What do you think of the stereotype that woman are deeply complex creatures with a myriad of wants and needs whereas men are simple creatures that are very easily satisfied?I think those stereotypes are a generalization, it is no secret that men and women want different things in the context of a relationship. I know men who look for a lot more than just the basic needs in a woman. Some men will want the simple things and others will stick by high standards. There is some truth to the stereotypes but those stereotypes are not the defining factors for many men and women. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/04/23 05:51 PM
Men want women who look promiscuous but don't actually act promiscousMen do not want a woman who looks promiscuous, why do you think so many men don’t like the idea of their girl going out in revealing clothing? You are right about men wanting women to not act promiscuous but that only applies to when it is towards anyone other than themselves. If a women acts promiscuous towards anyone other than their partner then that is just a big red flag and it definitely warrants a break up | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/03/23 10:42 PM
How are men supposed to even get a relationship nowadays? It’s not even about being just attractive, being attractive will only take you so far. You need social skills and you have to be confident enough to seize opportunities. I can’t even begin to explain how many wide open shots men miss out on. If you are attractive then sure you will see way more opportunities, if you aren’t that attractive but your social skills are top notch and you are confident around others then, for some, one opportunity will do it | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/03/23 03:18 PM
Is the high rates of mental illness amongst women contributing to the dating/relationship disparity?Based on what? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/03/23 10:16 PM
Is the high rates of mental illness amongst women contributing to the dating/relationship disparity? My ex was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety and on top of that, multiple personality disorder. All of which I didn’t find out about till 3 months into the relationship. Mental illness amongst women does seem to be very prevalent, I’m sure the majority of men today can remember that “crazy ex”. A lot of women self diagnose themselves too which only makes matters worse for them. They go out to seek relationships and only participate in therapy when it has reached a breaking point. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/03/23 09:59 PM
Women here advise guys to "touch grass" and "talk to actual women" yet stigmatize and threat profile men for approaching themSome women even end up having a relationship with the “ugly” guy. It’s subjective and it depends on who you approach, what one woman may find attractive in a guy another may look at is as a major turn off so odds are you’ll get a different response depending on the type of woman you’re talking to. The women online complaining about men not approaching women are the single ones who probably don’t get much attention at all from men. It doesn’t even matter anymore how involved you are in clubs or i… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/03/23 06:35 PM
Is the virginity rate among women rising too? There is a plethora of studies done from the start of the century that show how sex has changed with the help on the internet and technology and I think many can cover this from experience. Sex is clearly not viewed or practiced the way it used to and that’s because there has been a shift of collective views, there was a time that sex scenes were frowned upon in Hollywood and now it has become normalized. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 06/03/23 08:41 PM
Is the virginity rate among women rising too?We definitely have lower rates of virginity among women than ever before, we used to teach both men and women that sex was a sacred thing, back when waiting till marriage was something that was upheld but now it is treated like a throw away item. It’s so easily accessible now especially with the rise of technology. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 06/03/23 08:11 PM
Is not dating to marry meaningless?I wonder Is the main contributor to divorce rates caused by couples marrying young or it because there has been a shift in the culture of relationships? There was a time where marrying young was a social norm and of course it isn’t that way anymore but the dating scene seems to be much worse today than it was. I think dating today is much more difficult, it’s much harder to form relationships | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/02/23 11:53 AM
Is not dating to marry meaningless?I’m a man, I grew up with more traditional values so I was always under the impression that marriage was a goal for every couple but I later realized that for many it is actually the complete opposite, many singles search for people who don’t want marriage and/or kids. I try to get in relationships where there is purpose and even at my young age (early 20s), I know exactly what I want but I know many people in my age range who have no idea what they want in a partner. The data has proved to me t… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/02/23 02:30 AM
Is not dating to marry meaningless? There is not issue with that but from experience, I’m seeing that people who are together but have no long term plans of their relationship (the ones who basically just live it day by day) tend to end quicker. Now it may be vice versa for others but I wonder if creating a long term goal like marriage causes people to put more effort than what they would usually put into a relationship. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/02/23 08:14 PM
