For the love of god. I wish it was the wild west so she could put his ass down like a rabid dog and get away with it.

I find it rude and socially unintelligent for someone to find that weird? Sending a normal, small-talk style message to the best friend of your SO that you’ve been dating for 2+ years? Whats the big deal? Why be so judgmental? The woman was just tryna be nice.

Yes! A language barrier and cute accent can make them seem way more innocent than reality.

Only TWO years in prison? What the FUCK? Why not LIFE? He murdered her.

I agree she was a terrible person, but I strongly disagree that Shannan and the kids would be alive if she wasn’t in the picture. Family killers are extremely disturbed and no woman can convince a man to do that. He probably would have done it anyway for any other reason. Thats a very heavy thing to blame someone for. I’m also not liking how some of these comments are claiming Shannan was a controlling psycho... yeah she was a strong opinionated woman who liked to post on social media a lot, so …

“Brutal honesty” is for people who like to be rude then judge you for your natural aversion to their cruelty🙄 You can be honest with someone without talking down to them

FDS made me realize that I am enough, and was always enough! And instead of constantly trying to be “good enough” for people I should instead be asking if they’re right for ME. And that if a guy doesn’t act right in the beginning, he NEVER will, so don’t waste my time!

You don’t have to feel bad! You are not your thoughts, you are your actions! If you choose to do the right thing and only lift people up then you have nothing to be worried about.

Yes! Of course we all have negative thoughts sometime but I try to make it a rule to only say positive things about people’s appearances. Saying negative things about someones looks (especially teeth, skin, and weight) is just tacky, even if you’re having a vicious argument with them. The only “negative” things that should be politely pointed out is stuff like food stuck in teeth/underwear showing.

You are incredibly strong! You handled both these traumatizing events with such strength and grace. The way this shit isn’t taken seriously is disgusting. This kind of stuff happens all the time and gets brushed off leading to RAPES and MURDERS. Or girls report their abusive boyfriend and the cops don’t listen and he ends up killing her :/ agree with an above commenter, we need a revolution. And your boss doesn’t deserve his career🙄

I’m dyingg at “poor pussy management.” Vulgar but true, they’re very powerful and we need to treat ours with respect! Sex is a way bigger deal than people make it out to be and is 1000 times riskier for women.

Yes maam! Not all men but the vast, VAST majority, we’re talking 95%+

Great post, its like you read my mind. And I’ll let you know when I figure it out🙄 Maybe its good to be a little bit angry, it reminds you to stay vigilant and keeps you safe.

Porn and this disturbing sex work culture is harmful to everyone. When I was only about 18 years old and working at restaurants I had MULTIPLE men both young and old tell me nasty things like “you should just get a sugar daddy” when I would talk about my career dreams. Excuse me, what makes you think thats even a fucking option for me? That I would even consider that? The extreme sexualization of our culture makes them objectify women even more than they already do naturally.

They force us to view them as the enemy when even the ones closest to us harass us, abuse us, make us feel unsafe... :/

Can you report him? Romeo and Juliet laws don’t even apply here because he’s so old. Thats absolutely disgusting! Do her parents/any other trusted adults that she has a good relationship with know about it?

I couldn’t be friends with someone like that either because I wouldn’t be able to resist the urge to viciously bully their abusive parasite of a boyfriend 🤷‍♀️ then they’d get mad at me for it and our friendship would end

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting a man with money. I don’t expect to find a RICH guy, but I at least want one who has enough to be comfortable, and has the ambition to try and make more through further education/side hustles. I’m still super young but I’m getting a useful degree because I refuse to spend my adult years unable to live my life the way I want to.

You weren’t pathetic, you were abused! The burden of shame belongs to the one who acted shamefully, not the victim. I know its hard to really internalize this but it’s the truth. A wealthy guy giving you rice money is just an overt “fuck you” 🙄

Money to buy.... rice?? 💀💀So he just gave you like 10 bucks and told you to buy rice? What a piece of shit

Don’t feel bad! I’m born and raised in the south and its either worthless misogynistic rednecks who get arrested for domestic violence and public intoxication, or genuine hardworking family-oriented guys. 0 to 100.

I want to say I’m so sorry this happened to you, and you are incredibly strong. You still have value and your life is NOT ruined. I’m so glad your attempt failed last June, and the fact that you are as well means you still have that motivation and strength in you. You need to immediately block your ex obviously, and if I were you I’d completely delete any online dating profiles since you’re just not ready for that, and you might meet a predatory man who will sense your current struggles. Sorry i…

From my understanding, it’s actually a red flag, because why didn’t any of his 4+ year relationships work out and progress to marriage?

You’re right, if it was me I’d want to know. Shes pretty, looks like a great person and has a good career, she could do much better. And shes in her late 20’s so its honestly evil for this “man” to be stringing her along like this when she clearly wants a marriage and family.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
