Hey, I was in that software job for 3 years and burnt out. I felt like i was always jamming a round peg in a square hole and just quit last year to do something completely different. Lol, so I sold everything to work entry level kitchen jobs around the country. I first moved to Alaska in the summer then California in the fall. Life is a bit stressful as everything is not so secure but I like it; I just live super minimal. Girls have been fairly easy to come by as well since im meeting a lot of n…

It's anxiety, right? I'm guessing she doesn't know you're a virgin and you're trying to hide it.

Stop pretending. Is exactly what the post is about. If you want a girl, you gotta live your life. Not a fake life that you think she wants.

my life is filled with things i love: video games, soccer, my job, backpacking trips, surfing, climbing so I'm not really desperate even though i don't really approach chicks i think that's one way to find abundance

The harsh truth is you can approach 100 women over the next year without reading a single bit of dating advice and chances are you'll do alright. But sounds like you don't wanna do that as most men don't (including me), just grab that Models audio book and you'll be fine.

Obviously it's subjective. My definition of quality is not the playboy blueprint. I like real women. I prefer extra bodyfat tbh.

Be opinionated and don't change to please someone else. Let her do 80% of the talking. Ask lots of questions, drive the conversation. Don't hide your vulnerabilities.

tbh i used to be that unfuckable arcade guy, but i get it now. i gotta say it is annoying that i have to go on /r/seduction and read books to figure it out. I'm supposed to think of women as humans but having to study seduction rather than it being embedded in me doesnt feel very human to me. I guess it's just a product of technology and constant unnatural social interactions.
/r/seduction10/05/19 06:13 PM

no i agree, i think that guy is completely unfuckable. I just think she's insane for posting about "having the time of her life" then "I don't think im seeing him again".

I would recommend working some of your issues out with a therapist if you can. Especially reading the part about not being successful at a job because of insecurities. Are you on your parents insurance? Besides that, the mark manson books are a good read: "Models" and "Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck". Get the audio books, listen to each a couple times.

to add to that, it's said again and again, to decrease desire, increase abundance. If you have many options, the stakes are low, there is not much fear. Im struggling with this right now, i like one girl but my abundance is too low and i know it, so im nervous. But im gonna bask in the fear anyway because i want to embrace that part of life. Gonna let curiosity take over. What is gonna happen? Probably not much.

It's a "fuck yes" or a "no". Sorry no time for games. I'm trying to do fun stuff and live a happy life. If you're wishy washy, get out of the way, I'm done.

It's not something you convey but is there to mitigate your anxiety which naturally makes you more relaxed hence attractive. You're not getting oneitis if you have abundance. That's the idea. Abundance is not just other women, it's your activities and hobbies too. You don't need one specific girl because your life is awesome; if they don't want to be part of it, that's their problem.

I probably shouldn't talk because I'm still single but I don't think I will be for much longer and have some advice to offer which is just the advice that has been passed on to me. January 1st I said to myself "I'm fucking done, im making drastic changes". I sold my stupid gaming computer, got my own apartment, joined a crossfit gym, got into meal prep and fixed my nutrition, fixed my wardrobe, and started getting serious about shooting for a promotion at work. Just got back. Turns out she was less into Animals than I thought she was even though she was a marine biology minor in school. Date didnt loosen up until we got drinks after. I was gauging her attractiveness level towards me and after the aquarium shit it was low but then it raised at the bar. I know because she said she had to meet friends at 9 and we stayed well past that. Should've said "are you sure you don't want to go where ever next?" She probably would've said yes. But instead I was Mr …

I'm so back and forth with it. But in the end, I hate it. I just got two REALLY good looking matches and im overwhelmed with how to pursue them. The texting game is annoying and it's so easy for them to flake. Advice appreciated. I think my plan is to just not give a fuck and start messaging random things then promptly work it into a date if i can but not ever put too much mental weight into it.

People try way too hard to apply "confidence". The secret is to just live your life and not make the primary focus on women. If you have an interesting life and you put yourself out there, things just fall into place.

its really tough, there's not much i can say that will really help you, you gotta just experience life and remember that nothing really matters. i wish i had this subreddit when i was younger. I'm personally not a fan of "admitting my love" because i think that does make things awkward (ive done it before :P) so ive learned to keep things light and have lots of options (abundance). there was a girl this year that I thought liked me because we have a lot of common interests, i took care of her ca…

well as a 27 year old ive learned from experience to just do stuff with the girl one-on-one, be flirty, and see if she reciprocates, then make a move if it feels right. But when I was 15, i got a gf because my friend told me a girl liked me and then we went to the movies with friends and it just happened. Maybe have one of your mutual friends ask her what she thinks of you. Or be super stealth and have one of your friends ask one of her friends to ask her lol.

Go to really busy bars, you will just blend in, and say "hey im new in town" i use that line even though ive been here for months and it never fails. If you feel awkward, wait in a bathroom line.

It's hard when you never get out and have no idea this stuff exists; which is the majority of internet communities. Once I started getting out more, it all came together. Love it when a girl touches me on the shoulder after i make a joke "oh you!", i get so turned on.

rock climbing for sure. Gyms can be a little expensive but its an amazing feeling to climb something you didn't think you could climb. It kind of translates to seduction as well. "Hmm so I ended up climbing that wall even though it seemed impossible, let me try talking to this girl i don't think i can get". walk up to people and say hello when you're there. "hey im new here, so what's bouldering all about?" You'll make friends and actually socialize at the gym too.

I go to yoga a lot, I have never asked a girl out there but I meet girls and then see them at bars. I would use the 2 second rule, say "hey whats your name" in the first 2 seconds. Get something going and see if they reciprocate in any way.

Think about the difference between Lebron winning a championship with Cleveland and KD winning with Golden State. Lebron carried his team, had an emotional connection with the city, worked his ass off with a game 7 comeback, and fell to his knees with tears of joy. While KD basically bought a championship by just signing with a super team aka paid for a prostitute. Who seemed happier when they won?

do you guys carry condoms with you or what? i always wonder if its weird to have condoms in my pocket when i go to the bar. For the record, i don't, just felt too weird. edit: okay now i feel weird for thinking its weird lol, i live in a bubble :P

I found a workaround recently. The trick is to find a very crowded bar. The one i have is perfect. There is a line to get in and bathroom lines, these are key. This is where I meet people (guys and girls). i.e. "hey i just moved here so im trying to meet people, what's your name?" "blah blah blah" "hey wanna dance?" Last night I just subtly danced alone sometimes too with a beer in my hand. At one point a girl stood next to me and said "i love this song". It was that kendrick banger with the Eif…

Take guitar lessons bi-weekly and pick a teacher that is on the younger side and can give you connections to music people, eventually you'll probably end up getting invited to a house party with live music or something like that. I'm probably gonna do that. My town also has a music hub that I might volunteer at. You don't have to be good at guitar.

Pick 2 potential communities and reach out and volunteer. There is stuff that is fun and non-committal. It's easy to ask for a number to hangout when you're helping them without asking for anything in return. In my case I didn't even have to ask. I started volunteering at a farmers market because i found out i dig chicks that like plants. I don't get paid in money, i get paid in friends that invite me to parties. I ended up going to a party on a farm and it was badass.

Sure! I might've gotten a little lucky as im fortunate to live in a great college town. In my city there are a couple neighborhoods. I started with the one that's usually for people my age but for some reason it was dead so i left and went downtown. I had a list of bars I researched that were appropriate for people my age and went to about 3-4 before I eventually found where the party was at. Line was out the door to get in so I waited in line. Tonight i went to a kick ass college bar as a 26 year old with a long history of insecurities and i was grinding on girls all night. Wtf have i been doing my entire life?! so stupid. it was soo easy. I could've had a 1 night stand if i really wanted to but still a little nervous about that, maybe tomorrow night. But for the first time in my life i just went to a bar alone and met people and had a great time. wtf man i have been missing out. plan on going a couple times a week now.

I want to share my idea of confidence as I just figured it out. Confidence is "This is who I am and if you don't like it, you can fuck off". No confidence is "I'll be whatever you want me to be or I won't be anything at all". Confidence gets some girls (not all, of course); no confidence gets none.

hey really sorry, im being honest here, I set a timer in my chrome browser where I only give myself 40 minutes of reddit a day and it went off before i could reply to yours. This is actually a great example of negative thinking when trying to read someones mind and I did it all the time with texts from girls ie "omg she hates me". Don't ever criticize yourself or other people. Wear a rubber band on your wrist and everytime you criticize, pull the rubber band and give yourself a little shot of pain to associate the negative thoughts with the pain. I did this to curb thoughts that give me depression and I was actually able to nip it in the butt. I cured my social anxiety as well. I used to think "oh i cant talk to her, im not good enough", no actually I can talk to whoever the hell i want because it doesnt matter. You might…

put blinders to negative thoughts... You've stumbled upon cognitive behavioral therapy. It's powerful. Negative thoughts actually trigger a biological response that causes you to not perform at your highest potential. Anxiety fucks people up and negative thoughts are the origin of that anxiety so put the blinders on to negative thoughts. I used to think positive thinking was some bullshit my grandma would tell me because shes nice but getting counseling changed that opinion; it works.

I don't think confidence is overused. I think it is the opposite of social anxiety. It's not worrying about people judging you. You don't have to practice anything to have that. Some people just have it.

im starting to hate tinder. The idea of just talking to strangers at bars, etc. appeals to me more. You really don't know anything about someone on this app, so its a waste of time to go out of your way to meet them and emotionally connect yourself to them in anyway (in my experience). But I still plan on using it to quickly grab a drink with someone or find someone downtown if i feel like it but i never have any expectations.

dude i was just like you at 23, i finally got with a girl i liked and didnt know what the fuck i was doing. luckily the girl i was with lead the way, i was just honest with her and she was cool. basically taught me everything. you gotta just jump in the pool, find someone and ride the ride with no expectations. thats life. im sure you could find someone online (or whatever way you prefer) that would be cool with someone with no experience, it happens, just be honest

absolutely, i do feel stronger now. whenever i do a long weekend trip, i try to make the highlight of the trip be something outside my comfort zone (which usually has to do with girls). Yup, lesson learned. With rejections at least you know. This happened at a city 3 hours away from me so she probably was too far away to be a gf (or maybe she travelled too D:) but doesn't matter, i had a chance to feel a sense of accomplishment and gain valuable experience and i didnt do it.
