Are you here to bitch about how hard it is or actually make a change?

I'm surprised anyone on here cares what other subreddits think

I don't think there's one of us who doesn't know that feel bro. It's a long road of self improvement but you'll make it

Because, for a lot of users, the questions afford no new information and have become extremely redundant.

I didn't read through the comments so maybe someone already said this. I had a problem with that too and still, to some extent, do. Even writing this post I'm wondering if the information is really that valuable and worth posting. However, I've found that if you just force yourself to immediately send it after you type it out it works out. Think about how in a conversation you can't take back what you said and insert something else. Plus, once you've sent it it's done. No regrets

I saw a video a few years ago on "lowering" your voice. As I remember, there's no way to actually lower your voice but, as you described, you can adjust the timbre of it. This also relates to choral study. If, while talking, you effectively breathe from your stomach the air will be forced through you're throat and vocal chords. What most people do, myself included, is strain air from high in the throat just behind the mouth which gets a nasally, higher pitch. What's helped me is to really focus …

Yeah that's another thing I forgot to mention. If you have the time do an activity or club or whatever it is your school offers. Also make friends with kids from other cities and schools. There's no reason why you shouldn't befriend them if you have the chance.

A lot of the material still applies. I would say that you're lucky taking part in the community so early in high school. I would have given anything to know about all this material my freshman year and been able to apply it throughout high school. As a graduating senior in two months I've got some things that would've helped me through out high school. Establish yourself as a fun, outgoing person now. Be friends with everybody and don't buy into the heirarchical bullshit that there are the "popu…

ah gotcha. Yeah, that's good. I would say kino is your best bet towards getting better responses. I joke around a lot too, along with good bit of teasing, and have found that if I don't put in a decent amount of escalation girls aren't sure whether to take me seriously or not. It may also be a simple matter of building more attraction. Verbal flirting will only go so far unless you're physically attractive and even then it's usually not enough.

First off: AskSeddit Second: It's not a bad thing at all. However, it sounds like you're either in highschool or college where a reputation of being a flirt can make things harder because, as you said, you'll have to find a way to convey more interest. What's your flirting style like? Verbal/kino?

Yes, it is indeed a semantic misunderstanding. Entitlement see 3. Privilege

Nope. Entitlement leads to complacency. If you're not getting something work harder for it. Perhaps it's a semantic misunderstanding, but I don't believe you feel that anyone innately deserves anything.

I think your problem is that your too focused on your relative standing to others. Stop drawing comparisons to other people and live for your own sake.

Quit feeling entitled to anything. By the sounds of it, it's your attitude that's holding you back.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
