A part of me always wondered if he wanted to do it so he could then turn around and sue her for child support 🤔 Likely, he also wanted a last ditch effort to keep her under his thumb under the guise of “co-parenting.” Like that guy who posted on Reddit calling his ex a “dead beat mom” after he forced her to have a kid she didn’t want, agreed he would let her sign away all obligations to the child, and was then somehow surprised when she surprised pikachu face didn’t want anything to do with him or the baby he forced her to have.
