I don't think you understand what my argument is, and your argument is incoherent. If two things are not identical, then one can be superior, once you define the domain of that superiority. We do not disagree. Again, here is my original statement: I'm just saying you can't use "there are more male geniuses" as some kind of proof that men, in general, are superior. I.e. once you remove the domain restriction, judging "superiority" isn't even a clearly defined notion. What the hell are you arguing…

It isn't hard to understand. I understand completely. It's just incoherent. You are trying to argue superiority between apple and oranges. Just because you choose to value one thing over another doesn't mean is a universal truth. It's like you are telling me the hands are superior to digestive tract. This is absolutely false. Men and women have the same mean intelligence as measured by g. No, the tests are constructed that way, to mask the difference. G is what intelligence tests measure. You ar…

Dear god please don't bludgeon me with bigabsent.and famous names as if I don't have a math degree from a top university- wait, I do. If you had a physics degree, you'd understand how important and groundbreaking her work was for being able to be able to work effectively with GR and QM. You asked me to name a woman that was smarter than man, and I provided one woman smarter than all men, and one women just as intelligent as her contemporaries in her field. I mean, do you think Hilbert and Klein …

First, as far as intelligence goes, men have greater mean as well as greater variance (and hence more geniuses). This is absolutely false. Men and women have the same mean intelligence as measured by g. Second, civilization is advanced by more than genius, but by other qualities too, such as exploration. Women have an equally important task, but not at all the same one. What are you trying to communicate here? That men and women are both necessary and have different tasks setup by both culture a…

I highly recommend Good Eats and Cooking for engineers. You can pretty much find all of Good Eats on torrents. Part of learning is having a good teacher. Most people (not just women) are terrible teachers, because they are unaware of their base knowledge set, and don't start from first principles. These two sources do start out assuming you know nothing. I wish that site had more recipes: it's pretty much the ideal of detailing every step with pictures, and even a timeline chart (i.e. be slicing…

That includes directly dealing with the guy, or finding out some other way of just making him no longer a problem. That only works when you have parity in your negotiating power and leverage. He is a supervisor, and she isn't. There's a reason there is a process for reporting that kind of thing: the imbalance in power in a purposefully hierarchical system necessitates it.

Marilyn vos Savant is considered to have the highest measured IQ of any living human being. Look up Emmy Noether. She basically set the stage for using both quantum mechanics and relativity with her work connecting symmetries in abstract spaces with physical conservation laws, and pretty much gave others the fundamental ideas for algebraic topology.

I think in that sense, culture mirrors biology. We reward men for being risky, adventurous, etc. Women not so much. Society lets men fail much harder, but by comparison they also reach higher levels of success too, while women are gently pushed "to the middle" in accordance with the general rule of averting the bottlenecks of population growth away from risk. Nature knows that it's better if there is a sexual dimorphism even in genetic expression and variability: let the disposable males be the …

Not disagreeing with that part. I'm just saying you can't use "there are more male geniuses" as some kind of proof that men, in general, are superior. Don't commit the same apex fallacy as feminists do, looking only at the sub-population that conveniently motivates and supports your views.

Men disqualify anything a woman does or say if they find her ugly. Funnily enough, in a professional environment, I find women's actual value to be roughly inversely proportional to their sexual appeal: young, hot women are fucking useless. Older and uglier women? Get shit done.

Conversely, the vast majority of geniuses, scientists, artists, composers, and other people who have achieved greatness in life have been men. It's not sexist, it's a fact. Let's include the other half of that fact: there are more men geniuses, and there are also more males of inferior intelligence... you know, morons.

There are also other considerations involved, like time scale. There may be many strategies that are highly successful in the short term, but awful long-term as people adapt to your actions. So, depending on how long you intend to "stay in the game", the "rational" strategy (which I take for the sake of argument to be equivalent to the optimal one) can vary. As an example, playing a very aggressive poker game is usually a good strategy just sitting down with new players. If you plan to leave soo…

Thank you for the feedback! What you describe is where I am in my mental lifting. I want to lift people to that level too (pun completely intended). If they are at that level, though, they don't need a schedule or a list of free course material links. I wanted to provide a specific, time-constrained routine to help you get back into the mental swing of things.

I will say that if you are going to learn a language, it must be multi-modal learning. You need to read, write, listen, and speak. Don't just do language CDs in your car during your commute (although that is an excellent way to utilize that otherwise pointless time). Newspapers and newscasts are an excellent way to learn the language: you know that it's proper grammar and diction, and, just like in the US, it's written to an 8th grade level, so it's accessible.

I agree. That's why short essays are in three of the sections (the calculus course has exercises). Essays force you to take your jumbled mess of a stream of consciousness and convert it to clear, concise, crystallized writing. I would have, but it's much harder to have a concrete short-term goal with languages, and without other speakers to practice with, it's rather hard to learn effectively. My goal was something with easily attainable milestones that you can do all on your own.

I can see where you are coming from, but I think the analogy is a little off, based on how I meditate. Meditation is like tai chi, yoga, isometrics, that are more directed toward bodily awareness, balance, and your body as a whole, and how different parts of your body move and act together. You won't gain much strength like this, but you will gain control, awareness, and "being present in your body" for lack of a better phrase. Lifting is object-oriented in the sense that is focused on something…

Personally, I am never not reading something. Reading is fundamental. However, just as important as reading is to read actively. Don't just read the story. Compare the plot, the language, and the structure of what you are reading with other things you've read. It's like lifting with the right form. Sure, you'll get some benefit with poor form, but in the long run, your progress will be limited and you may even make it harder to learn how to get the most out of your exercise. ugh. OK so the MGTOW community is all about fostering the progeny of their siblings and cousins now? Right. They should, especially if they are male. Your argument is simply fallacious, and arm-chair science making unwarranted conclusions. Your long term value as an organism is determined by the number of progeny you create that in turn successfully procreate. Incorrect. Your long term value as an organism is determined by the number of copies of your genes that are created, not how many children you have. Read "The Selfish Gene", and learn to think at the gene level, not the organism level. You are simply a vehicle for your genes. You share 50% of your genes with your siblings (same as your children), and 25% with your nieces and…

Who is saying that we're "meant to" reproduce? Biologists, or your genes, depending on how metaphorical you want the answer to be. Meaning/design/purpose come from form and use. You are the creation of your genes. The only reason for your genes to create your mind and body is to increase their chances of making more of themselves. Who is creating the meaning in the phrase "meant to"? Your mind, through observation and rational deconstruction of nature. Your genes are specifically designed throug…

When women call someone a nice guy (and not the sarcastic Nice Guy(tm)... I mean truly nice), they mean "he's unattractive, but he's nice". They are softening criticism. Implicit in this is the ordering: the important part is "he's unattractive". When women call someone an asshole, they mean "OMG he's so sexy, but he is an asshole". They are humble-bragging or sour-graping. Again, the important part is "OMG he's so sexy". This is nothing new, and has nothing to do with being female. We don't cri…

This is the exact same argument used to justify the #YesAllMen bullshit. I honestly don't understand why women would just stop doing sexual things with their partner. Because women can and do use sex (or the promise of sex, or the hope of sex etc.) as leverage, just like men use commitment (or the promise of commitment, or the hope of commitment, etc.) and resource availability as leverage. Young guys are particularly prone to saying "what's the point if not to get girls?" I've noticed this too. I think it's because of increasingly feminized mindset. I found it much easier to get good form on my squats once I was squatting over >100 pounds, and my glutes started feeling it once I could keep my back straighter. Before, it felt like if I didn't lean forward somewhat, I'd simply fall backwards on my ass.

Swimming. It works every single muscle in your body, is low-impact (so your knees don't give out), and it's summer so it will at least keep you somewhat cool. Difficulty: Access to a decent sized pool where you can swim continuously for several dozen yards.

Dips, chin ups, and pull ups are all based on body weight. Try variations on push ups... there are tons of modifications that can make it easier or harder and work different parts of the shoulders and arms. Push ups too easy? Get yourself upside down against a wall and push all your body weight up without the benefit of the leverage the normal push up provides. Why do you think women say things like "I'm not going to have sex with you"? It's so that when you do have sex she can say it was YOU who made her do it. I call it Shrodinger's Consent: she deliberately keeps it ambiguous so that when she observes herself after the fact, she can rationalize consent (or lack thereof) based on the psychological needs of the moment.

Slightly modified to be more in line with the lingo here: if you are going after lower-class women, then they are plates or single-serving women only, and definitely not LTR. True, but fat is more acceptable on women, in general, than men. A woman of X% body fat is going to be more attractive than a man of X% body fat at the normal ranges. However, at the lowest body fat ranges, it switches: extremely muscular and low-fat men are seen by more people as sexy than the equivalent woman, not to mention that extremely low fat% women have reproductive issues.

People weren't raised to have discipline. It's one of the wide gulfs I see between me and a lot of my peers. It's just that simple. If you are raised to have discipline about something ingrained in you, it's just natural and very little mental effort is required. The more discipline you have about other things, the easier it becomes to apply to others. Paradoxically, discipline makes things easier and less grueling, not more. Edit: grammar, clarity

You can't negotiate attraction, and you can't negotiate disgust. You don't "make" a girl like that, you simply find the girl that already likes it, or a girl who is adventurous and will find out she does. It will probably be much less effort to get another girl that does like that kind of thing.

I had long hair in college. On at least a half dozen occasions, from women, I heard "What kind of man wears his hair like that?" At least two were at work. Biology is about passing on your genes. What you do with your time on this earth is completely fucking irrelevant. You could be gay, straight, wavy or perpendicular, it doesn't matter. What does matter is that the grand biological scheme, the genes of homosexuals aren't going anywhere. This is completely wrong from a genetics and evolutionary perspective. If a gay man can give a reproductive advantage to his kin, especially his siblings' offspring, the "gay gene" (or gene complex) will not die o…

"Liking you for who you truly are." Stop right there. No one likes you for "who you truly are", in the sense of a beautiful consciousness trapped in a human body with it's scars only making it more beautiful by revealing it's uniqueness and history. Divorce rape is worse when you have kids, and the women is trying to acquire the best resources for her genetic offspring. Divorce rape is worse when there is a serious income inbalance as well: the greater the imbalance, the less capable she is of acquiring said resources on her own and therefore the greater her need to acquire them otherwise. Divorce between childless couples who earn the same amount of money is far less likely to be rapey. Is it cruel? Yes, but that's largely irrelevant.

But the most powerful emotion of all? Validation. Women hump feelings of validation harder and longer than any other emotion. To extend that thought, yes, validation is what they want. But it's even more specific than that: they want pity. I think a huge difference between men and women emotionally is a man is insulted by pity. A woman is not. anti-male How do you get from "evolutionarily suboptimal" to "anti-male"? Egalitarianism isn't anti-male, or anti-female, by definition. It's simply maladaptive when applied without thought. Let's take the first as example: Anger vs. Righteous indignation. There's only anger on a basic level. The anger you are talking about is righteous indignation. If something pisses you off because reasons, that's righteous indignation (whether you are right or not... this has nothing to do with morality). Righteous indignation doesn't need justification from anyone else but you. The anger I talk about is the kind of anger where people punch walls out of sheer, seething wrath. All it takes is a l…

I wouldn't discount all emotion as negative. To my way of thinking, almost all emotions come in pairs. One half of the pair is the directionless, destructive, and useless side. The other half is the directed, empowering, and useful side. Consider: Anger vs. righteous indignation Envy vs. drive to self-improvement Pride vs. self-confidence Entitlement vs. self-respect Judgementalism vs. high personal standards for your friends Contempt vs. disregard for that beneath you Despair vs. stoic acceptan…

It's not cynicism, that's just the word your using to hide your insecurities behind. No, it's cynicism. I don't think you understood the post. Insecurity would be "I can't get this girl because I'm {fat/ugly/awkward}." Cynicism is knowing I could get a girl if I wanted to, and then wondering "why bother"? I've certainly succeeded in the past. "True, her value is determined by you and you have judged her to be of little value." If she is of so little value, why do you want her? It's like collecti…

No, you just introduce private competition in those fields instead of having a single monopoly (the state). Competition is more efficient than the state is at providing higher quality goods/services for a lower price. And it's totally voluntarily funded. Aww... anarchists are so cute and naive. I completely understand this: you are "psyching" yourself up, plain and simple. Here's the problem I have with execution, and this is a global problem, nothing to do with women in particular: how do you actually delude yourself? Don't pretend that's not what this is: you are practicing pragmatic, scope-limited self-delusion, just like every sports team does, and like every cheerleading team tries to engender. It isn't. Your post is a transparent attempt to counter-shame men. Here's the problem: there is no attempt to shame her behavior in the OP. Any shame you are reading into it is coming from you. Yes, for women who aren't specifically strength training. Most women can't do a single pull up. Those that can are usually the wiry small ones. Even "fit" women aren't going to be able to do pull ups, as "fit" women are mostly about cardio, not strength (they are afraid of looking unfeminine).

I will agree with one point of this post: If you think your social value (sexual or otherwise) rests on always being correct, you are an idiot unless your job is literally being a human encyclopedia (and it isn't). Should implies judgment, implies knowing what's best for someone else, implies knowing what someone else wants out of life. This is because you don't know how to use should in any connotation other than moral. "Should" can be used perfectly rationally and without making any assumptions at all. This come up in the construction "If X is your goal, you should do Y". There's no judgement here, just facts and potential consequences. Whenever you see patriarchy, just substitute the words "gender norms, upheld and enforced by both genders, that I dislike". When you talk to Real Feminists (tm), you learn that "patriarchy" really hurts men and women equally, and is really perpetuated by both genders. It's not a men's problem, it isn't a women's problem, it's a cultural problem (so they'll tell you). Of course, then they'll turn right back around and start bashing "men" as a group. Why is that? The term "toxic shame" appears quite a lot in No More Mr. Nice Guy. I there's some validity to the idea: put others needs before themselves It's not even about "needs". Why are you so afraid of women? I'm not afraid, I'm duly conscious of the possible consequences, because I've watched it happen. Your point would be valid, except he hasn't established that frame. Once you are married, suddenly switching frames will not work. Hell hath no fury, my friend. I've posted this earlier. This is how women sublimate their cognitive dissonance. They are sexually excited (sex begins in the mind, don't you know), but there is some internal conflict going on (virgin/whore, chaste/slut, desire/responsibility, lust/shame... whatever). It doesn't really matter what the internal conflict is. They desire it, but act like they don't and psychologically relinquish agency.
