A Thai girlfriend of mine once explained that white skin is a symbol of wealth in Asian countries. Tan skinned/ darker skinned people are more likely to be working outside so they are less valuable/ less likely to be successful. Lighter skinned people were more likely to be working indoors/ in a more highly paid position. So from her explanation it seems that the white worship thing so common in Asian society is due to white skin being an indicator of wealth or status

In the US forces during WW2, about 16 women died. None of them were on the front lines as soldiers. Compare that to the 400,000+ male US soldiers that died in battle. It's a fucking disgusting misrepresentation.

In the US Army infantry the first few weeks are pretty rough. They physically exhaust you and then fuck with you mentally. The point is to weed out the weak. After about week 9 things get better, but the instructors still fuck you up if they feel like it. In my training they did build up the physical challenge. We'd do a 6 mile ruck march at a slow pace in the beginning, then maybe a 6 mile ruck at nearly a run a week later, then we'd add more weight and distance the next, etc.
