What do you wish someone had told you about men when you were 14?Run away from gamer boys with labrador energy. They are addicted and you will end up feeling crazy for asking for more out of that relationship. Trust me, I made this mistake 3 times. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 01/11/21 06:02 AM
Needing supportWe accept the love we think we deserve at the time. For me personally, it's harder to set boundaries or ask for what I want when I feel low, insecure or depressed. Right now you're focusing on comparing yourself to others and that's just not good for your wellbeing... you need to shake off such thoughts as it sounds like you think it's luck that you're lacking when quite possibly it is not. I think you need to work on yourself and raise your vibrations and energy to attract a partner you want in… | /r/askFDS | 01/11/21 05:56 AM
Why am I fighting for a relationship I don’t even want? It's very hard to breakup no matter what the relationship is like. No one says it should be easy, you spent a lot of time together and even though it is toxic and deceptive, you will still have to mourn the relationship. That's why it's hard to let go. You got used to him. Life without him feels unknown and foreign. You should put some distance between you two as it sounds like you are codependant, spending too much time together. Give yourself some space, some time to think and you will realise… | /r/askFDS | 24/01/21 05:57 PM
Was it right decision to dump my now ex boyfriend? You did the right thing! That guy is trash and his behaviour showed that. You deserve so much better. The right man will treat you like a queen! | /r/askFDS | 17/01/21 08:27 AM
How to break up with someone when you still love themThis sounds very familiar. 4 days ago I have moved out and left a man I thought "was it" for me. This is after nearly 3 years together. I just couldn't handle how LV he was anymore. I realise I have stayed longer than I should have for my own mental health, but I felt commited to the idea of him being the one too much to leave, so I wasted more time and was even planning our wedding. The thing is no matter how much you want it to workout, it takes two compatible people to make it work , not to m… | /r/askFDS | 13/01/21 03:38 PM
PSA: just because he pays for dates, doesn't make him a HVMTotally agree! Paying on dates is a bare minimum of what we should expect, but there is so much more stuff that can come out while getting to know a man. Any loser can whip out his wallet and assume he is now a gentleman. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 11/01/21 06:08 PM
I can't move forward.I am sorry you are finding it hardnto heal... he sounds horrible. It can be very easy to fall into a liars trap and very hard to leave. You need to remember there is nothing that you did wrong to deserve this. He is a sick man, very sick, and if I were you I would be happy and grateful for getting away. Time always heals wounds, but I think the covid situation may make it harder to live your life to the fullest right now. Try to focus on yourself, because that is what matters. The more you remai… | /r/askFDS | 11/01/21 06:01 PM
Boyfriend (m25) says FDS is making me crazy? He is deliberately twisting your words to get the upper ground. He is toxic. Leave him! | /r/askFDS | 10/01/21 01:51 PM
Boyfriend (m25) says FDS is making me crazy? He sounds a lot like my ex whom I just broke up with after 3 years. Covid or not he will never help you with housework. He will never stop gaming. He will always half-ass his way through this relationship and then make you question your reality when you communicate your unmet needs. We shouldn't put up with the same stuff our mothers did because it is not healthy. Men are not the only bread winners in the house anymore, so the housework has to be split equally. Men just don't do it because so ma… | /r/askFDS | 10/01/21 09:27 AM
How can I tell my ex I’m blocking him?He doesn't need a heads up. Just block him. | /r/askFDS | 10/01/21 09:14 AM
I think my boyfriend of 6 years is an LVM please help me. Everyone on relationship_advice said he’s in the right, and I’m in the wrongYou deserve better. Period | /r/askFDS | 10/01/21 09:12 AM
Feeling lost about what I should do about this situation...I want to look at the other side of the coin for a bit. It is possible he might feel like he doesn't have much to say amymore. You talked quite a bit and got to know each other. When I think about me and my own preferences, at some point I would feel like it's harder to hold a conversation and would need outside stimuli (like in a restaurant) to keep the conversation going (for example, discussing the food). As I understand you only talk virtually. I see it as natural to lose sleep when getting … | /r/askFDS | 10/01/21 09:09 AM
Need advice for forgiving myself for staying with a LVMI will definitely try to take this as a learning experience. I actually thought at the time that I really valued myself, since I had the strength to bring up my needs. Apparently it was not enough to actually do what had to be done when my needs were not met. But I finally had that breakthrough. I will be hoping that with some self-reflection I can come out stronger from this. Thank you for your reply | /r/askFDS | 10/01/21 03:35 AM
How not to give a f about male validationThis also happened to me before when I had too much free time and didn't focus on myself as much. Find a healthy new hobby you can pickup to practice self love. Consciously steer your time to something more productive and it will start getting easier. This is what helped me. Good luck! | /r/askFDS | 09/01/21 10:27 PM
Do not let men smother your voice or your opinions, stay strong FDS sisters 💕This is close to home. I am an emotional woman and talk (and argue) with strong passion. I am tired of my "tone" making all my points invalid in men's eyes. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 01/07/20 09:23 AM
