Bet anything this was one of those, “marriage is just a piece of paper” idiots. Yeah, a piece of paper that gives you rights and financial ownership of half their crap… I’m constantly seeing girls doing this kind of stuff and when you question how wise it is they say they’re essentially married or have a common law marriage while living in a state that doesn’t recognize common law marriages. I bet she wished they’d “made the government part of their relationship” now.

Then I’d tell them but I’d be sure to specify that “I’ve chosen not to have sex” due to this reason. What I encountered as a late virgin wasn’t that men got excited about it, but that it freaked them out. They felt it was too much pressure or that I must be a weirdo or have something wrong with me. I think they would have found me less bizarre if I’d said it was a conscious choice for moral reasons, as in, waiting for marriage, but for me I just simply had a hard time meeting anyone because I’m …

Before my marriage I was voluntarily celibate and actually didn’t lose my virginity until my thirties. I found that pushing that energy into other avenues helped me, and despite what other people are saying it helped me to not masterbate. I found that if I pushed that urge down and didn’t use it then that part of myself went dormant.

My husband :) When his sister’s LV Husband left her, he stepped up and was there for her and his niece. Never once blamed her or stuck up for the ex. Maybe he blamed her a bit for being with the guy to begin with… I have chronic migraines. He’s always looking for and buying products that he thinks might help with the pain. Doesn’t talk badly about his ex-wife even though she hurt him. Says he’s proud of her for living authentically (she left him for a woman after admitting to hiding being a lesb…

I haven’t watched it because I’m a history snob and know I won’t be able to handle all the historical inaccuracies, but my immediate suspicion is that this genuine porn maker is saying this to try and equate the show with hardcore porn so that the millions of women who watch and enjoy the show will think, “well, this isn’t so bad, maybe the real stuff is harmless too.”

I’d bring up marriage in an off hand way maybe, and then say: “I wouldn’t date anyone more than two years without an engagement.” That way he heard it in an innocent way and the ball is in his court. I definitely think it’s an accident though to date a man for years without letting him know your intentions and time frame for those to occur and I don’t think that’s an “ultimatum”, it’s healthy communication. I think women are told things are ultimatums all the time so we lower our expectations an…

The most you should do is at the very beginning of dating state that you want marriage and will not date long term without an engagement and marriage, then give a rough estimate to when you think it should occur. Then never mention it again. But when that time comes, if he hasn’t proposed you’ve got to woman up and leave his ass.

This is interesting from a sociological point of view. Is a 71 year old still “looking hot” empowering or is it sad that she’s still striving to conform to male approved beauty standards? As someone who’s fought my weight my entire life, I know what happens to women when all of a sudden they’re not conforming. Society is swift in its refusal to acknowledge you as a human, you essentially become invincible. I imagine this is extremely hard for women as they age, especially if they always did mana…

The group in power can not be marginalized; that’s not how sociology works. What people see when they see “misandry” is the victimized group lashing out in anger and anxiety, there’s no real power behind it; it’s not systemic and therefore lacks any real bite. If you’re a member of the dominate group and someone from the group your group has mistreated lashes out, the proper thing to do is recognize that anger as legitimate due to history, then shut up and listen. Any man whining about misandry …

I’m always astounded by this idea. I’m an introvert, so maybe it’s just me, but who wants to sit and talk to a stranger for an hour just for a free meal? Would men do this? Is that why they insist on thinking it’s a thing? Maybe if he was taking me to a multi starred place that was impossible to get into, but we can eat at Applebee’s bro. Or do they think we make so little money that we can’t afford food?

Some of my communication red flags: “Good morning beautiful” -this is generic, lazy, and sveeky. Bad spelling and/or lazy punctuation- this shows a lack of effort, if he’s talking to his dream girl I guarantee he’d spell things out fully and use complete sentences. Not returning a text within 3 hours. People bring their phones to the toilet. The longest I’ll allow is three hours because that’s the longest a movie or work without a break might be.

Probably not legally but only because our justice system is terrible and favors men. In my opinion any sex without informed consent counts as rape; that not only includes this but anytime a scrote pretends like he wants a relationship when he just wants sex.

When I was dating my husband I snooped until I found his W2. I recommend all women do this. Make sure he’s being equitable, not equal. This girl should leave him, he’s a stingy cheap ass. I also just recommend snooping in general all the time even once you’re married. I’m sure there are a lot of dead women that’d be alive today if they had done a good snoop every now and again. Vetting for high quality dates is so important. People think it’s about being a “gold digger” but that’s not it at all, what it is, is any man would plan a great date for his dream girl, but for a girl he’s just sort of meh about or if he’s not truly looking for a relationship, he’d be blasé about the date. It doesn’t vet for men with money, it vets for men who either aren’t that into you, or who aren’t really wanting a committed thing. I guarantee if this dude wanted a relationship and if OP wa…

My weight has fluctuated my entire life. It’s wild how as I go up and down from a size 12 to 20 how the way men treat me changes, whereas women will treat me more or less the same. But let’s say I’d never gone above a 12 in my life, than I might would be naive enough to think most men are friendly and gentlemanly because I wouldn’t know any better. I’m betting the kids mother either would not have got a smoothie, knowing the heightened risk of cross contamination at a smoothie place, or would have gone in and spoke clearly to someone that it’s an allergy issue and is super important and then watched the smoothie being made, and then tasted it herself. They get so caught up on us thinking we’re trying to get a free meal, which is weird as fuck anyways seeing as how most adult women can afford to feed theirselves, it’s about that fact that even the most “50/50” man alive if on a date with his dream woman will immediately pay. It’s such a ridiculous argument and it’s exhausting hearing it all the time. Yes, a man might be robbed, maybe shot or stabbed, maybe even killed but he won’t be DEHUMANIZED first. His last thought will be, “well this fucking sucks,” instead of abject horror at a deeply traumatic dehumanizing mortifying depraved act. In my first “real” job, my boss (who was a woman) would do smiling exercises with me prior to my shift starting everyday. Now at work if someone says something about my RBF I immediately ask if they’d talk to a man about this issue as well, they always say they would, so then I follow up by saying that I don’t believe that and that I feel this is gendered work harassment, when I say that they lay off of me.

I just can’t wrap my head around this. I’m 39. I feel nothing sexual whatsoever when I look at men younger than like 30 at the youngest and that’s pushing it. They might would be simple if they even knew what they wanted. The wild thing about men is they do bizarre shit all the time that makes no sense and regularly hurts them. They’ll break up with the woman of their dreams and marry one they don’t even like. That might be “simply stupid” but it’s sure as hell not simple to understand.

I’ve noticed the scammers I get are ok handsome but look just like regular men more or less. The scam is usually some awesome job, like he’s an engineer or a general in the military. This shows how different men and women are: they value things in a partner that exist incidentally (beauty and youth is happen chance) whereas women value hard work and ambition (things that person has actually achieved). There is no such thing as “toxic femininity” that’s not a thing, any toxicity seen in feminine circles is a result of the patriarchy. “Toxic femininity” It is just toxic patriarchy and internalized misogyny manifesting itself in some form amongst women. There isn’t any I don’t agree with but I recognize that some of them are difficult or not very pragmatic. I moved in with my fiancé before our engagement. I had money set aside in case I needed to leave and was confident an engagement was coming. My weight fluctuates a lot, being fat is the easiest way to see how men see women. It’s staggering how truly hateful they are to you if you’re fat and for no reason, like just living your life, minding your business and they loathe you. They only respect women in their capacity to do something for their dicks. If she isn’t attractive to men then she is deemed worthless and so why should she be treated with humanity? It was held together with hope and rope in a few places, every light on the dash board was lit up, was nearly as old as me, etc. He knew as soon as I saw it he had been found out because he started in on how he l…

What gets me is not all of these are cheap. Theme parks, boating, horseback riding, all very expensive “dates”. There seems to be this issue with men where they HAVE to have an activity built into all social encounters. They’re incapable of simply sitting down across from another human being over a meal and having open honest communication, instead there has to be some type of physical activity to rely on so they’re not forced to use any emotional intelligence. You see this with their friendship…

Yep. Cool girls also get theirselves or the people around them (often their own children) hurt or killed. Cool girl isn’t just eating hotdogs and watching football, it’s being ok with him dealing drugs, having issues with the police, having alcohol or drug issues, carrying firearms in an unsafe manner, being involved in gang violence, etc. There’s a dark side to cool girl. So many women love watching crime documentaries and worry about some sicko like Ted Bundy getting them when it’ll actually b…

I’ve seen this several times on TikTok. These girls are idiots. Ok, yes IF you have a back up plan, IF you have an education, IF you have an amazing resume, fine maybe take a work break, or work less, but be ready at all times for any man to fuck you over. Some of them aren’t even married but girlfriends. I hope they have money in a savings account somewhere or like rich parents.

Dating and relationships just keep getting worse and worse for women in modern society. First, you’re a prude if you don’t put out third date, then marriage is “just a piece of paper” and you’re old fashioned if you want that legal commitment, now what our daughters generation will have to deal with is this: they won’t even get monogamy, they’ll be told that they’re toxic if they don’t agree to poly relationships.

Find me one, just one, sex worker that doesn’t have a drug or alcohol problem, who is mentally healthy, who isn’t a struggling single mother with no marketable skills to make money with, and who wasn’t diddled as a kid or raped. All of them will have at least one, but probably more than one of those things. Find me one with none of those things. It’s probably not possible, because no healthy sane woman who is not desperate would ever do this shit. Maybe some super light sex work ok, like titty p…

Yeah, BS. No woman is going to give a man she’s dating her secret FDS account. Hell, I didn’t even give my fiancé my main Reddit account that I don’t even post on FDS with. I have a dummy account just for him where I talk about like makeup and shit.

I dated an Iranian man for several months a couple of years ago. He looked like Kohl Drogo, was super good at sex, and was rich, but he was fucking psycho. I blocked him one day after he threw his stereo across the room. I must have kept an eye over my shoulder for that asshole for 3 months. Fortunately I gave him a fake last name. Something told me not to tell him my real name. I also never told him my address. His temper aside, my issues with him were that whenever his family called and it was…

I totally understand where she’s coming from. I personally think it’s tacky as hell when someone has a giant “diamond” that isn’t natural but is really lab grown or moissanite. I feel like that’s probably where he’s coming from. She knows he couldn’t have got a natural diamond that large for less than 20k. It’s like carrying a really good fake designer bag. It just seems disingenuous. She’s not being a gold digger. She just wants the natural diamond that he can afford, not the one to trick peopl…

I wasn’t raised by a single mother but my mother did have borderline personality disorder, which primarily affects women. I’m in several support groups for people raised by mothers with BPD. And I get it, it’s traumatic to be raised by women with BPD, but I also feel like if she had got the support she needed as a little girl and as a wife and mother it wouldn’t have got as severe as it did.

Even a HVM would need to unpack his privilege and accept radical feminism, not even liberal feminism, in order to embrace FDS theories. I mean even women who claim to be feminists don’t like FDS. My fiancé is very liberal, much more so than me on things regarding racial and economic issues but is no where near where I am on the feminist movement.

I’d also like to point out as a nurse who has worked in elder care that sons rarely provide the same care and support that daughters do. This also overlooks the fact that the greatest protector of anyone is wealth, not big muscles. You know what keeps me most super safe?..I live in an expensive area and have a high tech alarm system. Those big scary muscles aren’t a lot of good in the projects or a single wide trailer, nor are they helping me if my car is constantly breaking down on the freeway.

Women don’t go to college to get a man. Men don’t give a damn if a woman is a moron or highly educated, all they care about is how she looks on their arm and how sweet she is, i.e., how much bullshit she will endure. And those qualities have little to do with how educated she is, in fact I’d wager that the more educated she is the less suitable she is for most men. Women go to college because the days of depending on men are over, if they ever even existed.

My weight has fluctuated a lot through out my life. This is when you REALLY see pretty privilege at work. Having a yo yo weight issue means it’s like you’re a spy or like you have a magic power to see how truly despicable people are to women that aren’t conventionally attractive. And what’s really alarming and has always sort of unnerved me is that women who have always been conventionally attractive may never learn how truly awful men can be because when you’re doing something for their dicks y…

I don’t know how I feel about attachment theory to be honest. I feel like there are probably A LOT of women walking around right now that have been told they have an anxious attachment for daring to ask for the bare minimum from their partners and rightfully developing anxiety and worry when he refused to meet that. Everything is a scam. Houses cost too much, cars cost too much, etc. men never think those things are unfairly priced. I don’t understand the obsession with diamonds being a scam because the idea is that we aren’t going to try and resale it later. Hopefully I’ll have it forever. They only obsess about the cost of diamonds because they’re something women want. I would place weddings in the same situation. I was a late bloomer. I’d like to dispel the myth that women are praised for being virgins. When they’re young yes, but at a certain age it becomes a liability. Too many and you’re a whore, too few and you’re a weirdo. I also can’t say for certain where that line is. I just know around my mid-20’s I noticed that I had become a “freak”. My primary issue why I’d not do it is this: there can be only one HBIC and she will be me. I’m not sharing any decision making regarding any household ideas with another woman. If I’m responsible even partly for children I would raise them how I want. Step parents will simply never have that same right. They have all of the responsibility but little power to shape this person, especially the step-mom. I can see where a step-dad would have a lot more sway.

I didn’t watch the original series. Was it as poorly written as this one? The conversations seem forced and awkward between the characters but there is also a lot of heavy handed “woke” stuff that feels intentional, I’m assuming to placate buzzfeed, Twitter etc. but it makes it feel artificial. I also can’t tell if we’re supposed to like Carrie’s boss or not? I feel like we are but I’m sorry anyone who randomly smokes pot in a lift with someone or at a funeral is a trash person. Considering how much more men often earn than women in their lifetimes I’d say it’s rarely a financial risk for the woman. I’d say the bigger concern are the studies highlighting how much happier childfree single women profess to be than married mothers. I’d possibly attribute that to motherhood though and wonder how that would even out if only looked at married childfree women? I will agree though that marriage is first and foremost a legal contract. It’s absurd when people say it’s “just a pie…

My fiancé pulls this shit to some degree when we’re traveling in big cities. He tries to gaslight me into believing that we’re safer in a big city than a small rural town and then starts spouting bullshit statistics to me. I’m from a small rural town and he’s not. I think he genuinely feels more safe in big cities, but a lot of the statistics he looks at aren’t taking things like random attacks or violent crime into account. Consider the leg up men have in the world. There is no reason barring physical or mental disability why a 40 year old man shouldn’t be at least a little successful considering the privileges that simply being a man has for them. IG and FB are owned by same company. They censor and ban women all the time for saying anything even remotely negative about men. On FB you literally have to use “Nem” instead of men or type “m*n” to scramble their algorithm if you’re saying something even remotely negative about men. I’ve tested it on FB. Typed “women are trash” vs. “men are trash” and the second one was censored, while the first was left alone.

Marriage ultimatums are where I find I get the biggest push back from people.
