I have only ever slept with my SO...I have a friend who is still with her SO from high school and it's been almost 10 years since school. She has no regrets or feels like she missed out by only being with him. My current SO is the only person I've ever been with and when I thought I was missing out on something it usually stemmed from a different issue that was fixable. The feeling will most likely pass. | /r/RedPillWomen | 22/04/15 07:12 PM
Women in Western Countries - Do you Feel Like A Lot of Claims About Sexism Against Women Are Made Up or Real?I agree that most Feminist issues are upper middle class white people problems which is why mainstream feminism doesn't appeal to me because I don't fit that description. But at the same time i still self-identify as a feminist because it's such a broad umbrella term that it can stand for so many things (which kind of makes it a little more pointless without more of a clear definition tbh). I think a lot of the oppression being claimed is social rather than actual? like, it's there if you're loo… | /r/RedPillWomen | 17/04/15 12:24 PM
10,000 Subscribers! Lurkers, come say hi!I don't remember the exact thread i found but I will try to link it here for you if i find it. I think i typed in Meyers Briggs into the RPW search and a few threads came up about it. It is quite interesting :-) | /r/RedPillWomen | 14/04/15 04:36 PM
Showed insecurity ... how do I fix this?I've been dealing with a similar insecurity. My SO and his ex were never engaged but they were each others first loves and were extremely close. They still talk on occasion and it used to drive me crazy and make me really insecure. I used to complain about it to him every time I saw her name. I trusted that nothing physical would ever happen but I was terrified that they would stay emotionally connected. And it was actually something I read on this sub that helped me let it go. I had to trust in… | /r/RedPillWomen | 07/04/15 05:01 PM
10,000 Subscribers! Lurkers, come say hi!Hello (again)! I wanted to redo my intro now that I've been here for at least a week. I kept going back and forth if I really wanted to subscribe because I identify and relate to both feminism (egalitarian maybe?) and RPW and it was causing some confusion. Now, I just don't worry about trying to put a label on it and come here for the advice that is relevant to me and/or my relationship. The advice here is really useful and appreciated (had a light bulb moment on more than one occasion). I will … | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/04/15 01:38 AM
Just a thought...No, i don't feel there is an obligation to work or to stay at home. It's whatever works for you and your SO and makes you both happy. If it were me, there may be a little guilt involved with getting a bunch of degrees and not using them, but I would get over it eventually. Finding happiness is more important imo. | /r/RedPillWomen | 31/03/15 09:09 PM
How to tell someone you have a boyfriendYou could send that to the ex. It will probably get ignored. Worth a try. Personally I would just ignore any and all contact. pretend like you don't see any of it. Silence is a response in itself. | /r/RedPillWomen | 30/03/15 06:54 PM
Bachelor Nation - 70% of Men 20-34 Not Married (and what that means for RPW)I think that is perfectly acceptable because you are religious. It makes sense. If the guy is religious he should understand and respect that. This only really works with very religious guys though. Many people claim to be religious (i'm thinking Christianity in particular) but have absolutely no issue with premarital sex. | /r/RedPillWomen | 30/03/15 04:42 PM
Bachelor Nation - 70% of Men 20-34 Not Married (and what that means for RPW)Divorce culture is the reason my SO cited about his issues with marriage so i told him about prenups and that I would not be opposed to signing one if it would make him more comfortable knowing his assets were protected. Prenups are like insurance, you hope you don't need it, but if you do you'll be so glad you did. I also agree that it leaves out cohabitation completely as a non-viable LTR/family arrangement. | /r/RedPillWomen | 30/03/15 04:39 PM
Bachelor Nation - 70% of Men 20-34 Not Married (and what that means for RPW)I agree. I think the hard thing to swallow is "Generation of women who don't want any man to tell them what to do". The association is that being told what to do is controlling or abusive but what I have learned on this subreddit is that if you're in a relationship with a GOOD man then it doesn't matter if he tells you what to do or not because your best interest should be one of his top priorities. But the initial reaction is to fight that notion because "I'm not a dog. i don't play fetch. I do… | /r/RedPillWomen | 30/03/15 03:54 PM
Bachelor Nation - 70% of Men 20-34 Not Married (and what that means for RPW)"All the article says is mostly 'men are opting out - crisis for women!!!' " You are correct and I think I fell into the trap of the above statement. | /r/RedPillWomen | 30/03/15 03:36 PM
Bachelor Nation - 70% of Men 20-34 Not Married (and what that means for RPW)I think that young women who aren't hooking up are more serious, and obviously from this article, most men aren't serious yet, if indeed they will ever be. I think this is where I got stuck in my thinking. Find a husband young is good. But if the young men aren't looking for a wife yet I think the serious young women tend to miss out unless they find someone older? I do agree that women don't start actively looking until late simply because many of us are told to focus on education first, men se… | /r/RedPillWomen | 30/03/15 03:17 PM
Bachelor Nation - 70% of Men 20-34 Not Married (and what that means for RPW)What stuck out to me was the parameters of intimate relationships being in the hands of men and how that translates to wanting sex before and/or without marriage. It also mentioned that women that stick to a moral code and don't participate in hook up culture are having a harder time finding a husband. How does that translate for RPW? | /r/RedPillWomen | 30/03/15 02:44 PM
How do you feel about the old saying "why buy the cow when you get the milk for free" and living with an SO before marriage?Speaking for myself, i've always got the feeling that no one really takes a relationship seriously unless it leads to marriage. Even if someone is together for 20+ years with or without kids the question still lingers, "so when are you getting married?" It's like the next level of love. Marriage is a sign of real commitment here. I'm not sure why but it's the feeling I always get when people talked about marriage. I think the mindset is starting to shift some but marriage is still seen as one of… | /r/RedPillWomen | 30/03/15 02:19 PM
How do you feel about the old saying "why buy the cow when you get the milk for free" and living with an SO before marriage?Took the words right out of my mouth. But I do also understand that marriage is special so for some the idea is that some things/privileges are for a husband and/or wife and if you give those privileges to your SO before marriage, what is left for being married? I've mostly encountered this idea with more religious persons in particular but i can definitely understand where they are coming from. I personally only see this saying becoming an issue for couples not on the same page about marriage t… | /r/RedPillWomen | 29/03/15 07:32 PM
Sex deal breakersYou bring up a good distinction between the two. I would add though that while sexual attraction is probably harder to create if it isn't already there, sexual compatibility is slightly more flexible. I think a lot of the time compatibility is learning what works and what doesn't which tends to be more of a communication thing. So IMO improving compatibility after marriage or long term commitment is completely possible. | /r/RedPillWomen | 29/03/15 04:36 PM
Sex deal breakersThat last statement is very enlightening actually. That actually leads me to a different question that is only sort of related. In RPW the biggest thing i've heard is never deny sex for something as simple as not being in the mood. Which I agree with but if not being in the mood leads to arousal issues is it then actually a physical attraction issue? And it's something deeper than just "Not being in the mood?" | /r/RedPillWomen | 28/03/15 05:09 PM
Sex deal breakersI see. Thanks for the response. I'm starting to realize how important the initial spark is. | /r/RedPillWomen | 28/03/15 03:17 PM
Sex deal breakersI agree. I like to think it can be worked on, and should be worked on, before deciding to call it quits. Also, being sexually attracted to the person is a huge deal. | /r/RedPillWomen | 28/03/15 03:08 PM
Sex deal breakersI see your point. poorly worded on my part. Waiting for exclusivity, LTR, or marriage is the reason I found this question interesting. Especially in cases where the issues are more physical, so to speak. When I say bad sex I think i'm thinking more specifically about size issues, pain, poor technique, inexperience etc. Which is why i'm underestimating how much physical attraction plays in all of this. Because you can be physically attracted to someone and the sex just isn't great (yet, because p… | /r/RedPillWomen | 28/03/15 03:06 PM
Sex deal breakersMakes sense. I do think it's easier for a man to deal with an inexperienced woman than the other way around. Sex is a learning and teaching experience for both partners. | /r/RedPillWomen | 27/03/15 08:43 PM
Sex deal breakersInterestingly enough my initial thoughts about the sweat situation is to feel like I was being shallow for breaking up over a bodily function that can't be controlled. But a relationship is about both partners being happy. It's not realistic or good to stay miserable trying to save hurt feelings. That's something I have trouble with. I'm naturally a very emotional feelings kind of person so i tend to avoid conflicts for fear of hurting feelings. So any time there was ever bad sex in my case it w… | /r/RedPillWomen | 27/03/15 05:29 PM
Sex deal breakersexcellent points. I guess if the bad sex can't be improved on at all it would probably become a deal breaker later on for sure. I was naively thinking that sex could always be improved, not realizing that some times it just doesn't. | /r/RedPillWomen | 27/03/15 04:47 PM
Sex deal breakerssexual chemistry definitely makes things a hell of a lot easier. | /r/RedPillWomen | 27/03/15 04:42 PM
Sex deal breakersI definitely think it makes a difference if the couple is married, dating, or trying for LTR. It kind of serves as a bit of a gauge too. If the sex is bad and you're more willing to work on it then you probably see long term potential, rather than simply jumping ship and finding someone you click sexually with automatically. | /r/RedPillWomen | 27/03/15 04:41 PM
Sex deal breakersI think bad sex becomes a deal breaker because it tends to lead to that dislike, disrespect, resentment of your SO as you mentioned. good point. No one wants to be cheated on. | /r/RedPillWomen | 27/03/15 04:37 PM
Sex deal breakersI agree that practice at least will have consistently favorable results. | /r/RedPillWomen | 27/03/15 04:35 PM
Too sensitive, Not sensitive enoughThank you! I need to keep this all in mind. I don't want to push him away or for me to let him go because I feel he's insensitive and i'm too sensitive. I'm embarrassed to say that I have said that a few times "I don't think we should be together because i'm too sensitive and you're too insensitive." He just told me I was silly, that I couldn't get rid of him that easily, and we could work it out. I think the other problem is a "culture of niceness"? or politeness maybe? That some things shouldn… | /r/RedPillWomen | 26/03/15 06:53 PM
Too sensitive, Not sensitive enoughA year? T_T I guess I set myself up thinking there would be a quick fix to this lol. I will do my best to think before I react and practice STFU. Yes, i'm finding that while his TJ with my FP can be excellent for balancing each other out at times, T and F clash. T usually wins out and F just feels unfairly treated. Thank you again. | /r/RedPillWomen | 26/03/15 06:14 PM
For a woman, how many sex partners is too many? Just Curious. It depends. I think anything in the double digits looks really bad for women. But I am also a little less judgmental if I know that there was a reason it is super high, like serious low self-esteem (by no means does it excuse it but i'm more understanding). Versus having lots of partners just for the hell of it. I think 5 and under is okay. | /r/RedPillWomen | 26/03/15 05:38 PM
Too sensitive, Not sensitive enoughThank you very much you have been very helpful. I can keep myself from saying anything but I have absolutely no poker face with him. He can tell immediately when something upset me even when I think i'm hiding it. Something always gives me away. He always knows. And he will ask if I am upset, and I usually lie and say no. What about if i say, "Yes, that upset me but I will get over it." is that too much? So that way i'm not lying but not making a huge deal about it either. | /r/RedPillWomen | 26/03/15 05:21 PM
Too sensitive, Not sensitive enoughappreciate the honesty. we've actually been together 2 years. I'm trying not to take everything so personally usually by not saying anything about it. And i don't think i was complaining about him, I tried to phrase it in a way to ask what I need to do to not react so defensively/butthurt. Is just not bringing it up a good solution? If something hurts my feelings just ignore it? EDIT: you're also right that usually whatever he says isn't to be mean, he's just being bluntly honest (and it comes o… | /r/RedPillWomen | 26/03/15 04:46 PM
Ladies, how do you feel about splitting the bill on dates?I prefer to take turns paying. To me it seems fair when you're only dating. If it's the first date I think the gentleman should pay, unless it's obvious there is not going to be a second date. It definitely makes a difference if one partner is in a completely different financial situation than the other as well as what point the relationship is. I'm not sure if it's because people are looking for things to be 50/50 during the courting/dating phase but I have noticed that if one partner ends of p… | /r/RedPillWomen | 26/03/15 04:26 PM
