That man is terrible and the women are TOO gullible. Seriously, if we lived in a perfect world, everyone would do you no wrong but that’s not reality. We can’t fix others but we can not be dumb. Maybe I am just stingy but I wouldn’t even let him borrow $100. And it’s not even about the money sometimes, why would a man even need to borrow money from YOU in the first place

Yea it’s better than putting his needs first and risk her getting pregnant. But I’m curious if that is sustainable, rather having a no sex relationship than wearing a condom. What do you think

I love that everyone on here doesn’t sugar coat up their opinion/advice and say how it is. Especially when girls ask for advice on the other sub. The last thing we should hear when asking about a LVM is, “maybe you misunderstood him, maybe he shows love differently.”

I’m enjoying the show but literally all the dates and conversation they have with each other are “what is your type” and “do you like me.” ☠️ are there not any deep conversations or other topics they can talk about. The guys are so bland

They are all a bunch assholes. Feeling uncomfortable? I feel awkward around new people but that doesn’t mean I should exclude them. It’s just so messed up and they are the type of people that don’t give a shit about anyone but themselves. One of my friend always invite everyone to gatherings even if she was just in a fight with them. They sound like they are still in the middle school stage. Only place where I’ve seen women being called gold diggers because they married someone successful and rich is the Internet. In real life, I’ve seen women being praise such as “wow she is living the life,” or “she’s smart to pull something like that.”

What are everyone thoughts on the whole Diamond is a scam debate? Really curious what FDS think of this because we seen post where we want engagement rings worth x amount. Then I have heard of how many people from other platforms/forums are against diamonds because of how it’s mined unethically and that it’s all a marketing tactic. My husband bought me a diamond but he thinks it’s a scam as well and there are better investments out there. But yet he frown upon lab grown diamonds because from his…

This is crazy but I have a real close friend that moved in with her bf and he proposed 2 months later. I advised her not to but it turned out fine for her. I guess she is one of the exceptions. I am happy for her though. And for anyone asking, they don’t go 50/50. He provides for everything and she has her own career. Thoughts?

There are so many LVM on OLD but I do prefer it over anything else. But then again there are LVM everywhere. i agree with you, I rather filter them out by looking at a profile over meeting someone in real life, only to find out they smoke. I just don’t understand the level of hate for dating apps on this forum and the fact that some women want to find a partner. Nothing wrong with putting yourself out there. This is really good to know and interesting point, is it still a low risk if the man is more financially off and has assets? Curious about this is a common theme I’m seeing where men don’t want to get marry because of this.

I didn’t even know this was a thing until Tik Tok, looks like men love to ask that question on videos where woman talked about their standards. But I wouldn’t be surprise if I was asked that question in another form or subtly

I would be creeped out if my friend got annoyed with me because I pay more attention to my SO. Not all women that love being around their SO is a pickme which seems to be the narrative sometimes. Wanting to hang out with your SO all the time especially in the beginning seems pretty normal to me. This is coming from someone that is very introvert and reserve in physical contact 1) I prefer if there’s no touching, no hugs until maybe 3rd date and let them initiate 2) I think sitting next to each other is more intimate and I rather look at their face when they are talking. I want to see their reaction and expressions 3) I like to ask about their hobbies and generally what they like and dislike. I always ask them directly regarding their careers and family. To have a family, intimacy, someone to grow old with. I can take care of myself but it’s nice to have someone right there with you, share ideas and vent to. I have friends but sometimes it’s not the same. Your friends can’t be there for you all the time and they all have their own life/family they prioritize. The double income is great as well, especially both being in corporate, we share our frustration and support each other’s career paths. I can see how marrying the wrong person can make ones…

I heard because woman give them everything they want without the man fully committing and the man doesn’t feel the rush to get officially married since they are already “marry” in his eyes. Kinda fucked up. Don’t really understand how they can live with themselves, with one leg in and one leg out. And moreover women tolerate this because either they are dependent on the man or they are holding on to hope. Maid has a good perspective on this

In the event the woman does invite you on a date, if the guy is interested, he will pay. When I was dating my husband, I suggested a date idea and I offered to pay, he refused and said he’s the one taking me out on a date. Further into the relationship, I asked about this and he said in his eyes, we were already together and his money was mine so it makes no difference to him

🚩🚩🚩🚩ghost him He doesn’t want a relationship, he just wants company and a woman to give him the benefits of a relationship. If he ever makes you doubt his feelings about you, no matter how much he tells you he likes you, run. I don’t know why men do this (take you on dates, tells you how much he likes you) but turn around and say there’s no spark or still need more time. You’re doing yourself a disservice and wasting your time on him

More women need to realize that good men that like you will WANT to pay for your dinner and buy you things. That’s just how it is, I don’t care what anyone else says. Although its not the sole indicator, if they don’t, then they definitely don’t like you

I had a friend in my circle that was super shy and didn’t have the courage to ask girls out in dating apps, let alone continue a conversation. BUT he liked a girl in the friend group. As everyone said, don’t combine finances but disregarding that for now since you guys already did. Did the parents help pay for the house? If not, they are way to bossy on something you and your bf bought together. Not sure why they think they have a say. If they did help then it’s even worst, you are just a girl their son is dating and most likely think they own the house, not you and you’re just naive enough to help them. I get where OP is coming from. But even with blood related family, there are manipulative and bad people, it’s not wrong to cut anyone off. There’s really no such thing as unconditional love, maybe your kids but people can only be pushed so far. If you married them, yes they are considered family but once they act badly towards you, it isn’t wrong to let them go.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/12/21 11:31 PM

I can relate to this as well. I would say it depends on the relationship and if he has ever given you anything that was of value to you. I have always given my husband and during dating nice gifts but less expensive than his. Mostly because he never has any nice things and I want to do something nice for him. I think that if you have a HVM that spoils you, even if guys don’t appreciate expensive gifts as much, they still like the gesture.

That’s honestly a very insecure mindset, to lower our standards in hopes of finding someone that treats us well. There are very attractive men out there that don’t have a high ego and treat their partner with respect and love

I’m a homebody as well, same with my husband but he has never claim to be a homebody when we were dating. It’s such a off putting thing to say, it’s similar to telling the person you’re dating “I don’t like going out to eat.” 🤨 makes the other person feel like a chore. These claims are just excuses, if they like you, they will want to take you to places and be open minded. It’s just part of the experience when dating

Be confident in yourself! When I had my first date, I was super nervous too and during that time my self esteem was really low. Looking back, I wish I knew about FDS and had the mentality of he should try to impress me, what am I so nervous for? Any guy should be lucky to have me. Being nervous didnt really help my case of getting to know them, I was more focus on being nervous than if he was the right person

Oldest I would date is 5 or 6, 7 is really pushing it… I am 27, just thinking the guy is close to my cousins age which I think of as a older figure makes me uncomfortable. When I was in early 20s, I would refuse to date anyone over 28 😅
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/11/21 04:09 PM

I also don’t advise to withhold your career and accomplishments. It should be something you are proud of and be used to your advantage. You have accomplish xyz, why not let people know? The right person will be so attractive to that (within reasons) and given they are also on the same playing field. I think it’s easier to weed out people that might potentially want to take advantage of that, men that are also career driven and doesn’t try to hint 50/50 nor have you pay. I didn’t have sex with my now husband until we were engaged but then we didn’t even hold hands until we became an official couple. He is very reserved, shy, and family oriented. I haven’t dated many guys prior but majority of them were good on boundaries but had other red flags ☠️
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/11/21 06:55 AM

Yes, even if he does ask I find it a red flag. I don’t want my mouth touching anyone’s mouth on the first date…if you are kissing on the first date then the relationship moves with the physical aspect faster which is not a good idea. It’s a kiss now and a week later he’s going to ask for sex

I think a good amount is whatever you are comfortable with and doesn’t hinder your other activities/goals. Ooh this question was made for me, I struggle with this soo much, they do one nice thing for and I imagine the whole future with them. I noticed that the pattern was I forced myself to ignore any potential flags and that let my guard down way too fast. Choosing a partner that will make a good father is a good strategy but like you said choosing a partner for for you comes first. The way I see it, is if your partner can take care of you and is very considerate, those traits will trickle down. Your children will grow up and have a family of their own, the partner you chose will grow old with you.

Purposely saying that tells me you are testing my boundaries and that female best friend is always going to be that third person in the relationship.

I would like to know everyone’s thoughts against this but I don’t see what is wrong with only hanging out with your husband. Yes, I think it’s important not to center your life around your husband but when you marry someone and have kids, that is your family. We only have so much time in a day and I think it’s normal to only be able to juggle between your family and your career. Life happens and friends are lost along the way. That does not go to say, we ignore our friends and only reach out whe…

Agreed, there’s just a larger pool of LVM on dating apps because it’s at the palm of your hands and literally anyone can use it, it’s literally the same people that exist in real life too lol

As for OLD, there is a lot of trash but I’ve seen decent guys. Right! My mom have been telling me for the longest time , it’s BS when men say I make money, I don’t need my wife to work. HVM aren’t idiots, they didn’t invest all their time into their career and education just to marry someone that’s not as intelligent and ambitious as him, it doesn’t really make sense/seem fair to himself. And it goes beyond that too, if both are at the same spectrum, then they actually have more things in common and it’s easier to communicate with. I had a friend that said …

I don’t think I meant it like it, what I learned was that if you give a man everything before you guys are married, why would he want to marry you if you gave him everything before you even needed his full commitment. At least that’s how i interpreted it on the FDS advice here, Don’t give wife benefits as a girlfriend. You could also argue a good man wont think like that, well tbh, we never know. I can only speak on my group of friends and men that I have met on dating apps but it’s because having a serious relationship means having less time to focus on themselves ie their career and the responsibilities of having a girlfriend just isn’t it for them. How people will view you when you’re married is dependent on how you hold yourself. People get married because they want a family and life time partner but if you think this will make people view you differently then it sounds like a insecurity thing. Another reason that men value and respect what they work for. Men have said this too themselves. They naturally want to provide! If they want and love you, they will do things for you just because they want to and it also make themselves happy. Anyone can say you are his dream girl but not everyone will plan things with you. Planning requires time, thought, and money. Words are meaningless.

Sometimes being in a relationship cause you to ignore the red flags because you want it to work out so bad and that person isn’t that “bad”. She knows but chose to ignore it. If you tell her she deserves better, she’s going to be offended because in her mind, you don’t know her boyfriend and that’s just one of his flaws. I don’t think it’s a red flag for a woman over 30 to be unmarried but the dating pool for decent men definitely decreases. By the time that man is 35, he wants a younger woman because our fertility starts decreasing at 30 I think? And comes to the question, why isn’t he married? So he just uses women as a placeholder while he was young and now can decide he wants to get marry now? red flag I do agree that it’s harder for a woman to find a decent man than the other way around
/r/askFDS19/04/21 11:44 PM

I think it depends...I was advised that the longer a women dates a men without getting married/proposed, the more disadvantaged she is because she’s essentially getting her time wasted and he doesn’t see a future with her. Some guys may just want to get marry just to have a maid but that’s why we have the vetting process and block delete at the first sign of red flag. i think the ring is the most important thing to look for even if he seems like a HVM.

FDS hates OLD but it’s no worst than real life. I find that it’s just easier to weed men out. When I started using dating apps, my end goal wasn’t to find a serious relationship, I wanted to see what was out there but I still held high standards. I get what you mean by practice, you can read the handbook all you want but by dating around it helps you get a sense of what men are like and how they think. It helped me held my standards higher and articulate what I’m looking for. I was soooo naive a…

I don’t get why FDS is so hated among Reddit and even some “bad reviews” from other random blogs. They act as if FDS is a cult and the only people that follow these rules are hiding in this subreddit. I’ve seen tons of similar advice elsewhere, most notably tik tok. So many women and even men hold these same values, and people calling out pickmes and low effort men.

Your partner doesn’t need to know everything about your past and if you don’t tell them, I don’t think it’s being dishonest. Wether I had past trauma or not, it shouldn’t affect the relationship. It’s when the men gives his potential wife’s parents a very large amount of money. This is view as the women’s family selling their daughter in western countries but that’s not how that came about. It just a sign of respect , shows that the man is serious about the woman, and thanking her parents for bring her to the world. As far as I know, the money is returned to the couple during their wedding, there are some families that keep a portion of the money though

It’s a common requirement in China for the men to be able to provide a house or at least a condo, have stable career, and give a bride price. And that’s the bare minimum. Even in the country side. If a women married a broke men, she will be looked down upon by family members and outsiders will think she doesn’t value herself nor respect herself. Like you don’t think you deserve better...

Agree with this! I don’t think all guys that do this are narcissist, some guys did mean what they said but took it back because they no longer want you or they just liked the thought of having you but not the full effort to keep you. I think the general rule is that if a guy isn’t willing to buy that engagement ring then there’s no need to tell me about that future you want to built with me nor how much you trust, like if you love me that much then propose 😳

Bringing up small dislikes is a great way to vet! And his willingness to change and accommodate shows that he will make your life a lot easier in the future, if he doesn’t listen now, he never will. HVM won’t argue with you and have to “win” the argument either because they won’t risk your happiness over such trivial things
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/03/21 05:26 PM
13

I agree! The right HVM will say “no let me do it” if they see you cooking or cleaning
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/03/21 04:25 PM

This is a good take on this! Just goes back to the saying people will treat you how you allow them to
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/03/21 04:21 PM

Okay why do men do this 🥴 I’m assuming he’s taking care of her and she’s jobless but like why take them in but not want to marry them
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/03/21 04:48 PM

This is why you don’t ask or wait on any man to marry you. If they want to, they will, otherwise they have all kinds of excuses and ultimately blaming you for any unhappiness because you “forced” them to get marry
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/03/21 03:17 PM

/r/askFDS16/03/21 05:19 PM

Also men that are truly interested will take any hint they can to gain the courage to ask you out even if they are imagining it!! So any men that say oh she doesn’t like me, I’ll just get rejected is bs, nope you just don’t like her enough to take the chance
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/03/21 05:02 PM
71

Asking for sex too early is a red flag to me. I may be too traditional but a man should know that sex can lead to pregnancy and it’s generally involves more emotions for woman, so they should truly know they are committed to you and like you before wanting to have sex with you, ie in the relationship stage and not just after a few dates. What do you ladies think?

I dated someone thinking they were decently financial stable, the impression they gave off made me think they weren’t broke. I was deceived but at the same time I didn’t ask the proper questions and I didn’t vet. Soon I found out they were broke and the only thing I could hold on to was potential. Yea I don’t know what the hell I was thinking, I was at the point in my life where I thought no one …

I like men that are as career driven as me, I’m out there improving myself and moving up the corporate ladder. If you’re broke then I see it as being lazy, not wanting to improve your life, and no goals. If you’re broke, there’s no way I can raise a family with you, I’m just setting my kids up for a bad life and I’m definitely not raising a man child

I don’t see why not, I actually don’t think any good man will not like a good woman when he finds one just because she doesn’t like to give blow jobs. My HVM never asks for a blow job, I’ve only did it a few times just for fun during foreplay

I assumed you were looking for a HVM given this sub, I thought your post meant whats the point of dating at all if you can do everything yourself. Don’t you enjoy the doing couple things when dating? I enjoy doing couple activities, holding hands, and having my SO treat me to things. I mean obviously it had to be with a hvm. I don’t think dating just have to be what value the other person brings to your life, you would need to enjoy their presence too

You should be with someone that is the whole package, someone that wants to be with you, has their life together, and makes you a priority. For instance just because someone is committed to you doesn’t necessarily mean they will treat you well. People have flaws and nobody is perfect but the flaws shouldn’t weigh you down and shouldn’t make you question if they make a good partner.

I never understood the need for bachelor and bachelorette parties. They always made it to seem like their life is over once they get married and they can’t have friends anymore

You can start the conversation with something along the lines of “I have the feeling Marie likes you and that’s making me uncomfortable. I noticed that she mostly pays attention to you at the group hangouts, does she try to talk to you outside of the hangouts?” Don’t even mention that you read through his messages. If he lied then there’s your answer. Most importantly, do not tell him what to do about the situation, ie block her. If you tell him what to do, there’s a possibility he will tell eve…

Your boyfriend is also at the wrong here, you shouldn’t need tell him in the first place because he should have let you know about her advances. The appropriate response is for him to stay away from her at those party, reject selfie requests, and ignore her dms. Also this is a normal reaction from you, I would feel super uncomfortable if one of my female friends always try to strike a conversation with my husband. Its one thing to ask a simple question but to always initiate conversations is ano…

Yes it is! But I think if we had this trend rather than the other where the woman shows how horrible/lazy their husband is, it will bring more light to what the standard should be because some woman honestly think it’s the norm for the men not to clean

Aren’t all 90% of men LV 👀, I mean isn’t the chance of them being LV the same if you meet them offline. Dating apps just removes the extra step, you can judge a lot based off of their profile

They are out there, I met mine online (although can still agree that there’s a lot of LVM). It was easier to filter them out because I opt out as soon as I found anything I didn’t like about them. but majority paid for the dates if I did decide to meet them, same goes for my friends that use dating apps. My husband during courtship paid for everything such as dates and grocery except my bills and did not add my name to his asset until we were married.

What’s the difference between future faking and planning the future with you/making future plans? Say for example 2 month in, he talks about going on vacations and buying you a house, what is that consider? Or would a HVM not bring it up until he makes a commitment such as proposing.

I think the main issue is that he has no plan to marry or propose to you. It doesn’t matter how long his move was. 4 years is way to long for him to say “we will assess the situation then.” Honestly if he doesn’t know now, he never will, even if he does propose later on, it’s because he got fed up with you pressuring him or he’s settling
/r/askFDS22/02/21 06:23 PM

While I don’t think any guy is obligated to pay anything, but if a man likes you and value you, he will pay. Men pay for things they want to invest in. These women are just doing themselves a disservice if they are okay with paying for their man

Come on, how come all these types of girls find out about those basics down the road. Like there were no other signs of stanky breathe or bad dental hygiene in the beginning? A good career is one of the first thing I look for in a man before I vet his other qualities. I want to know if he’s financially stable to support a family and if he has the means to be generous when gifting and dating. I don’t want to wait on his potential. Same goes for myself, I didn’t start dating until I graduated college and had a stable job.

I thought love bombing was mostly saying words you like to hear and less of the action. I read about love bombing but still a little confused, what’s the difference between a guy knowing that he’s serious about you and actively pursuing vs someone that is love bombing?

I’ve found that HVM like that you have boundaries, shows you have self respect. If you don’t respect yourself, how can you expect others to respect you. No respect no love
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/02/21 09:13 PM
47

So true! HVM are out there and the ones that are have no problem waiting and showing you through actions that they are serious about you. Yes, sex is important but that shouldn’t be their ultimate goal with you.

In regards to the engagement ring, I really find it sad when men say they can’t afford a ring or the women say she has to help her man pay for it. Just how do you not have a couple thousands saved up, they are admitting they don’t have the financial ability to save money nor have a decent career. Buying a nice ring represents their commitment to you and that they have the means to provide for you.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/02/21 04:47 PM
55

They just want an ego boost, I think a similar post was made on Reddit about a guy saying a girl flirted with him or gave him her number, he wasn’t interested but was flattered and he was encouraging more girls on Reddit to do that to guys, it feels good for them because they rarely get it 🤪

Does this also go for HVM? I mean you should always wait till he has proven himself but say you have sex with a men in the early stages and he is one of those HVM, would he still put in less effort because he got what he want or would he still in effort because he’s a HVM?🤔
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/02/21 03:51 AM

Out of curiosity, given flowers are the bare minimum for Valentine’s Day, what do you ladies think if your boyfriend plans a very nice expensive dinner but does not buy flowers nor a small gift. Is that A HVM or a man that does as little as possible to see what you can put up with?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/02/21 03:27 PM

My husband would always wash the dishes for me unless I’m eating by myself or he really needs to do something. Ever since I met him, he would automatically pick up my dish when we are finish eating and cleans up.

There’s a difference between being cheap and frugal... yes you should spend wisely but to comment on cost all the time is a huge turn off, that’s literally embarrassing 🙄. I know guys that spend $100+ on a date and pay the bill even if the girl chose the place.
