opinion that his fiancé (39F) is using him as an ATM and will drop his ass as soon as it's good for her. My wife is not on the same page as me. To be honest it's starting to cause some friction but I can't let him stick his head into the wood chipper without saying something.

I won't even touch on the age difference, big red flag as far as I'm concerned.

Some of the stuff the fiancé says/does is just sketchy IMO but I come here in an effort to see if I'm reading too much into it and should just let it alone. I know this group is blunt to a fault so stay true to form.

The "couple" went from dating to engaged days after Mike landed a job that tripled his salary.

She "got fired" days after Mike cancelled his lease and moved into her place.

She claims to have applied to 200 jobs with no luck (1 moth time frame), seriously how can you apply to 200 jobs and not get one.

She wants to refinance the house to put his name on the mortgage. I see this as a way to make him liable for the payments when she doesn't get a job. So far this hasn't happened but it's only a matter of time.

She convinced Mike have a talk with me about my weight loss. I like to talk about losing 30lbs and how I did it, I'm proud of it because it's hard. She's at least 75lbs overweight. Not sure how me talking about my success triggers her. I wasn't even speaking to her, I was talking to another person at the get together. She's using this a wedge between me and Mike.
