Hi ladies,

I hope this is appropriate for this sub, as I feel it would be beneficial to have a general discussion on this. I hope this is well-received, as I genuinely am seeking a way to change my thought process (sorry for anything poorly written here).

Ever since I have been realizing the truth about what has happened to our sex historically, and how much of that continues today (even in microaggressions), I cannot help but to literally hate men. This research started prior to FDS, but FDS just confirmed it for me (I thought it was always ME that was the problem, causing men to act this way, not speaking up enough, etc.).

It feels like no matter what man you talk to, he cannot be corrected or educated on these matters, and they always have a comment about how things have gotten much better over time. And they ask for examples, "play devil's advocate," etc. It makes everything all the more frustrating when you realize that the force you are up against literally has 0 self-awareness, and thus, will not change for themselves for the betterment of treatment of women (and therefore society as a whole).

This has made me not want to have any contact with any man whatsoever... For any reason. This is starting to change me as a person-- I work in a male dominated field (tech), and I have been feeling sick to my stomach in realizing how my behaviors have been shaped by men, and how men have appealed to even my subconscious to manipulate me in subtle ways (sometimes they may not even know they are doing it, embedded entitlement).

In some ways, I feel like I am just now discovering who I am, less the lense of men that I had no idea was there. I never want that lense to come back for which I measure myself and my life.

My question is: how do you not hate all men as a whole after all of these discoveries? I am struggling to cope with this. I try my best to not give it my energy (easy to do when a man point-blank harasses you, other obvious LVM behavior, etc.), but the overall treatment of women by men is absolutely unspeakable and appalling. Same with embedded systemic sexism. Need advice on how one possibly keeps on moving forward in life with this broad knowledge. How do I take responsibility for my life, and either stop hating men or stop thinking about how I hate men, and live my best life while men exist? They are here to stay, and I need to know how to live with them.

Thank you in advance for any advice... Stay safe.
