Thank you for sharing this!! May we all be the women our grandmother's wished they could be. Mine has a similar story. 💕

YES! I am doing just that! All of the women in my family have been hurt by men and most are divorced. Ive been leveling up and only allowing the absolute best to break these ancestor wounds/patterns. Good reminder!

Straight up. My grandmother told me last year that she met my sexual predator Grandfather when she was 13, and he was 20, AT A SCHOOL DANCE HE WENT TO THAT WAS ONLY FOR HIGH SCHOOL KIDS. She said she always wondered why he was there but was too naive to realize. He married her as soon as she turned 18 and he absolutely destroyed her. She is mentally unstable, has 8 dogs and has pushed away anyone who ever tried to help her. I now know it is because of him. My Grandfather has hurt every single pe…

Oooof and then these men complain how FDS just teaches women to be gold diggers and "use men". LIKE YOU GUYS ARE LITERALLY PLOTTING TO CUT OUR CONFIDENCE DOWN AND DATE UNTIL YOU FIND A "BETTER FIT" !!!! I dont know why I am surprised anymore.

This resonates with me so much. Ill be 29 in two months and have only had one real adult relationship in my life. That lasted from ages 20-24 and I've pretty much been single besides 4/5 months over these past 5 years. I truly believe I've been meant to spend my 20s alone to learn this very thing. I used to be so insecure, validation-seeking and codependent. Im proud of how far along I've come, the time spent alone and for the relationships that never worked out.

One thing I always tell myself is that one woman's beauty is not the absence of my own. You also never know which women are jealous of you and think you've got it all together. Sometimes if i get envious of another woman I compliment her on her outfit or her aesthetic. And then ask her where she got so I can do it too haha. Good for you for changing your mindset!

Everyone's gotta start somewhere! If you rejected him and acted in a manner you wouldn't have in the past before finding FDS, then I call it a small victory. Youre not going to become an FDS queen right away, because of the ingrained Pickmeisha in you, and it will take practice. I found FDS, then did a few not so FDS worthy things until I really figured it out. Some of us have to learn it by experiences. Just keep reading the handbook, reading the stories on here and establish your boundaries. G…

I honestly didn't even intend on breaking up with him. He took me on a date to a super fancy restaurant, we had a pretty serious conversation about him saying he loved me and what I needed moving forward, which went well. When we went back to his house later in the night, he brought it up again and asked if we should just end it and I said yes I think we should. Then he threw the tantrum. I 100% agree on not getting into a man's car alone and not having a safe escape. Its not smart and a gal sho…

Yeah a few - he got out of a 2.5 year relationship two months ago, drinks a bit more than he should, doesnt really work on his physical health like I do, and told me he was in love with me. We've been friends for years but have been seeing each other for only 3 weeks now. Everything else about him is HV, but im still feeling a bit freaked out and like he is love bombing me. Not sure if i should end it or pull back a bit.

One thing that helped me to stop comparing myself to other women was to unfollow all of the models/fitness influencers. You dont need to know what some Australian super model is up to. Unfollow every woman you compare yourself too. Most of that is photoshop anyway. We all have cellulite, dimples and sun spots. These women photoshop them and then post it. You're actively working on yourself and you've gotta remember that takes time and consistency. It won't happen overnight! Another recommendatio…

Never, ever live with a boyfriend. You are giving him all of the benefits of a wife without the commitment on his end. Don't wash his clothes, don't do his dishes, don't clean anything in his house. You should spend enough time at his home to know what his hygienic and cleaning habits are like. Also, what if in a year you break up? Then you have a safe space and never gave up that part of yourself. Read the handbook!!

Ooof they are few and far between for me. A lot of my friends see me "on a feminist kick" when really I'm just raising standards, putting boundaries in place and dealing with my male related trauma. I come to FDS for the discussion and water it down for my friends.

You've only been with him for a month and he's already cheated on you? First off, you don't know a person after a month and you shouldn't consider him a boyfriend after a month. Second, he is 7 years older and that means he has 7 years of life experiences you dont have. Hes counting on you to tell him its okay and to be understanding because you don't know any better. Third, if he cheats within the first month he's going to cheat throughout your entire relationship. Do you really want to be with…

I don't at all. I guess I'm just curious as to how other women have platonic male relationships, when ive never experienced that.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/07/20 06:31 PM

How do you get male friends who don't want anything more from you? Every male friend Ive had is either gay, or an ex boyfriend, or we have hooked up in the past. No men just want to be my friend.

There isn't much benefit to being friends with men. Hes using you for emotional labor, but isn't supporting you emotionally, and he doesn't want to be romantic with you. I say cut him off and move on. Also read the handbook, it talks about how being friends with men doesn't do women any favors, and they usually have a hidden agenda anyway.

YES. I have 0 examples of a good, healthy relationship. I grew up with a single mom and watched loser after loser parade through her life. I don't have a good or real relationship with my father. Because of her serial dating and my lack of a father figure, I have been looking for validation through men and sex since age 13 (I am 28 now). It sounds like you have absolutely lost yourself, and after reading your post history, he sounds like an abusive narcissist. Moving in with someone basically after knowing them for a week is a huge red flag. You moved in with a total stranger and then became dependent on him. You don't know a person after only a week. He has trapped you, made you dependent on him and lowered your self esteem. He's got you right where he wants you. He makes you work 12 hours a day with no regard to the actual wor…

Hi gals! Wondering if any of you have come across Dr. Karin Anderson Abrell? Shes a psychologist and a huge advocate for healthy relationships and dating. Girl it sounds like you don't have much joy with him. Why stay when you aren't eating, aren't sleeping, feeling on edge and cry at the drop of a hat? Have you thought the reason you don't feel joy is BECAUSE of the way he treats you? Breaking up is difficult no matter how you write it, but I guarantee its better than what he's doing to you. I hope you get the courage to leave him and respect yourself.

I've had one of my nipples pierced for 12 years now and I really love it. It is cute and it makes me feel sexy. If you enjoy it and think it's cute, then keep it! I don't see that as a kinkmeisha thing either. As long as you are keeping it for you and not for validation from a man.

Yes! So many women act like its normal for there to be disappointment and pain in a relationship This is pressure from society telling us we need a man to be happy, plus the pressure of friends and family. I had a close friend recently tell me that I'll never find a man who doesnt watch porn. I shot back with i absolutely will because thats my standard and I won't settle (thanks FDS). Like sorry you realized your boyfriend watches too much porn and you're self projecting and angry at me for speaking the truth. I agree with the feelings that I hate that women don't think its a big enough reason to leave. Hes essentially cheating and it leads to so many different issues down the road
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/07/20 05:55 PM
15

I am also one of the ones who wants a husband and kids, but reading those subs just reminds me how never settling and waiting for exactly what you want is worth it. A loveless, sexless relationship is such a big fear of mine and then bringing in children?!?! Ugh thats just added trauma to them too
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/07/20 05:50 PM

I just hate that women feel the need to compromise when it comes to sex. Most claim hes "perfect in every other way" which gives them validation that no sex is fine. But if hes not being affectionate and intimate with you, then yep there is a bigger problem and they cannot expect it to just go away.

Proud of you for leaving your husband when you know you deserve better! I can't imagine being pregnant and having no support from the one person who is supposed to be "your rock". Do not approach him and ask him out, or tell him you think he's attractive. I guarantee he has women throwing themselves at him all the time, even at work. There is nothing less attractive than a woman throwing herself at a man. He sees you, he knows you exist and if he is interested then he will approach you. If he doesn't approach you and ask you out then let it go. Having a crush has zero benefit! I recommend going to this restaurant less. If you go one to two times a week, take a week or two…

Why would you disrespect yourself more by staying with him? He obviously doesn't care about your feelings. He disregarded your birthday, didn't ask how it was and didnt get you anything? He doesn't truly care about you or he would've made an effort. Also him telling you that he only thinks your kind of pretty with your nose ring is called negging. Men do that to lower your self esteem so that you think no one else will want you. It is a manipulation tactic and he did it on purpose. Leave him and…

This is the stuff that people who watch porn don't think about. Just because women consent to being there does not mean they consent to everything else that happens. On Thursday of last week I had a very eye opening and intense conversation with a few of my girlfriends about my views on porn and how it oppresses women. Since finding FDS I now know how harmful it is and ill never watch it or support it again. I told them my views and my friends had an absolute meltdown. Defensive, crying, a 3 hou…
