Dude you don't owe this guy any explanation. If you say no to a date idea he should accept and suggest something else.

Oh yes they definitely bring it upon themselves. I like to remind men that they are Humans. What differentiates a human from an animal? The ability to reflect, make decisions, and have self control. You don't have to give into every desire for momentary pleasure.

Attraction is an important part of a relationship. If there is no attraction there cannot be the romantic spark that glues a relationship together. Don't force yourself to be with a man you're not attracted to.

The worst thing you can spend on a lvm is your time. Just be happy it's over and you can move on. You will have more opportunities to make money in the future and you stopped yourself from losing more.

Men these days have been broken by porn, video games, and weed. They are lazy with no drive to live a real life. Before they actually had to be a part of society and prove themselves to get with a woman. Now they have immediate satisfaction from porn and fake accomplishments from video games to feel better about themselves.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/09/21 10:52 PM

Disney is just rehashing fairy tales that have been out for centuries. Men created these stories to control women.

Same. I have to try to convince myself that not all men are like this. I'm hyper aware of any red flags now.

I'm so traumatized that I can't even have sex without thinking about it. Or any sexual thoughts. I need to purge my mind. I've become essentially no libido or a sexual from it.

Men are only as faithful as their morals. They are capable of self control if they want to be. There are men out there who value family life more than sex with random women.

Yeah it's happened to me on dates. I don't get where guys are coming from with this. Quizzing someone isn't a real way to get to know someone. It feels like an interview.

OLD sucks. That being said, I do think psychologically it is worse in the sense that men know you are interested in them. Once they know that then you are automatically seen as less desirable.

This was hard to watch. Wtf?

Men are jealous of women that make more than them. I'm becoming a doctor, and a lot of guys I've dated say things to demean the work that I do and the effort that it took me to get here. They say things like they "could've got into medical school if they wanted to" (this guy wasn't even able to graduate from college and was unemployed at the time); or their favorite - "AI will be replacing your job soon."
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/02/21 04:13 PM

Ah yes. The infamous "friend" who's always signing innocent men up on dating apps strikes again.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/02/21 02:06 AM

I think you're overthinking this. They are simply not the right guy for you if they aren't pursuing you. Also, most of us at FDS are feminists.

I wouldn't give out my social media to a man unless we were dating. A lot of guys just like to collect social media to give them local chicks to jack off to.
/r/askFDS27/01/21 07:44 PM
35

It's definitely cheating. If a man watches porn I ask them how they'd feel if I went out on a date and had dinner with another man. They all consider that simple action cheating, even if there is no physical intimacy at that point. Then why isn't it cheating if you're seeing other women naked, perform sexual acts, and ejaculating to it? It's way more intimate of an action than dinner with someone else.

The average lvm.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/01/21 05:03 AM

It's also why porn is so destructive. Men lose their drive for sex which really is also the motivation men have to focus on hygiene, fitness, education, hobbies, and getting married.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/01/21 10:13 PM
16

How is this taking the pandemic seriously ? He'll probably still try to kiss her and sleep with her.

Yeah my ex was like this too. He'd say some shit like "it's a two way street. You're not helping." So it's my fault you're an alcoholic porn addict smoker who broke his peepee circulation? Every other guy I was with got hard instantly around me and was basically begging me for sex, so I know it's not me.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/01/21 02:55 PM

At this point, I feel like it's better to not even post pictures of a guy on social media unless married or engaged.

She needs to get away from both brothers. And the parents need to have a serious talk with both those kids and block them from internet access. Hope they still have time to mentally be saved as they are children.

Yeah, any guy getting that drunk in his 30s has a problem.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/01/21 08:17 PM

I remember my ex canceling plans because he was hungover. I was so pissed and hurt. He couldn't anticipate that and mitigate his drinking so it doesn't interfere with our plans? Not worth it, sis.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/01/21 08:15 PM
1

Wtf.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/01/21 03:11 PM
35

Yeah. This is the biggest thing I learned from FDS. Any man can come across as "high value" initially. You really see their true colors after you commit to them. And at that point it gets harder to let them go because there are feelings attached
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/01/21 06:43 AM
19

We already know he's a perv from the age difference of the relationship.

So gross. Also, unfortunately, most artistic men (including musicians), are players.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/01/21 02:58 AM
5

It is cheating... If I went out to dinner as a date with another man, not even kissing him or holding his hand, I'm sure every man would consider that cheating. But jacking off to other women and having an orgasm at the thought of fucking them isn't cheating somehow?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/01/21 01:28 PM
19

He wants to focus on another woman he's dating but keep the door open with you in case it doesn't work out.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/01/21 06:50 AM

I'm in the same boat as you. The man I was with treated me like a queen. I found out he was looking at VR porn on a head set. Fucking broke my heart.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/12/20 08:20 PM

Men who watch porn used to be considered huge creeps and losers. Back in the days when they had to get porn from adult video stores or adult theaters. Any guy who went to those were considered loser pervs. Why'd the perception suddenly change?

As a medical professional, I have to say that this isn't a sign that someone is cheating on you. UTIs aren't an STD and E. coli is the most common cause of one in a young woman. E. coli is typically from the digestive tract and gets into a womans urinary tract from wiping. It could get access during sex as well if you go from anus to vagina during sex. But using it as a sign that someone is cheating on you will be inaccurate most times.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/12/20 04:58 AM
30

If it's nothing then why do it? Men don't like photos for no reason.
/r/askFDS25/12/20 03:01 AM
3

Yeah you can't win answering that question whatever the answer is. If it's "high" they judge you. If it's "low", they judge you in other ways. Are you a prude? Bad at sex? Maybe no guy wants you? Etc.
/r/askFDS21/12/20 11:21 PM
4

No, never. That's a fundamental rule of FDS. Be very vague about your past relationships.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/12/20 06:13 PM

On the flip side, behind every "low libido" man is a porn addiction and a wife in denial.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/12/20 05:24 AM

Men planning dates shows their commitment and excitement towards you. When men are excited about a woman that they want to impress, I think they naturally come up with date ideas. Whether it's a restaurant they want to take you to or an activity they want to do with you. It's not a chore. It would be a red flag for me if a man asked me to plan dates.
/r/askFDS01/12/20 11:06 PM
23

Another problem I see that others have not addressed: why are you having Netflix and chill dates with him when you 2 are not in a relationship yet? I think this is part of the problem. You're both super bored because you're in the beginning of the dating phase and trying to fast forward to a long term intimate type relationship. At this point you should still be vetting him and going out for dates. It seems like you're both trying to force this to be something more than it is.
/r/askFDS01/12/20 10:53 PM
11

Wtf? That's horrible. I've dated very crappy disrespectful men but they've all taken me to the doctor or hospital when I needed help. That's just basic human decency.

He wants sex. Ideally, as easy as possible.
/r/askFDS18/11/20 11:20 AM
22

So gross. Unfortunately I don't think you can change a man who does that. And if he's doing that he is probably doing worse too when you aren't around. Men who do that have no shame. My dad would check women out in front of me. Even when I was a kid, not even a teenager, he'd point out women to me that he found attractive. "Look at her legs in those shorts" "Look at her boobs" "Look at her hair" It's so gross. Can you be with that kind of guy for any longer?

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/11/20 07:12 PM

I agree. That's why my advice to her was to keep track of his Instagram. At 6 weeks, it's too early to know someone's true colors. Need at least 6 months to have a real grasp, I'd say.
/r/askFDS09/11/20 02:45 PM
23

I don't know. I would look into Instagram. I found ex #1 was secretly married by snooping through his instagram, and ex #2 was a porn addict and masturbating to pics of his friends. I'd snoop HARD on instagram.
/r/askFDS09/11/20 02:39 PM

I'd still scope him out. Could be the first sign of a red flag, could be completely innocent. Keep track of who he is following...
/r/askFDS09/11/20 02:38 PM

I don't think it's acceptable. Probably grooming you into being ok with him watching porn. Same defense that men use with "not real women, not really cheating"

I think some people just type like that.. they think it's "flirty" and "cute." I know it's off-putting, but I wouldn't put too much into texting before meeting. Texting personality can be different than IRL personality, which is way more important for a relationship. I've met men who had perfect grammar and spelling online, but were completely unbearable in person.

100% agree with this. Most men are disgusting and vile when it comes to sex in a way that women will never relate to or understand. They just want to use our bodies. But they can't get enough. That's why they need thousands of other women to jack off to from porn and insta accs.

Most these men who call women ugly are addicted to porn and spend their days looking at photoshopped small waists and big boobs on Instagram. While they are so disconnected from their own fat ass ugly bodies. Their minds are polluted.

Not only that, but the majority of Bachelorettes are in long term committed relationships now. Mostly married (even if not to their F1). The Bachelors on the other hand, most are STILL single.

Women never win with this. When a man is dating a virgin, there is so much judgement. Something must be wrong with her. No man before desired her. Or she'll want to sleep around later so you can't trust her. Or she's lying in general. All stereotypes I've heard.

I love him a lot which makes the whole thing very difficult. I had this view of our relationship as this incredible love story. Two people completely enamored with each other. It all feels like a lie. A facade. This has totally changed the view I have on relationships. I've pretty much lost hope on finding a man who is faithful and loving. I'm starting to think the only reason to get married is for financial security and a sperm donation. If a guy is making six figures and at least elevating my …

He was pretty adamant about hating porn. He thought it was for losers and creeps who couldn't get women in real life. And I had full access to his phone and computer whenever I wanted and I never saw anything remotely related to porn. Same thing happened to me growing up. Met a 26 year old man when I was 17. He waited till I was 18 to officially "date" me. After that I moved in with him after a couple of months. That started 10 years of abuse, control, and manipulation that I only broke free from physically and mentally just last year. Would not recommend.

Yes, it is an actual line. I believe from the first season. The main character is training as her first year as a surgeon. She falls in love with and sleeps with a neurosurgeon that she is training under. Then, she finds out he is married to another physician in the hospital. So she does her "Pick me" speech, to try to get him to leave his wife.

Anyone else see the trailer for the new TV show "Dummy"? It's a Pickmeisha hell based on a true story. A much younger woman dating an old man. When they sleep together, she discovers the old scrote has a sex doll. Instead of throwing the whole man away, the show delves into her "insecurity" around this. And apparently the doll talks and is a "feminist."

I don't think this thought that "if I had blonde hair men would find me more attractive" is accurate. Men have types. For some men that's blond, others brunette, others unnatural colors. If you look at a guys exes, they usually look similar. It could be body type or hair or both. Men don't tend to deviate from what they find attractive when picking a girl to be in a relationship with. If they do go outside of their realm of attraction, the relationship tends to be sexually unfulfilling for both.…

If you drink, do drugs, and smoke during your teens and 20s, you're gonna look old in your 30s-40s, no matter what. If you see any celebs that look really hot in their 30s and 40s they all say they stopped drinking, drugs, smoking, etc. I'm in my early 30s and everyone thinks I'm a teenager or in my early 20s just from my looks. It's because I barely drank, never smoked, and always followed a good skin care routine.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/03/20 03:19 AM

Eh, I disagree. I think Bumble can be used the same way as any other dating app. I definitely had men pursue me on it. How I used it: - Swiping only on men I find attractive (not reading profiles) - Out of the men I match, I look at profiles for ones that seem compatible with me. - I send a smile emoji or a gif. Simple and does not involve any thought. --->> At this point, the guy is responsible for really starting the convo and pursuing. I found my boyfriend on Bumble. I think it works.

A lot of romance is about intangibles. Just saying you are attractive, fit, with a good paying job isn't the whole story. How do you make a woman feel? Do you make her feel special? Do you make her feel safe, respected, like you're listening to her wants and desires? Also, you don't talk about what types of dates you're taking these girls on. I think early on, dates can really shape the perception she has of a man. Exciting dates that involve an activity tend to do better. And finally. Dating ta…

Yeah. I find men who think this is materialist pretty selfish in a lot of ways. It's not just to brag about looks or what it's made of. It's on your body every day. You want something sturdy that isn't going to damage your skin.

Agreed. This whole post is confusing. Who negotiates the terms of a relationship? Relationships at their core are very simple. They don't require "rules." We are all looking for someone who loves, cares, and respects us. Every action a man takes should fall into one of those things. Is it loving, caring, respectful to my partner? If not, then he's doing something wrong.

I had the same experience working in labor and delivery. The contrast between loving and supporting fathers to men who couldn't give a fuck was incredible. A woman goes through so much when she gives birth. If her partner isn't there making sure she is safe, comfortable, and supported, what is the point? On the plus side, men times when the men failed to step up, there was always a group of women to support the mother, whether it was sisters, moms, friends, midwives, or nurses.

With any physical appearance, it's all about confidence. If you feel shy or bothered by your looks, men will feel that as well. It's a "fake it till you make it sort of thing." Even if you might not be confident about your appearance, pretend to be. That will change how others perceive you.

If he is concerned, he should still go to a doctor to rule out an "organic" cause of ED. If he is embarrassed about this, he should not be. This is one of the MOST COMMON reasons that men visit a doctor. They are all very concerned about their erections! If there isn't an underlying health issue that they find (they might have to blood tests to determine), then it's most likely porn. The only problem here is he denies using porn. But you could possibly ask him to stop masturbating, if he admits …

Matchmaking is huge in my community (for both religious and non-religious). I found a matchmaker in the big metropolitan city I was living in. She let me join for free because she liked my profile (basically, I was a young, attractive, and successful woman, so she knew a lot of men would be interested in meeting me). She made me fill out a questionnaire about details about myself, and what I'm looking for in a partner. Then she sent me profiles of men. They were all men who were interested in me…

Monogamy is for men. Even anthropologically speaking; when access to mates is scarce, animals are more likely to be monogamous, because it leads to more consistent sex than going out and finding a new mate each time. That's why men are idiots. If they want a lot of sex, the best way to do it is 1 consistent partner.

A FWB is a causal relationship. You're basically just there to have sex. And like others have said, no "HVM" would agree to that. You're both just using each other. And, if you are a "demisexual" (I don't think this is a real sexuality; just a reaction to the pornsick mentality that permeates culture these days), then you will want something more fulfilling that having sex with someone who doesn't care about you more than just having sex.

Remove distractions. For example, if you have a TV in the bedroom turn it off at night. Encourage him... say things like "I find it soo hot when you..." I agree with the other poster about feminine energy as well. Things like giving a guy a sweet look, being flirty, giving light kisses, etc should get him going. Not just dopamine. Oxytocin is also released, which is the same hormone released when a mother breast feeds her baby. It enforces pair bonding. I've found that guys that are interested will ask by the end of the first date. However this also isn't a guarantee; they will text to confirm that night or next day.

How is he a HVM? Just because he's a surgeon? Because right now I don't see anything High Value about him. Is he pursuing you? Courting you? Or is he just trying to bang?

I'm a female health care provider, and I've had male patients ask me to check their genitals (not part of my job), tell me they're getting an erection from my physical exam, or try to grab me while I am examining them. No one really talks about this.

Who the hell dates in Hooters? That'd be an automatic no from me..
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/01/20 04:26 PM

I think they're just trying to get a general idea of where you live. I know when I was living in NYC, guys would ask that to know what borough I was in.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/01/20 04:23 PM

Yeah, they don't care. They just like the position of power they have and use it to their advantage to harass women.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/12/19 08:17 PM
16

Why do you even have to do this? You'll know from your interactions with a guy .. no need to test them. For example, I recently got my period.. was having really bad cramps and laying in bed because of it. My boyfriend asked me what was wrong, and then he said he would give me a massage to help ease the pain. I didn't even ask him to do that; he offered it on his own.

Only date men you are attracted to. Society pressures women not to care about looks, but the end of the day we are sexual beings as well. Who wants to have sex with a man they are not attracted to?

I love cooking with my boyfriend. One of my favorite parts of the relationship. We take turns cooking for each other too. BUT, I would never do a cooking date early on when dating. Cooking dates are just an excuse to have sex to a man. A measly home cooked meal is no reason to have sex with someone.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/12/19 05:02 PM

I actually experienced this. Matched with a guy who didn't know I was roommates with his best friends wife in college. We were texting normally when all of a sudden he sent me some very sexual and inappropiate messages. I called him out on it and asked him if he would've sent that to me if he knew I was friends with his best friend's wife. He admitted he wouldn't and he begged me not to tell them about his behavior. He was pretty terrified of me ruining his reputation among his friends.

Yeah this is just what I posted. Same men but they treat women differently based on what app they matched on.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/12/19 06:31 AM
15

I agree with you that most dating apps have the same pool of men. However, there is some (unfortunate) truth that they will treat you differently depending on which app they meet you on. For example, tinder is known as a hook up app so most guys will think you are just looking to hook up too.

For men in my professional field (medicine), women make so many excuses. "He can't see me, he doesn't text me.. because he is busy!" The thing is, those of us who want to be with someone, will make time for them. They will take time off from studying, they will use their free weekends to see them, and they are capable of sending a few texts in the day if they want to. Many young medical professionals get engaged and married. So yeah, if he's not making effort, it means he doesn't want to. Don't …

No one is gonna be judging your labia like that. Especially if he loves you for who you are. I have asymmetrical breasts and I used to want to get implants because of it. Now I just act like I'm confident and don't care and I think that translates more to men liking it. I would never get implants now.

I would NOT do this at all. Men either say they are feminist to trick you into hooking up with them, or because they think feminist means "will hook up without consequences, supports porn, and wants to pay my bills." I'd actively avoid men who say they are feminist. Rather ask a man his idea on certain topics that are important to me, and see how he treats and talks about other women. Then you know a man's true character.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/12/19 12:56 PM

Because unfortunately men decide when we are "exclusive" or "in a relationship." If he does not define it as one, then we do not have to treat it as one.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/12/19 11:43 PM
41

I would avoid men in the medical field. Most of them feel entitled and have an inflated ego. Read /r/medspouse if you want to see how they treat their girlfriends like shit. Not talking to them for days, not seeing them for weeks at a time, not committing, expecting the woman to cook and clean for them. I've dated multiple doctors and they were all fuckboys.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/12/19 10:49 PM

Wtf is their problem? She isnt dating any of them. Most people swipe right on a lot of people then weed out through their matches. It doesnt even mean shes gonna go on a date with any of them.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/12/19 04:13 PM
11

Yeah. Also could make you feel bad if his favorite porn star looks vastly different than you ..
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/12/19 03:02 PM
18

Good point. Here are some other signs before you start sleeping together: he follows porn/adult actress accounts on social media he talks about porn and how hot it would be to watch with a woman (many porn users I've dated have done this)
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/12/19 03:00 PM
18

I would not do this. Probably easier to ascertain from his sexual functioning. If he has ED in his 20s to 30s I'd assume he's watching too much porn (unless he has some other identifiable health problem).
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/12/19 01:35 PM

You guys live in the city and he can't even muster up the energy to take you out to a bar? Boy, bye.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/12/19 01:32 PM

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/12/19 01:25 PM

He spent a lot of money on you on the first date and thinks that makes him entitled to sex. Typical fuckboy behavior.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/12/19 01:23 PM
11

His attempt at backpedaling isn't even that good because he didn't even offer to take you out to a real date when you obviously didn't like his idea. I wouldn't respond to him again. Looks like you've said enough.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/12/19 11:28 PM
14

One thing I got out of this post is noticing that she had to even ask him if he was thinking about marriage. Every guy I've dated who was serious about me brought up marriage on his own or made little hints about it like he was thinking about it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/12/19 03:27 PM
26

Wtf? Even if he didnt call them hoes.. why the fuck is he telling you he's chatting up other women at what I assume is a bar? Bye bye, loser.

I had a guy ask me to his house to play board games as a first date. When I told him I was not comfortable doing that and we could play board games at a cafe instead, he retaliated similarly as this guy. Said something like: "Wow I don't know what happened in your life to make you not trust people but I see we are in different places."

Why would you marry for money though? Make your own money and don't be forced to rely on a man.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/12/19 02:42 PM

That's what I was thinking too. It's one thing to be obsessed with a guy who isn't into you and try to win him over.. but... flowers? That isn't even masculine. I don't think men would be into that?

To avoid feeling used, only give what you feel comfortable with. Don't be afraid to say no to men.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/12/19 09:48 AM

This has been going on forever. In the old days, any woman who disagreed some way with the men in her life or with the status quo were declared to have "hysteria" and put into mental institutions.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/12/19 09:04 AM
14

Yes, I stayed for him with months thinking "maybe this will be the time we have sex!" It never happened. I think he was either gay or had some erectile problems. Either way; if you aren't having sex and you don't know why, are you anything other than friends?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/12/19 02:10 AM

Depending on your religion there may be. There is a site for marriage minded Jewish people. It's also a match making service and I was given free access to it because the match maker thought I could be good match for some men. I found it pretty overwhelming though; the men on there wanted to commit really quickly. They seemed like genuinely good guys though, and all the ones I met through that site are now married.

You have control on how you want to answer that question. If you want to take it as a chance to say you are looking for a relationship, then say that. If you are hoping to strike up a convo on common interests (maybe his fav song is the same as yours? you thought something on his profile struck your eye?), then do that.
