You are going to be OK. I went through this several months ago myself. Got a two week notice that my wife had signed a lease after being with her for 10 years and two children. She left the family home which was no longer a home just a house according to her. The same house that she was making forever plans about months and even weeks before this. Making plans as to who is bringing what dishes for the holidays. Even admitted that she planned this to be before the holidays. Said that she couldn’t…

The best thing my wife ever did for me was discard me.. she is a narcissist.. through and through. She attempted to give me a two week notice and take the ultimate control. Except it backfired and I realized, with her gone I was a good fucking man. I have value and she is not a good person. She wanted me to disown my family. She wanted to isolate me more. She wanted to take the ultimate control. Instead I found out I am a good person. I have more to offer to thisWorld then she is willing to ever…

I dont really care.. its just a prediction.. she is in her mid 30s and still thinks everyone else is the problem in every situation.. she has caused multiple co workers to quit.. and has been reprimanded for her bullying and intimidation.. quality human right there

I know the feeling.. part of me still wants to fix it.. but the person who i thought was my wife doesnt exist.. she was never capable of considering my feelings or even my point of view.. i was merely a life accesory.. and once i was no longer of use, she became the strong independent divorcee.. HAHAHA! How brave! In actuality she is a coward.. who found it easier to throw away a chance at a beautiful family life.. she will be miserable and alone

Same brother! I just hope she didnt ruin my ability to truly trust anyone again.. because that’s how it feels.. not a poor me.. just my reality now.. we had a chance to be great.. but when someone isnt willing to work with you.. communicate openly or ever take any accountability, that is difficult… i surely wasn’t perfect, but have always admitted my faults and mistakes, and tried to correct those things.. but in her eyes, if she didnt admit to any wrongdoing or fault, she didnt need to change o…

Exactly.. i put everything in my name, house, cars, debt, in the name of love.. only to ultimately get a 2 week notice she was moving out.. thats all i was worth to her.. her threats and abusive tone continue.. but i don’t respond or react.. and i know its driving her nuts.. but it is what is best for my mental health

My wife has kept me miserable for too long.. sabotage at every attempt to be happy.. everything i ever did for myself was selfish.. the best thing she has ever done for me is ditch me.. im a WAY stronger and more confident man for it.. i am now officially a wild horse and i cant wait to chase some mares..lol.. i just have to find my lane for game.. fine tune it.. once i get whoever it is o desire to the bedroom, its a wrap.. she will be begging to see me more.. and that is the confidence ive alw…

That happened to me.. I remember trying to think of a way out now that we had moved in together… all the sudden.. she is pregnant.. it was an accident. Her topical antibiotic cream made the BC not work.. now i realize this is bullshit.. funny part is she now works in fertility.. helping women get pregnant.. good news for me she makes a good amount more than me.. she moved out of the marital home.. she is significantly less attractive compared to myself.. once i was no longer able to be controlle…

Very similar story here.. except she refused mediation.. i offered to pay for it. She makes significantly more than i do.. and we dont live together. After her speach about not loving me she gave me a 2 week notice she had signed a lease and was moving out.. my lawyer thinks im in a power position and after the hell ive been through the last 7 months.. i may just seek every penny i can from her.. she chose this.. reap what you sew..

Same!! Ignored too many red flags.. when we first started dating she suspected i was using drugs and demanded i take a drug test.. i was so ready to say fuck off.. i honestly dont know why i went through with it.. probably because i knew i was clean.. but that started the shit tests.. and they only grew from there.. the demand for control only got worse.. and i kept giving in to keep the peace.. happy wife happy life right? WRONG!!! never again!!

Agreed! I’m in the best shape I’ve been in ina while.. chicks in my inbox.. I get looks constantly and comments. I’m not super tall, but I’m doing ok.. Same man.. when I read the book on covert narcissism it was shocking.. I couldn’t believe it.. what led me there was me trying to figure out what had happened to me.. I found this kind fuck called intermittent reinforcement… and BPD/NPD kept coming up.. and even though years before I asked her several times if she actually loved me, and if she was a narcissist.. my wife is a covert to the maxi she is good to the kids, I can see the fakeness, they are young and can’t yet.. it’s sick to see her mi…

And honestly as dumb as it is.. I was willing to work with it.. all I asked is for her to own up to it.. not directly and waited for her to try to work on it.. never happened.. is it normal for a person, man or woman to literally be incapable of apologizing, ever? Is it normal for a person to feel like if they are wrong about even the smallest thing, they are a bad person? Is it normal for a person to use the things you told them in confidence, that are vulnerabilities against you regularly? I k…

I’m not going to go into details.. but she isn’t .. I set myself up for this.. I had a plan to not date around because I wanted to find that special bond with 1 person.. there were things that I was going through when we met, that made me a perfect target.. once I stopped taking it and called her out, she didn’t like it. She didn’t like that I recognized her manipulation. She literally checks 6/7 boxes on the DSM, and checked them regularly.. don’t believe me if you don’t want. I’m not trying to…

I have done some.. and how do you apply reason and rationale to someone/something that doesn’t use those things? Also it seems to be a bit more involved than someone who is neurotypical honestly.. pretty sure she has a cluster B… so it’s probably a blessing.. still bothers me though
/r/Divorce_Men23/06/21 05:33 PM
2

Agreed.. and she is trying.. fortunately I have proof of her doing that, manipulating the kids against me. She doesn’t know I have proof..
/r/Divorce_Men22/06/21 03:50 PM

Do you say the kids will be turned against you because you filed? My wife filed, so she can’t claim that in our case.. but, in her mind it is my fault. Of course

Oh.. and I looked into this years ago after one of our arguments.. and saw that moving out was the worst thing to do.. so I told her.. I will never move out.. this is my home.. it’s in my name.. if you decide you need to leave, then do it.. but I won’t
/r/Divorce_Men21/06/21 12:12 AM

Funniest part is.. I offered to move out.. for 2 weeks, a month.. whatever.. offered to set up a separate bedroom in the house.. she refused.. I offered to pay for mediation.. she refused.. I hope she reaps what she has sewn
/r/Divorce_Men20/06/21 11:13 PM

Fuck yeah!! That’s what I like to hear!! She put me through so much pain on purpose.. putting the kids though it too as an extension of us.. as we all (the kids and I) didn’t want us separated.. karma is a bitch.. my lawyer literally told me “ there are no secrets here.. when you tell her all of this, she will tell her lawyer and she will tell her you are represented by me and she will shit her pants..” I’ll take it

I’m not even through my divorce.. but I’m finding I really need to do things for myself.. I had a great weekend.. and last night was the first time I went to bed with a real smile on my face in months.. you have to be happy.. I’m just finding clarity in the fact that my stb ex is not a good person, and has no interest in trying to be better.. I’ll find someone to take the journey with that wants to work to make life better everyday.. the burden is lifted..

Good to know.. I’m feeling hopeless lately.. I didn’t walk out.. and I didn’t give up.. but I wished I could have told myself and asked my wife a year ago to please be a little kinder to each other..

My divorce began Monday.. I’m there with you brother .. I dealt with a loveless, mean wife for a long time.. withheld affection and intimacy were her favorite punishments and it took a toll on me. I turned into someone I didn’t recognize.. she sucked the life force out of me.. I’m starting to get it back.. she moved out 7 months ago with a 2 week notice.. and ended marriage counseling 3 weeks ago.. she ended counseling because I said I was having thoughts of dating.. since she was comfortable re…

The problem is, she is totally covert.. the texts themselves prob don’t sound that bad.. but it pertains more to the timing.. like she knew I was going something to have fun and she wanted to ruin my time.. and because I didn’t play into it, she then had to try to ruin my day the next day.. to any normal relationship you would wonder why that would ruin your day.. but for me, possibly being trauma bonded to this person, just a small comment can mess with me.. that’s on me though.. part of the he…

I’ve gotten a lot of advice.. this is top 3 in 6 months of separation. And that’s exactly it! You described exactly what is going through my head
/r/Divorce_Men21/05/21 11:20 PM

I’m all over that sub.. and I’ve tried talking to my counselor about it .. and I even told her I thought I was codependent.. and could she help me work on it.. it was like she didn’t believe that I was.. I mean if the 10s of things and tests I’ve taken I’m def moderately codependent. My wife is possibly NPD not BPD. In fact I’m fairly certain she is a covert narcissist.. I’m reading a book on it and it’s scarily accurate. Everyone tells me to get out now.. don’t look back..
/r/Divorce_Men21/05/21 09:48 PM

That’s def not it.. in fact, at the beginning of our relationship.. she was supposed to be a rebound.. and I wasn’t head over heels.. it gradually built over time.. when she gave birth to my first son.. I was truly in love..

Oh ok.. agreed

So part of your advice is to be abstinent from sex for well over a year? After dealing with an asexual marriage for several years? This is fucking torture man
/r/Divorce_Men21/05/21 04:35 PM

Well mine fucked up.. if I could have gotten laid 1 time a week I prob would have taken it all.. maybe would have been close to happy.. but shitty treatment and no sex makes me not a happy person

Oh.. and I really do feel like I’m the prize.. and I feel like I am truly a good man.. I may drink a little more than I should to be honest.. but I’m working on that.. I’m positive I could already be a GREAT man if my wife was capable of providing even a shred of being supportive instead of being demeaning and contentious.. her attitude and unwillingness to compromise or even consider my thoughts or needs, coupled with getting laid no more than 4 times a year for the last 6 years was just fuckin…

Thanks!! And I can appreciate all that.. lots of good advice.. except I was so traumatized and received so much emotional abuse.. I’m afraid I’ll be the opposite and not give a shit about or trust anyone ..

Did you have times of doubt.. that she was BPD? I do.. and then I think it’s me.. the honest truth is, I don’t want to go through losing my house... maybe going bankrupt.. and the honest truth is.. even if she fixed a bunch of shit.. she is selfish and lazy at best.. and I’m scarred if she doesn’t fix it, she will fuck my sons up.. I now see her disgustingly dodding on them.. like the kisses and hugs are a bit much.. it makes me feel wierd.. like I have to look away.. and I’m sure she is getting…

I agree.. and tbh a month ago I would say in a heartbeat that I loved her.. now, I’m not sure I can honestly say that.. She made this push for more distance.. so I gave it to her, and it hasn’t made me miss her..
/r/Divorce_Men22/04/21 07:45 PM
2

Thanks.. and it is entirely possible.. everything fits.. I found out about intermittent reinforcement.. and kept seeing NPD and BPD come up.. and I didn’t want to believe it.. but it fits to a T.. so I’m guessing you got divorced? And if so, how are you doing now?
/r/Divorce_Men22/04/21 07:43 PM

You aren’t alone.. same here.. at least I got a couple weeks heads up.. but it was all my fault.. ya know?

I highly doubt it.. and if she did.. she wouldn’t be going to counseling.. and if she did.. that would make it easier on me, as fucked up as that sounds.. I think she fully expected to have someone lined up by now.. but her self esteem is low.. she is kind of a lazy person outside of work.. she works hard. I think no one is knocking at the door and she may be just trying to take this to a new level of control.. she expected me to break down and beg and be destroyed.. and now that I’m not, she se…

And that is easy to say.. when I was basically in a sexless marriage for years.. and now I’ve had sex 1 time in 6 months.. I’m not looking for a girlfriend.. just to get laid.. and possibly relate to someone.. she went through the same with an abusive ex.. we are both lonely just looking to break that spell for 1 night possibly
/r/Divorce_Men21/04/21 02:19 AM

Oh hell no.. and I’m not dating anyone.. it’s literally a quickie.. agreed upon by both parties as “no strings attached”
/r/Divorce_Men21/04/21 01:03 AM

Ps I have lost 64 lbs.. and am in a way better state mentally.. more confident and getting shit done. Including going to counseling.. which we both agreed to do, she has not.. I’ve done everything she “recommended” and she has done very little that she said she would. Her recommendations were not bad ones, hence me pursuing them
/r/Divorce_Men20/04/21 10:42 PM

That was done almost immediately.. then she needed a key to “grab” something.. and swore she put it back.. lucky or unlucky for me or her, less than a week later that lock malfunctioned and I had to replace it again.. funny, a few days later she said “oh I found that key, it was in my pants pocket in the wash... but you don’t need it now that you had to change it again.”

Wow.. same story here.. we are going to counseling together and she continues to just keep looking for negatives.. I was to blame for all her problems.. funny part is all her problems still exist.. for her any form of disagreement is disrespectful.. I should have no boundaries. She said when she left she was going to go to counseling and work on herself and I should do the same and then down the road maybe we could go together.. well she never went, I did. I’ve changed for the better.. still hav…

she moved out and abandonment is justified
/r/Divorce_Men29/03/21 01:26 AM

So my other dilemma is that the house she moved out of, our home, well my home, needs some work.. I really prob should be spending the money on home repairs, at least one part of my brain says that (the guilty Irish catholic part😂) the other part says, she fuckin left you to deal with it all, so fuck it..
/r/Divorce_Men24/03/21 04:15 PM

I don’t really have anger issues.. but she has made comments concerning how great of men they are.. and them being cops, love to “challenge” you.. I was just venting here, but in all honesty, if there was ever a physical challenge, I wouldn’t shy away from it..🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m not some girly man.. I’ve whooped plenty of ass.. and can still whoop a lot more.. she knows that.. in fact, I’d bet i could beat bother her sisters husbands ass that are cops.. and I cherish the day I get challenged.. I was a wrestler in high school and I wasn’t too bad.. bring it the fuck on..

Absolutely.. she had no idea I was bothered.. and I am a rock.. I’m no bitch.. I grew up on a rough part of town.. I know how to handle every situation.. she called me and asked me to come to her place today because she was selling a table and was scared of a scammer.. I told her I couldn’t make it.. I was working. Which I was, but in other words, if you are so tough and independent, figure it out.. I’m a sportsman and have several firearms and plenty of ammo.. and she doesn’t know how to use on…

I was a wreck because for the past 6-8 years on a day like that, we would have hung out together while the boys played in the yard, having some drinks, me cooking on the grill.. you know, happy family stuff.. instead, I go home alone, and fill my time with useless bullshit , when I should be with my family.

Let’s just say I know she isn’t.. I have my ways of knowing..
/r/Divorce_Men23/03/21 01:14 PM

She is not fucking someone else.. they would take effort.. and her self esteem is in the toilet.. she basically admitted to the counselor that she had to leave for the safety of her and the children and when pressed, because it wasn’t because of anything I would have done, she was at the point of mental break..

Funny.. I always thought I might me lacking.. but after my wife left me I plugged my measurements into the calculator to only find out I was in the 95th percentile of bigness.. she got. Naked and I fucking punished her for 30-45 mins.. fist fulls of hair like a porno.. it was glorious.. she asked for it all.. the only problem was she got off and I didn’t.. it wasn’t a problem for me until she started crying about how I don’t find her attractive.. funny thing is. I’m an not perfect but I am way better at not reacting immediately emotionally to things said to me.. sometimes I say too much.. sometimes I hold my ground.. it’s a work in progress

Mine hasn’t fucked anyone else.. if she had, I would have called an Uber and told her to get the fuck out.. 😂
/r/Divorce_Men09/03/21 03:31 AM

Agreed. Well I’m in a good spot because I banged her brains out on Saturday, like for real.. 2 fistfuls of hair going as hard as I could physically.. it felt like perfect revenge.. surprisingly she took it liked it.. so maybe that’s what I needed to do more often, instead of bitching out..🤷🏻‍♂️

Only reason I am is because it’s new.. like within a few months.. and if she wants to push it, she can go.. I love her, and she is beautiful to me.. more beautiful than anyone on earth.. but I’m not going to sacrifice my own life for someone that can’t be happy..🤷🏻‍♂️

Honestly. You need to check out mrp.. if you had, you wouldn’t even be wasting your breath or energy talking or thinking about her. Or read “the masculine in relationship” it’s up to us as men to maintain that masculinity.. even with a strong woman there is a way. I’m finding it

Oh shit.. yea.. 2 years. Sorry bro. No pussy is worth that wait.. pretty sure my wife was going through some mental shit and I didn’t make it any better.. but 2 years? Nah.. fuck that.. I’d be done with her too.. I take it all back

How long has it been for you? I was in that boat a 2-4 weeks after separation.. it’s now been 5 months and I realize that was total bullshit.. same as the counselor that enabled me to think that. I’m gonna give you a revelation.. you might hate me for it.. but it might be true.. you turned into a pussy bro.. so did I.. a real woman gets bored with a pussy.. you were boring man.. I’d bet next time you see her, you walk around like your dick is swinging, whether it is or not, she shows interest.. …

I thought mine was too.. one of my questions is if she is a covert narcissist.. all I can say is, it might fit 100% until you REALLY look within.. now I know my wife is not a covert narc.. if she is, she has definitely banged someone else.. mine has not.. my wife definitely has some narcissist tendencies.. but narcissism is a spectrum we are all on. I ignored a lot of signs.. what my wife did was not ok.. and again.. if counseling doesn’t work.. no sweat.. I’ll be really sad for my sons, but I n…

Check out the MRP thread bro.. I was in a similar boat.. and my wife might still leave me for good.. I was a complete wreck when she left for weeks.. now, if she wants to change and keep working on our marriage, great, I’m all in. If not, I’ll be fine.. and I’ll be banging someone younger and hotter than her in no time.. I want my wife back and my family.. but never again will I give someone that power over me and my happiness.. I gave her too much power, she didn’t deserve or even want that.. t…

I found out I was diabetic around may of last year. So try my best to stick to a diabetic diet. Low carb. I don’t drink beer anymore. I do drink seltzer and wine, prob more than I should..🤷🏻‍♂️ I was down 30 or so pounds before she left. Maybe 40.. some of the diabetes meds helped with weight loss too. So all in all 2020 really kicked my ass. I do homecare PT and my wife is a RN.. and though we were both not happy in our marriage very much, I never expected what happened. I took my vows and mean…

Thank you.. I’m now at over 60lbs of weight loss and my confidence is at an all time high.. I am already a new man.. and will keep it going.. I know for a fact she is not seeing anyone.. she may have had eyes for someone.. but it didn’t happen. Having and hiding a relationship or even sex would take work for her.. and she wouldn’t put in the work needed to do that. Her self esteem is at an all time low. She is at her worst weight she has been in her whole life. She wanted to prove she could do t…

Oh.. and after the first week or 2 after yet leaving, and me bring in denial, there was no begging or pleading.. none. I’ve told her straight up, I don’t want to be with someone that doesn’t want to be with me.. and that I was confident I could find someone.. and also she started out saying “we can just be friendly” I told her I wasn’t interested in that, that my goal was to have my family back.. not a new friend..

I was weaker than I would have liked to admit.. but not any longer.. I’ve made some big changes and it feels damn good..

So I told her.. and she said having sex would be too confusing for her.. and to “do what you have to”. Sounds like a shit test to me (MRP group) but I’m prob gonna bang some strange.. she said it.. fuck it

Funny that’s exactly what happened. But instead of talking to me about it, and working together.. she made plans for an escape from something that could have been fixed.. I have made a lot of self change and growth.. and she sees it, and is now willing to go to counseling. I am planning a trip for end of may, to Nashville, (she has always wanted to go) I didn’t tell her I was planning it for us or her, that I was planning on taking our sons.. and she could come.. she didn’t say yes, but sent me …

Doing all of the above. And I’m pretty sure I didn’t say that was the only reason. In fact if I thought that was the only reason, I would be a complete fool.. I doubt it is even a main issue.. but I wondered if it was a contributing factor, in the downward spiral our sex life gad become.

So just tell her straight up?

Funny.. I smoked for like 22 years.. the last year of it, I just felt anxious and thought about death.. I quit and that stopped. No urge to smoke since..🤷🏻‍♂️

Ok... so the craziest thing.. I decided to make this post after a bunch of thought.. I didn’t want to talk to my close friends about it, they know how much main I’ve been through and they would prob tell me to go wild.. today my wife said “I’m willing to talk to a couples counselor with you” she also said she didn’t want to give false hope, she fears we would slip back into our old selves and patterns and things would go back to the way they were.. but it’s funny I literally made this post 10 ho…

I think neither of us were who we needed to be for each other.. I am 100% ready to find out what that exactly is for her and do my best.. another big barrier was that she couldn’t just tell me what she wanted me or needed, until she was mad about it and it came out as an insulting comment in anger most of the time.. but in hindsight, there were some subtle cues that I may have ignored.. all I know is that in a few months time I am a different person than I was. And it feels good, she has to see …

And fuck no.. I didn’t say it was a giant.. it’s just on the bigger end of the spectrum.. supposedly 94th percentile.. which is still hard to believe.. especially since I thought I had a small one for like 20 years.. I feel bad for Y’all..😂😂

No, I’m not saying that.. and sorry if it came across this way.. but lack of sex was my biggest frustration in our relationship.. and there was no particular reason given.. if it was because it was uncomfortable for her I could have made some adjustments.. but it seems like maybe her insecurities wouldn’t allow that.. and she thought I’d just cheat. As she was cheated on in the past..

Oh.. and as far as girlfriends.. she doesn’t really have any.. besides her sisters.. and 1 other. And now that I think about it.. even though it was a long time ago.. I do remember awkward looks.. I thought it was because I came from a poor area and she came from an affluent area..

No.. it’s not just about my size.. but lack of sex was the #1 complaint for me in our marriage.. if it was my size and she told me, I would have totally understood.. and tried different stuff.. I literally had no idea since she was the 2nd woman I’ve been with.. having sex 4 times a year for the last 3 years has made me miserable.. so indirectly, it could have been a major factor.. it isn’t about me. It’s about I feel bad that she didn’t think she could tell me.. i genuinely feel bad.. funny I r…

She has not filed.. and yes I want to reconcile.. I want my family back more than anything.. I took her for granted.. I’ve already told her that

I doubt it too. And it isn’t giant.. I just want to address the issue that might be why the frequency I desired wasn’t possible.. which led to my frustration and possibly snowballed and overflowed into many other issues

Lol.. I’m not here to brag BRAH.. it’s a legit question.. I want to know if I should just ask my wife directly.. my end goal is getting my family back.. go troll somewhere else
