Ya I was pretty clouded in judgment and deep in the manipulation...but come on going overseas and adopting kids was NEVER going to happen. lmfao. My therapist has helped me establish boundaries and how to set them up for any future relationships, but right now I'm monk mode as I'm super apprehensive about romantically interacting with women.

I'm finishing my graduate degree soon and have a job lined up. As soon as I can get out of school and get some money and independence (I moved back with parents, ugh), I'll be ok, I think. For now, life really sucks and I've questioned my own sanity through this whole process. BPDs can really cause damage.

but its not necessarily BPD: I talked about all this with my therapist after being in a relationship with a BPD. Therapist had been a researcher in the field before she became an independent psychiatrist, knew a ton about BPDs. She suggested that there was a good chance of being BPD or codependent from having a BPD parent.

Yeah, mine tried convincing the police that I had been abusive. Thank god I got out of it relatively unscathed.

Are you alright? I have spent some time in therapy dealing with the fallout. She knew the diagnosis but hid it from me until right before she tried to burn my life down and mentioned it. I thought she just had mild depression at times. You ever want to talk bro, just PM me.

I sometimes have a 1000 yard stare when I'm thinking critically for my career. In my experience it's when you're trying to have a conversation with a BPD and they suddenly zone out and start looking through you and stop communicating in any sensible way. It was so fucking unnerving.

I've spent the last 8 months in therapy after a BPD got to me. Thank you so much. I can't imagine how many men this could save from suicide.
