Yes you’re right. The fact that he won’t even take accountability at all and is just putting the blame on me. I also found out that he cheated on his ex to be with me (i didn’t know, i just caught him again before) so once a cheater always a cheater

Agree, I find myself going crazy and in circles and I realized with time apart from them that I just wasn’t okay with their behaviours or actions. I just tried my best to rationalize and understand them.. I don’t deserve that or shouldn’t put up with it when dating/vetting

I have a lot of healing to do.. This relationship is the biggest lesson for me. I feel ashamed to even tell people about what happened :’) Im not losing hope that I can find someone good in the future. Im still young and have time to work on myself

I agree, the relationship your cousin has is something that I want for myself too in the future But thats gonna be coming from a man, not a boy like who I dealt with

Yes you’re right. I guess I just shared the details because I feel like i’m at fault here. Like a ripple effect, if I didn’t leave for vacation then this wouldn’t happen. But then he showed his true colors before even committing to each other on a serious note

Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes I keep telling myself that it’s good that i’m learning now. I can be better in the future when it comes to vetting and relationships. I’m scared after everything that happened so time for myself will be for a while.

Yes.. I chose to see the good in him but clearly he’s not gonna benefit me at all. I thought that everyone deserves a second chance and that he should learn from his mistakes (my mindset before)

I didn’t know about it until like a year in our relationship 🥲 but you’re right, and the fact that he’s 35k in debt over it

Thank you, you’re right. I tell myself that I don’t miss him, I miss the potential of him and us. I appreciate your words and will save this comment for a reminder to myself

Yes because i’m just so hurt but i’m working on handling my emotions better. Thank you for your suggestion but I think a year into a relationship is too early to even try a coach? I don’t know i’m stuck in between.

Yes you’re right 🥲 I guess that’s why i’m in so much pain right now because i’m holding on to something that’s not going to benefit me in a positive way (i’m always crying more than being happy when a relationship should add positive value in someone’s life)

Thank you for this post, i’ve been a long time lurker and have saved a couple posts to help me and my relationship. I’m too embarrassed to ask for advice but this answered everything I had in mind!

Waiting to see what people say because I want some tips as well

Agree. 5 months is enough, more than enough time for a guy to decide whether he wants to commit

Agree! I'm 20 as well and just found out about this sub. I'm glad I found people that have the same view as me. I've learned alot from the Women here and still am learning.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
