I'm as pro men's rights as any of us, but I don't believe the Canada Child Benefit is awarded just to women or favours women in any way. One of my best friends has kids and it goes into his account. These actions were undertaken based on sex, where the men get a significantly worse punishment than the women do. That's discrimination on the basis of being the male sex, aka, sexism against men, and that's why it has to do with men's right. It's a completely logical train of thought. You're confused or willfully misunderstanding. Many people who upvoted this post, including me, don't care about whether the costumes match the comics. The issue is that female actors and journalists complain about being/feeling sexualized/objectified while overtly and provably engaging in that same behaviour toward male actors. People keep parroting the notion that sexism is not discrimination based on sex, but is discrimination + being part of an oppressed class (ie, women). No, as a graduate student in Ontario looking to go to professional school, it's significantly more than 4:6 in several of those fields. Pharmacy is 2:8, for example. Law is 3:7. They may be able to capitalize on financial incentives, though. Hire a proportion of women/minorities and receive a federal bonus or tax credit or some such. I tend to agree with your sentiment that hiring non-optimal employees is a selection pressure that should weed these companies out over time, but the playing field may change to benefit these companies given the social justice climate. I may just be paranoid though...

As a current graduate student at the most STEM-focused university in Canada, yes they are. Girls coming from high school are incentivized to join engineering programs with over $15,000 in scholarships. Male students do not and have never had access to those same scholarships. It's a co-op school, and I will do some digging in a couple months (post-thesis) to see what the hiring practices are and discuss them here. Also, anecdotal evidence is not helpful, and that goes for both you and me.

It's really not easy to be an MRA in any meaningful way. There's a sense of cultural shame associated with it.
