I've been doing this, too. Lol All of the filtered women looking for Mr. tall dark and handsome with a million dollars, two dogs, big house, sports cars on the beach. They workout every minute, hike, travel all over the world, party, successfully careers. 🤣 F@#king kills me.! Where are the real women at. Hard working, want to grab a coffee, look good with out make up. Got kids? Great me too. Let's drop the kids off and date. Totally feel your pain bro.😅

Jusy literally texted my brother. I almost asked a lady at the gym out for coffee. She was maybe a 5 to 6 to boost confidence. Then wimped out. Wish I had the dinner problem right now.😅 Damn regrets!

Get into something. Church, gym, bar, club, sports, board game clubs, anything really. I don't care If you're into HAM radios. Just join something. Stop sitting at home. Trust me, the self-pitty doesn't do a damn thing but makes things worse. Honestly, I found this out at work when I overshared about my divorce. Coworkers pretty much said they didn't give a f@ck. I realized then that it's going to be a lonely path until I make new friends. I started going to the gym, which increased my T and pos…

Same! To become a physical and mental freakin beast. Become the person I always wanted to be.

This is what I was looking for. Just wanted to be sure I wasn't just making excuses. Brain is trained to feel some sort of comfort when I see her.

I agree. In some ways, time moves too slowly.

We do share children, and she has been an important part of my life for 25+ years. We dated 5 before marriage. I'm over her, but it's 2nd hand nature when I see her that I want to have good feelings for her, even if she is evil. The actual problem is that because we have kids, I'm forced to see her. Other than that, I really couldn't care.

I like to think this is what is. At least, that's what I keep telling myself. Fake it til you make it. Especially when you're unsure.

For me, it's the gym. Never could get her to go with me. She wouldn't even go walking or running. Love just getting out of the house now without her negativity attached to me like a ball and chain.

Just went through mediation on Wednesday. My attorney and I held her state retirement hostage in order to get roughly 80% of what I wanted. She's pissed. It was scheduled for 3 hours, but she went on a pitty session with the mediator and ran the bill up another 3 hours. I didn't get everything I wanted, but I'm so glad I fought now. I went in with the attitude you have now, but my attorney kicked me in the balls and said we're gonna fight hard. So, we did. One more step to remove her out of my l…

Married - Young and stupid. Dated 5 years and should have walked away but did what was expected of me. You know, build a family/settle down. Stayed - Growing up with shitty men for fathers and no real father figure made me stay as long as I did to ensure my little dudes never had a dead beat. My sons will never no the personal hell I endured day in and day out, for 20 years, so they could live normal childhoods. This divorce is the best and worst thing that's ever happened to me. Financial, emot…

This!!! This was a new concept to me a few months ago. Boy, this was a game changer for me. I show up to get the kids with a hoody and shades on every time. Don't look her way. Park my vehicle where she can't see me. I grey rock the hell out of visitation days. Turn that music up and F@ck her.

20 years 2 kids. It was a slow, painful process. We both wanted out but hung around for the kids. I agree with the structure change. Much different woman than I married. When she changed, her negativity started sucking my soul away day by day. I'm sure our details are similar. Can't wait to see the 3 year mark.

Don't. If the divorce is active, avoid talking about it right now. I'm sitting with my 2 sons right now, and there's nothing I want more than to tell them my side of the story. I realized I don't need that vindication, and they honestly need an escape from all of the negativity they're hearing. They don't say it, but I can read it in their eyes. "Dads a monster, etc." They need us to be that calm rock in their life. Fill the time with fun activities that only a dad can do. Be the father you alwa…

Nearing the end of mine. Out of love a long time ago. Started losing weight immediately. Started gym in Oct. Putting on muscle like crazy. I am getting my ass in the sun as much as possible. No, seriously!! Get outside. Fish, hunt, sports, walk, hike, garden, etc. Fill your time with constructive activities that produce good endorphins and the feeling of accomplishment. Get masculine again. Poke that chest out. Hold that head high even when the tears flow. Get religious. Find answers to question…

This is the man trap. They know we won't just drop them. The good guys are providers, protectors, and lovers. We're not the type of guys to walk away. We're honestly looking for a partner for life. Meanwhile, she's quantifying the risk reward of her putting up with her perceived bullshit. Pearl Jam wrote this song a long time ago. "Better Man."

Same. I had my share of the responsibility. Her neuroticism was what drove me deeper into despair. Tried sticking it out for the kids. Wish I'd have walked away sooner.

Slightly ahead of you in some ways and behind in others. Ahead, that I'm past the grieving stage. Only the memories haunt me now. Good and bad. I can be doing something so simple, and I'll have a flashback. Breath leaves my body for a split second while I face reality. Then I remember how much better I am. It's like a spike of pain that hits hard and then subsides with time. Wish I was where you're at with dating. Lost 94lbs since April and still not where I wanna be. I've taken the advice I've …

For me, it's the loneliness. There are times when I'm so busy I don't notice. Then there are days when I miss the family dynamics. I don't let anyone see me cry. Not out of a sign of weakness, but because they don't understand. I know they will ask the frustrating questions and give advice that they have no first-hand experience with. I picked up a second job for this very reason. Between jobs, the gym, and outdoor activities, I've been able to reduce the amount of attention I give these emotion…

Hitting the outdoors more. Hiking, fishing, and sports. Hitting the gym. Gaining tons of muscle doing this recomp. Revenge bod. Working on my spirituality and character defects. Try to learn Spanish some. Figured out Taco and Burrito pretty good. Lol.

Yup, the worst is when there's nothing to keep you busy. You're like, "Where's the family?" Then that bitch lonliness slaps you back to reality.

I'm going through a divorce now because I attempted it. I had been looking for a way out for years. Last April, I got drunk and attempted suicide. Worst decision I've ever made, and yet God spared me. Ultimately, it has led to the divorce and loss of my children. These last 10 months have been the most brutal and blessed months of my entire life. On one hand, I'm free of her. On the other is the loss of my children and the custody battle that is ongoing. After 25 years, I'm relearning everything…
