I've been with my bf for a year and have every reason to believe he's HV. We just finished isolating together after catching covid. He had it first and my symptoms were 4 days behind him. His first few days were horrible and I was taking care of him. He was down and out in bed for days, yet still managed to have flowers delivered with a very sweet card thanking me for everything. There are countless other actions I could write about and I have never felt confused on what his feelings are or have…

I'm not Asian but dated an Asian guy and the pressure of his family on female relatives to get married (to a nice Asian man) was a lot heavier than the pressure I've ever experienced from my family

In the special where she's pregnant she goes on and on about how he's so much hotter than her. Obviously it's a comedy show and it's a joke, but that stands out to me because it gave "I'm not worthy of this man vibes" 🤢Girl you are stunning, hilarious and successful.

We have a potential pick me in her 40s in my office. The signs have been there but I really noticed when her and I were talking about a new female manager coming in (currently completely male dominated management). She told me she wasn't sure how she felt about it because "I'm used to working with men, I'm used to being around men, I grew up with four brothers... I just prefer men"

My friend recently said to me about her boyfriend "he's been really nice to me recently." I laughed out loud thinking it was a joke but she was genuinely bragging on his behalf about being checks notes 'nice'

I just went off the combination pill after 10 years and my anxiety and depression virtually disappeared. I never connected the two since I had been on it for so long, and now I can't help but wonder how much happier I could have been for the last ten years if I didn't take BC, but it genuinely didn't feel like I had other options.

They hate that the HV men prove that men can have nice spaces and prefer to live in their lv delusion that all "real men" live like they do. Side note: what are your go to interior design subreddits?

It's never occurred to me to fake it, but guys can get so offended or pissed when you say "hey it's not happening for me today." The first person I ever slept with and was with for 2 years was unable to ever do it yet I still had sex with him whenever he wanted to. He would get all pouty afterwards. Somehow I ended up feeling guilty for his inability to make me cum? And was left to hype him up...Pick me flash backs are strange.

An old co-worker of mine had a friend who slept with a ton of NHL players. And oh god some of the stories. So many of them are cheaters if they're in relationships or treat girls as disposable if they're single.

My ex was cheating for 6 months and had another girlfriend. When I found out about the cheating I messaged her to let her know and she didn't respond so I figured she knew he had a gf all along and they deserved each other. Six months down the road she messaged me to ask for advice on her relationship with him and was wondering how he treated me. I again reiterated that he cheated on me with her and sent photos of us together with dates where our relationship overlapped (she actually didn't know…

When I was younger I was pretty insecure and so I typically went for less conventionally attractive men because I figured they were less likely to cheat. Although I admit I was very attracted to my LVM ex, I was doing charity work and he still cheated on me, a HVW. Now i figure may as well date hot guys since my "ugly guys don't cheat" theory was wrong 🤷🏼‍♀️

I watched all her update videos and she keeps saying how glad she is that she gave him another chance because he's WoNdErFuL. She also defended him going to the bathroom at that moment because "he really had to go" and was "mortified that she paid" - he couldn't have left his card and then went to the bathroom?

Broke up with my cheating LVM a year and a half ago but since then I have a new job that pays very well, my own apartment in a HCOL city that I love, am in the best physical shape of my life and I'm in a relationship with a HVM while although I'm still vetting, he is leagues above the loser I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with

I started a tab of all the money I spent on my LVM ex during the six months he was cheating on me (I keep meticulous records of my spending) as I obviously wouldn't have spent that money if I knew he was cheating. I got to over $1500 (his birthday, Christmas and several weddings we attended were in that time period) and stopped counting because I was so angry. I never sent him the bill but we did put a deposit down for a trip (while he was cheating) that got cancelled due to covid and so I kept …

The aggressive voice reminds me of my LV ex. We would be having a normal disagreement and I would be remaining calm, not attacking, and he would slip into this tone that made me feel 2 inches tall and everytime he did this I told him we were not continuing the conversation if he was going to talk to me like that. His "normal" voice was kind and sweet (a facade). Didn't realize how big of a red flag this was.

One of my best friends is married to a HVM. He is a mechanic, so it's mostly men that he works with, but there was one woman at the shop that he was friends with. I was visiting her once and her and her husband had some friends over for a fire, and it was the first time my friend was meeting this woman from his work (in case it matters.. she was a lesbian and brought her partner as well). When she met my friend she said "it's so great to meet you, your husband speaks so highly of you, and we wor…

That's what I assumed but I reached out and told her anyways once I found out. Initially she didn't respond so I was like ok she definitely knew and they deserve each other. Then months later she messaged me to ask what he was like during our relationship. I brought up again the cheating and this time sent photo proof. Still together 🤡

Seriously! My ex cheated on me for the last 6 months of our relationship. Full on relationship with the other girl. I had no clue because we lived an hour apart and had different work schedules (he randomly starting "picking up extra shifts" which explained him disappearing for hours at a time - I just thought he was being ambitious and we were saving for a house). And in the times he was cheating he did all the HVM stuff - random gifts/flowers, etc. What I don't understand is how she didn't cat…

From 18-20 I dated a LVM but he was hot and I was young and it took me a while to figure that one out. Anyways! His birthday was ten days before mine. The first birthday we were together, I made him cookies and bought him a hoodie I thought he would like. We'd only been dating a few months at this point. For my birthday (literally right after his) he said he didn't know what to buy me and just took me to a store to pick something out. I told him politely that I would prefer he just plan a nice d…

Also I feel like a lot of men can do terrible things by blaming them on somebody else. Rape: she was giving me signals all night and I was sure she wanted it Cheating: if she wouldn't have been crazy I wouldn't have had to cheat I think men are good at lying to themselves and genuinely being convinced that they are not in the wrong meanwhile they have ruined somebody's life. A man not being able to take responsibility for when he messes up, even over small things, is a GIANT red flag.

Lol I remember seeing a post in here earlier this year that encouraged women to respond with "thank you for noticing" when men on dating apps complimented them. Men reacted the same way - called them conceited. You can only be pretty if they say so but you also can't acknowledge it 🙄

Even if you think something is hilarious, the moment somebody tells you to stop... You stop. My (super LVM) ex and I were once at a party and when I was talking to our friend in the kitchen he grabbed a cupcake and shoved it in my face. First of all, I had spent a lot of time doing my makeup and I was feeling myself and he just smushed food in my face ruining it. Second of all, he knew I had an eating disorder and desserts were super triggering for me (I know it seems silly but I legit panicked n…

I guess it is something I need to "get used to" since I was not used to it in my last relationship which wasted the last four years of my life. My family is also similar where my dad always picks the bill up even know that I am in an established career.

I definitely am always very thankful of everything he does for me/spends on me and make sure to show my appreciation. And I definitely want him to be in my life and am certainly not using him so you're right, shouldn't feel guilty for his kindness and generosity.

I am going to therapy so I think this is something I should bring up for sure. It might be a "feel like I don't deserve it" thing deep down. I have absurd amounts of guilt in almost every area of my life so it's not exclusive to this and definitely something I need to work on

I dated a guy a few years ago who was smart and came from a wealthy family. He lived at home. The first time I went over there wasn't any soap in the dispenser in the bathroom and I pointed it out and he looked like a deer caught in headlights/embarrassed. The next time I went over to his house a few months later his family had moved and again there was no soap in the bathroom (of a literal $3 million home) and I pointed it out. He said "my family actually doesn't believe in soap it improves you…

I thought my ex was a HVM so when he occasionally exhibited some LVM traits I gave him a pass because "he was so wonderful in every other way." He ended up cheating on me with an entire second girlfriend for the last six months of our relationship and blaming his behaviour on me. Never again will I ignore even one red flag.

I don't think that's fair. I have a male best friend and he is definitely a HVM. There has never been any feelings between us and I am always sure to be respectful of his relationships and make his girlfriend feel included and show I'm not a threat. If his female friends are respectful of boundaries I don't see the problem.

My ex and I would always playfully call each other names whilst playing board games, but I drew the line at "bitch" even in this playful way. The reason for this was we once had a horrible fight (both drunk) where he told me I was a "fucking bitch" and then refused to apologize for it the next day because "that's how he felt at the time." One time towards the end of our relationship he slipped up and accidentally called me a bitch when we were playing a game and I told him he knows I don't like …
