Something that has helped me is Pride. I have a very prideful nature, and I'm able to use that pride to accomplish what I've decided. When I consider leaving off a task I know I should be doing, my train of thought often looks something like this: "I decided to do this. ### I decided to do this. Am I going to allow something to stop what ### I have decided?" I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but I hope it helps.

Appearance is very important. They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but really that is what we as people constantly do. So in order to make a good impression, to keep a good 'cover', we lift, we are aware of what we wear, and how we look. It's not a matter of insecurity; it's a matter of maximizing your advantage.

That doesn't always work. I formerly had Major Depressive Disorder, which I inherited from my father. Thankfully it was diagnosed early before it really sunk its hooks into my brain. Before treatment I was unable to get out of bed most days and I even attempted suicide. After beginning to take a pill the chemicals in my brain were rebalanced into something I could work with.
