I remember at university, I was in a literature class. Somehow feminism came up, and the professor (woman) asked "Who in here is a feminist?" And naturally everyone raised their hand. In all levels of education (especially post-secondary), being a "feminist" is a token gesture of appearing civilized. If you don't go along with it, you are a pariah.
