It's only necessary to say it if it's not visible right away. I am one of those people that seems like they don't need support from anyone. I was always flabbergasted how no one ever offered me help until I heard this side. People just assumed I didn't need it. Now I am saying this obviously not focusing on men and dating. Some men don't want to see. And I say fuck them. But as there are many of us who don't have this type of support that I had to I am sharing this vulnerable part of who I am.

I always faked that by asking them to help me open a jar or hang curtains. But then my therapist explained that a good person would want to make my life better so to just show them how they could contribute. That's when I realised I needed to say: hug me, hold me tight, do this for me...make me a coffee... I have the same thing with my dad. Even though I am independent and earn much more he still needs to do stuff for me in order to show love.

I don't think I ever heard it, but I did have a situation My bully actually liked me and tried to date me. I was soooo shocked that he would actually think I want to spend time in his company. He tried to infiltrate my life after via a friend but she cut all contact with him.

This is totally new to me. In my culture we only date one person and are considered exclusive once we kiss. Everything else is cheating. It would be weird for me that a man would go out with me, kiss me, court me and do the same to another girl in a few days. I would conclude this is not normal and I would have moved on to someone who would prioritise me

One wore a zebra crop top with zebra flaired pants. Had a bunch of pink in her hair. And the shoes were those trendy balenciaga type sneakers. She looked very hot in them and showed her body off. The other had a green jumpsuit. Rarely you could see black, the traditionally slimming coulour

You recover by realising these kinds of things make you tougher and stronger You also can move away and put some physical distance between those people and yourself. You forgive for your own happiness, but you never forget and never allow for them to do it again. World is not always fair. Karma is very selective. And people can be manipulated, so level up. Live your best life and don't let this define you.

In my culture we have a thing where when we remember something that had happened before, we cross ourselves (as in Christian hand movement) and say never again, or something like " God forbid it should happen again". By doing this you dissociate yourself from the blame and feeling responsible for what happened to you to basically God being responsible for permitting that happening to you. It's a mind trick, but works for me.

I agree with what you just said. And I'm glad you clarified what I was not saying. I would not advise OP to be hysteric and emotional. Just to be vulnerable. A tear or two is OK. Hysterically crying would be counter productive. Rage would also be counterproductive.

Oh honey honey. I am so sorry this happened to you but not all is lost. In Lundy Bancroft's book there are resources that you can contact if you are in the USA, (ping me if you need the pdf) and we would need your location in terms of country to give you a bit of a better advice. This will pass. Do not worry. And you will graduate and everything will be alright. It's not your fault you got into this mess, but it's your responsibility to deal with it. Gun control is different than gun ban. And most of the guys are cowards so without a gun they will just stay behind their keyboards. If you give them a gun...then that's a different story.

I would suggest a Dave. Or a Dale. It's common enough to signalise the behaviour is a common reoccurence, it's a common name for white guys, and it's boring enough to signalise a boring and uneventful life

It's a Chris Rock standup routine. The routine goes something like: Only women and children are loved unconditionally. Man is only loved om the condition that he can provide. The takeaway is that no one will f*ck a broke man. But it's not the other way around. No man will not fuck a woman he likes because she's broke. To be fair, it's a funny delivery. Hate when scrotes use it for life advice.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/08/21 02:35 PM

This is from a Chris Rock standup. Honestly, it's hillarious. But to be fair, that's what we preach. No leaches. And to be fair. That's what they want as well, but they will sleep with a broke chick. That's the only difference as Chris put it. I cringe when someone makes it a "this is the truth" meme

I had a similar situation. It felt like he wanted a girlfriend more than me as a girlfriend. It felt as if I was a fantasy in his mind more than a real person with flaws and all. Once I became real, once I needed him for support, he ran. It hurt. I also broke it off multiple times before the final break up.

I can't use this. I would eye roll to your order sis :) Not trying to shame you as my reaction comes from experience. I know how difficult it is to get what you want exactly how you want it. For example. I like a longer espresso with some cold milk. Simple, some would say, but no. When I was in Portugal they don't make it and want me to choose from the menu. I would either get a macchiato (not enough milk) or a latte (too much milk). When I hear someone making that order in a place other than st…

I totally agree. I wrote a comment and it got downvoted to hell. The message was - it depends whether it's an honest accident or negligence. And the way to see this is whether the person has done similar stuff in the past and continues to do that. Female or male, child or a parent, our reaction would depend on whether this was a once off thing or constantly happening. I can see Lori and Mark Cuban just cringe at the topic. Sooo much cringe it's not even funny for them. I can imagine Lori on the shopping network saying "And we all know we have to tell our husbands to do chores". She would never do that. She's at a point in her life where she sees this guy as a worm that should be crushed. She was the first to go out as well.

It's difficult because I would have to block all websites that allow you to see Instagram posts anonymously. But yeah. Love bombing works. I wonder though, because I am trained to recognise logical fallacies whether I am just not seeing that many people are not and they tend to conclude what they like, and that is what makes them so loved by men. I always saw Joe Rogan as a fighter and respected him as one. He's also a good interviewer. But his interview with Bill Maher where Bill told that porn of today is just rapey and incesty and Joe was surprised tells me he also doesn't see a lot of things.

Well if you look at it - that's how we learn. By experimenting. We often do not believe something is hot until we get burned for the first time. And even after someone warns us, we still have to see for ourselves. Now I note that you ignored him, and until he made a racist/bigot comment you didnt respond. There is a reason gray rock is a technique and yelling is not. It's just easier on you mentally.

Yeah, this guy was looking to piss someone off to vent. Deescalation is one of the options here, as someone described, you say "I'm not waiting for the bakery to open, tnx ", and then gray rock. It's a better option because you don't get angry and worked up over something not relevant to your life. But something in me tells me if more of us reacted this way they would leave us the f. alone.

I don't see it tbh. I think these phrases resonates with so many of us because (for example with "he's not that into you" ) we sometimes come across people that seem very interested in us, but we're not attracted to them enough, or we don't connect on an emotional level and we just don't want to give them a chance and there's nothing THEY can do to change that. Probably. Not all people (men and women) are smart or capable of actual insight. People change and grow over years. They realise past mistakes and attempt to correct them. That being said, it's not our job to provide free therapy. Nor to waste our time. If you want to answer it tell him that you don't wanna bother yourself analysing why he is unsuccessful with girls. Or just block him and save yourself some time.

They make it mandatory for you to submit written consent forms signed (they probably make it downloadable from the website) and some ID data like an ID card or your face next to the signed consent form. It goes into review and if it's accepted it's submitted and shown on the website. It would reduce DRASTICALLY the number of revenge porn.
