Those that do travel outside of the US are often shocked to find that other societies are amused by their faux outrage over common discriminations like racism & sexism. They have already legalized bitcoin by taxing the transactions on trading sites. Their problem is that once the currency leaves the site, it is difficult to trace, can't be taxed and is in a legally gray area. You don't ever actually own any bitcoins. You own the keys to access them on the network. Physically carrying the keys across an international border or sending the bitcoin to a friend internationally, who also has a bitcoin account, is much easier than with other stores of value.

Silver's around 1/100 of the price of gold. I think it's a worthwhile investment to buy the silver with cash. I wouldn't trade gold for it.
