If lots of people leave the workforce, the value of labour will skyrocket. The people left will be paid far more. Wages will finally go up and single-income families will be the norm again. There are many solutions. For one, technology can help make more efficient use of resources. For example, vertical farming and nuclear/renewable energy can increase food output and wean us off fossil fuels. A lot of progress has already been made in these areas.
