Or, an excuse to have a homoerotic moment with his best friend without it being "gay"

I personally have done a lot of reclaiming of the word 'bitch'. Usually I find it's kind of a last resort, catch all 'insult', but what you've actually told me is that I have successfully stood up for myself and you have nothing left on me except the hope that I've been brainwashed enough by that word to back down. For me, it's like the little mushroom Mario eats that makes him grow bigger.

No, they need to be humiliated because their behavior is humiliating. Do not coddle the emotions of these men who are disrespecting you.

Don't respond to the messages that aren't directly related to your job and make a complaint to your managers every single time you receive a message like that. Tell them you do not feel safe. Maybe ask to have your name changed on the server to something more gender neutral

"call you out, for what?" That's it right there. For what? You think "calling him out" is gonna snap him into a perfect man? He's gonna go " Oh man, she figured it out! Wow! I wasn't doing it on purpose, oh no, I was just being foolish the woman of my dreams is before me!! My love!" For what?

Once when I was 17, my family sent me to California for a couple weeks in the summer to spend time with my cousins. My brother (14 at the time) stayed at home with my parents. While I was in California, my cousins and I decided to dye my hair a mix of purple and dark red. I was thinking it would wash out, but of course it didn't, and I knew my mom would be pissed because I had senior photos to take once I got home. Well, while I was in California, my brother and his friends decided it would be a…

I'll never date a man addicted to video games ever again. If a man even owns more than three, I'm out. I cannot watch another moment of a guy playing video games.

Cuz they don't want to have to admit out loud that they pressure women into having sex without condoms. They're afraid they might actually be positive for something and, lord forbid, there might be some consequences.

Yes! I told a guy once I wouldn't be his sugar baby and then he asked if we could just hook up. I'm like.... If I wasn't gonna have sex with you for money what makes you think doing it for free is a yes?

This definitely opened my eyes to some behavior in my past that I have regretted because it made me look like the abusive or crazy one, and nobody ever believes that you've been pushed to act that way. This revelation has allowed me to look back on those actions and understand that, while they were still my own, I was pushed to react that way and can control my situations better now.

I do something similar; instead of saying "he, or she" with that extra patronizing tone placed on "or she!", I flip it around and give that condescending sound to the "or he," bit. People's faces as they make the connection to how demeaning it sounds, I truly enjoy it. "when the doctor comes in, she - or he! - will help answer your questions"

Oh because they know that if we started holding them to even a fraction of the ridiculous double standards they hold us to, none of them would survive.

It's because men aren't brainwashed into believing that their looks are the only things that matter. Women are socialized to have good hygiene and skin care, while men have been socialized to think that any kind of effort put into your looks makes you gay. This isn't just about genetics either. Some women don't even smile authentically because they're worried about the wrinkles they'll have later, and men can't even drink water without bitching.

I took birth control from 17 to 25, I almost died from a blood clot in my leg from hip to ankle they believe to have been at least partially caused by my taking the same birth control for so long. It's been almost two years without it now and I'm still learning about how my body naturally functions. I experienced ovulation cramps for the first time last month, and l am still trying to track and learn about my emotional and mental fluctuations around my period as well. It's been a process, and I'…

One day I was thinking about what I saw my future to be like and as I was picturing it, something stood out to me. There was not a man in any of my plans or dreams. Never once did it cross my mind like oh it would be so nice to have a man for this or that. In fact, when I try to picture a man with me, my dreams are not as bright. I truly do not believe it is worth the time, effort or stress. Maybe one day a man will prove me wrong but I doubt it and I won't be holding my breath.

Not a movie, but if a guy has watched Breaking Bad and he says he doesn't like Skyler White (the wife), I'm stuffing breadsticks in my purse and thinking of an excuse to leave. That show was so huge for a while it was really the easiest way to tell if a dude was misogynistic right off the bat.

Wow. I've dated a whole slew of guys who are absolutely addicted to video games and of course I could never put my finger on it exactly and why it annoyed me so much.. I always thought it was because I wasn't raised on video games that I just didn't understand the appeal, other than not knowing how to play. I thought I just didn't get into it young enough, but it's clear now that those who did get into it young have just had a longer time to be addicted. I've definitely been that pickmesha that …

It's like.... When you decide to watch your favorite childhood movie when you get really sick and have to stay on the couch all day. It's comforting and familiar and you know how it'll end. Same here. He's stuck at home, alone, can't be bothered to put in the effort to start something new so he's going back to what's comfy and familiar. Don't let him. Don't even respond, just block him.

What the question really is, is are you willing to put yourself in a box, cut yourself down, make yourself smaller and quieter forever, for a man who has never even considered what changing himself might be like?

My real awakening was when I was 17 I went to California to stay with some family friends. While I was there, my friends dyed my blonde hair purple and red, just mere weeks before senior photos. Back home, my brother (14 att) and his friends all got shit faced in the basement of our home. They were all blackout, upwards of 10 shots each of vodka and tequila EACH, one boy had alcohol poisoning and had to be taken away in an ambulance. My father was prepping himself to spend a night in jail becaus…

I was catcalled once, dragging my ass into the ER in sweats with a bucket full of vomit clutched in my arms. I knew then, that it wasn't about what I looked like, only that I was a woman.

This whole story is actually kind of uplifting because it's about a man who married a woman, had kids with her and she leveled up and left his ass when she realized she was speaking to a brick wall . He was depressed he was useless and then he gets hit with the reality. It's sad, of course, because he's only one dude when there are millions who could use to see the light the way this man did, but he comes to the correct conclusion. It's also sad because, like, it's such an obvious logical conclu…

During my pickmeisha days, I just wanted to feel loved, deeply unconditionally loved. I spent all my time and energy trying to give unconditional love hoping I might eventually get some back. Even specifically looking for guys who already loved someone like me, hoping that they would just like... Fall into it easily. It wasn't until after several failed, dead end relationships, a million of what seemed to be the same argument, and continually giving away love I never got back, I finally realized…

I feel like the wife is the only one to be pitied here, she clearly doesn't have enough self respect to leave a man who obviously doesn't care about her. She's also still trying to influence this man and make him feel bad about something he probably does all the time, and she will never ever win this argument. Men do what they do and it's disgusting and you either have to take advantage of their idiocy or ignore them. This poor woman is still trying to convince herself that she can change this m…

I really think it's because women of this generation were the first to kind of be taught "Girl Power" when we were young, but the boys have been raised exactly like their fathers and grandfather's before them. There's a huge dissonance between the sexes and what they have been raised to expect from the other, and men think they can bully us back into those older mindsets instead of, idk, embracing change and bettering themselves.

It's so frustrating when people think this shit is funny or cute. At best, this boy is a total dipshit, at worst, it's planned helplessness so that he's not asked to do things like this again.

I think most feminists are afraid to say they hate men because they ultimately still want to be with a man, an idealized man who doesn't exist, sure. I think feminists need to start saying we hate men, we need to admit that in order for men to change they need some pressure, really, from other men. We have to say they all suck we have to say we hate how they are in order for them to do anything. Feminists are afraid to admit that men aren't going to change because women have started putting thei…
