That's what I mean. The framing of these issues, from my perspective, is just as solipsistic and potentially sexist as the behaviour they wish to end. Not to mention internalized mysoginy is a great, convenient way to cancel an argument or opposing view. If a woman expresses agency in a way that doesn't work with feminism, well it's no harm no foul. She is exhibiting internalized mysoginy and is clearly not actually thinking for herself. Parity isn't always good. I wouldn't ask women to die just as much as men do in workplace accidents. I wouldn't ask women to be just as likely to die to strangers as men are in the streets. The retirement age was "fixed" in the wrong way here. The fact that the affected protested when being brought in line with men (and not before... you know, when there was disparoty) speaks to how little people at large care about men's plights. But bringing women's retirement age up is not the move.

I agree wholeheartedly but I for one think feminism actively discourages any sort of male advocacy, either passively or not. People are completely justified in being angry with feminism. From my personal experience, I fell for the "do you believe in equal rights? Then you are a feminist" marketing pitch and then became embittered when I saw exactly how (hateful) feminists set a pecking order of oppression and actively doscourage any sort of male advocacy, twist statistics to paint a false pictur…
