Co-parenting is a guise that forces you to just do whatever the other parent wants. And if you don’t, you’re a “bad coparent”

I want 1 week on/off, she wants for me to only have the time Friday-Sunday. The current arrangement is 1 week on/off

How does your divorce look? Not good buddy. I’d get a lawyer like yesterday

Yeah. Divorce sucks and is very traumatic for the kids involved. Worst part is sometimes you feel like you’re the only one thinking about the kids and it just breaks your heart that they’re going through this too.

Ok good. To me, it sounds like you’re giving up a lot but again, every circumstance is different and same with every state. I’d just do what they would recommend

Before I answer, do you have a lawyer?

Yeah, a lawyer. Not to sound snippy but you only get one chance to divorce and it should be in your best interest to do this right. The easiest, best, and most logical way for you is to do this cutthroat

I think it’s a good idea. It’ll probably be mostly asking for legal advice but I mean, it’s worth a shot

In our proposed agreement, for an emergency, the parent whose parenting time should try to contact the other parent to consult but if you can’t reach them, you make the decision. For a decision like you mentioned, you guys have to come together on an agreement. If an agreement can’t be reached, you’ll have to abide by the recommendation of the expert/provider. They can ask for a second and third opinion of another provider at their cost.

I think Florida divorce laws are more strict than Ohio. I would file in Ohio. If you guys have an agreement, it’ll probably take 30 minutes if time from the each of you.

Remember when you first locked eyes on this sub and you saw things like “treating this like a business termination”, “no gloves”, grey rocking, and things like that? I thought “hey, I don’t think I need that, we’re amicable”. We did not end up amicable. Still going through it now but I should’ve lawyered up and filed the moment divorce came up.

What about before? Was it a low conflict divorce? Nothing has been filed yet for me unfortunately

Thanks for the response. My concern is that will this be looked down upon at a judge by taking these things away?

She uses her phone and car to make money. If I take those things away, she has no money to live and it forces my hand. The agreement we have on the table is a very fair agreement. 50/50 plus child support and I still pay for her car and other bills.

I usually hit up the main strip if it’s in a major city. Small town? Usually just dating apps and/or sports bar. Then there’s always Asian massage spots if you have a couple extra bucks.

I’m honest. “Somewhere between sex and a relationship.” Either way, I’d like to have sex.

I think you should read models. Obviously take it with a grain of salt but it should get the gears turning in the right direction. It also offers some good insight in mindset whenever you go want to get into it

You can’t win a girl over text but you sure can lose one. There is no right or wrong answer to texting between dates - specifically early on. It just depends on the person. Personally, I do like to keep contact throughout the week but keep your mindset focused on low-investment and abundance.

It really unlocked another level for me in terms of communication between people. It made me realize my outlook on women, anxiety behind it, and defense mechanisms my mind put in place to stop my growth. Obviously with any self-help book, take it with a grain of salt because everybody’s situation is a little bit different but this one really helped and I’m already seeing success. The biggest thing for me was not looking to impress the girl and stop being so needy - 2 of the core principles in th…
