Well said and this is really the heart of the matter to me, that the products of our culture, that is the type of dominant personality trait/social character it produces, are like a type of spiritual pollution. I know alot of guys on this sub focus in on the financial/psychological devastation caused by women, which they should, but think of spiritual. You'll never get that time back, you know that time you spent ropped into pursing a life of frivolous, meaningless bullshit just so cupcake can k…

I realized that morning that I had been pushed 1 inch at a time to a place I thought I would never be in. I drove to the polling place and cast my vote for Trump. And I haven't spoken one word to her since. The election was on November 8th and Jordan Peterson was on Joe Rogan on November 28th, timeline doesn't make any sense.

My dream is to get some land someday, away from this crazy diseased culture, a very small cosy home (one of those 'tiny homes' would be great) and plant a garden. I just need to get there. That sounds like a good life.

There was a guy on the trip with me. We hit it off really well and we ended up hooking up. I came home and while showing my boyfriend pictures, I tried to avoid the ones of us because I knew he'd be upset. He knew I was skipping over some pictures so he went back, and saw them, and got super upset and jealous. The photos didn't even hint that I had cheated but he always got jealous about me around boys anyway. We aren't dating anymore because I couldn't handle his jealousy issues. Crisis avoided…

I've never really understood why guys get upset about this? If society doesn't give two shits about you, you're free. You're literally free to do whatever you want, so go try new things, take a crazy trip, develop that business idea, write, get drunk every night, play video games to the sun rises, live in shack on a beach and surf the rest of your life, no one gives a fuck, and the people who do, the people who'll criticize you for living life according to your values, are fucking miserable, you…

Oh I agree with you, you see alot of that alternative right wing orthodoxy on this sub, actually in alot of ways it's mirrors feminism which is highly ironic. You can't express anytype of dissenting views on this sub because then you're just a cuck or something and you haven't read enough Mises Institue or Ayn Rand. People like George Will and his TradCon ilk will never understand, they look at 1950's America with the working man, house in the burbs, homemaker wives, nuclear family bullshit etc as some golden age for men. Most of the older men that crossed my life were usually empty husks of human beings. I saw nothing but alienation, demoralization, substance abuse, depression, existential despair, and suicide that came from a life of being a fucking glorified workhorse. It's because as a man you're not born with any inherent value in society's eyes were as women have inherent value because they can bare children. There was 30 year update published in 2004 that showed that the world is tracking along the standard run model path which would lead to collapse around the 2030s. Law 38: Think as you like, but behave like others. If you make a show of going against the times, flaunting your unconventional ideas and unorthodox ways, people will think that you only want attention and that you look down upon them. They will find a way to punish you for making them feel inferior. It is far safer to blend in and nurture the common touch. Share your originality only with tolerant friends and those who are sure to appreciate your uniqueness.

Our descent into the Age of Depression seems unstoppable. Three decades ago, the average age for the first onset of depression was 30. Today it is 14. Researchers such as Stephen Izard at Duke University point out that the rate of depression in Western industrialized societies is doubling with each successive generational cohort. At this pace, over 50 per cent of our younger generation, aged 18-29, will succumb to it by middle age. Extrapolating one generation further, we arrive at the dire conc…

The irony of laws like this is it actually increases the number of scumbags hitting on women, normal dudes with a fucking brain on their shoulders see laws like this and opt the fuck out, they just leave women alone, they won't talk to them, but scumbags don't give a shit about laws, so overtime the amount of interaction women have with scumbags actually increases.

Honestly, I just ran out of steam. I watched one of my best friends get thrown in jail for being falsely accused and a couple buddies get divorced - psychologically raped by their significant other. That really drove it into my head that you can really lose your freedom whenever a woman gets bored or pissed with you. It's like playing with fire, relationships keep you warm but can get out of control and burn you. I'm not a misogynist, I'm just someone who values his spirit and freedom.

I've rented my house for three years and seen my landlord twice in that whole time. I agree, in fact the minimalistic life is a shield against women, if women perceive you as poor, they leave you the fuck alone.

I've actually been rejected because I was perceived to be a loser because I didn't have a job or worked for 9 months out of the year. The truth of the matter was I worked in the oil industry seasonally and kept my bills and lifestyle to a minimum, I literally make more working a total of 3 months in the winter than these women made all year and I'm the loser. I literally only work one season out of the year and pretty much fuck off the rest of the year doing shit I like doing. People never think…

I have a set of friends and we've actually been looking into buying a large plot of land. The idea is to set up a communal lodge, where we can chill but have our own cabins, tiny houses as private space. We're thinking about making it a rule that if you get married, the title gets held by everyone else in confidence, so that when you inevitably get divorced at least you have a place to live and won't lose your house. It's like hedge against the modern relationship.

I do, I'm going to build one with my brother in law, who's a contractor, should cost me about 15gs in the end, but I own it. Then I'm going full Thoreau.

I've been in monk mode for the past four months and I can't stress discipline enough, it is the key to success.

Holy fuck, cool, add that to your student, car, and house loans. It's amazing how guys are so willing to fuck themselves for the rest of their life.

You know one of the reasons why I've removed myself from the dating scene is because of this type of shit. I've got to jump through hoops for school and work and at the end of the day I just don't have the energy or will to jump through hoops in my romantic life. It really is not worth it.

And there's no support there if you need it. My best friend and I live together and our house is known among our friends as a male only safe space. We've had two friends stay with us for about six months at a time after being divorced from their wives. They said the space saved their lives cause they didn't feel isolated, they didn't have to go home to an empty house and stew about how shit their life was at the moment. We spent a lot of time cooking, playing vids, drinking, shooting and fishing…

That's what I told him, take this as a very, very harsh lesson and consider yourself lucky if you walk.

You're right she's on welfare and is a druggie. She has nothing on him accept an accusation, he's got physical evidence in the form of texts as well as he filed a statement with the police after her boyfriend assaulted him, letting them know that she accused him of. About two months later, she files a sexual assault charge. And the rail-roading begins. I've always read about this shit happening to guys never thought it'd hit so close to home.

Yep he's got a lawyer he's in transit right now to the city he's accused in, then he'll have to make bail.

Known her since his childhood. He can't believe she would do this to him. I fucking warned him about sleeping around, it'll catch up to you. Worse part, he may lose his job cause of this.

Actually the lack of purpose and meaning is the point of life. We all know where we are going to end up so that shouldn't come as a surprise, we all die. We're not lost travellers. The problem with life is we make ourselves fucking crazy and we suffer for it.

Read Why America Failed and The Twilight Of American Culture by Morris Berman. There have been two traditions in America from the start, the hustling tradition (which you just described) and the alternative tradition (think Emerson, Thoreau, Mumford) . In Twilight he puts forth a pretty MGTOW idea called the New Monastic Individual (NMI) were he talks about saving the good parts of American culture from the eventual collapse by creating your own space and living your life according to higher ide…

I'm sorry for your loss. I have saying, carry the grief and anger with you, but don't let it carry you, cause it'll take you down dark roads.

You made a snide remark I answered, Ayn Rand is fucking garbage, but if you want to waste your time reading Atlas go for. If you like poorly written, poor rationalized philosophy, then knock yourself out tiger. Atlas does have a good use though, my birds love it as lining on their cage, they can shit on it all day. Go read Seneca the Younger, Epictetus and good old Meditations By Marcus Aurelius.

Wow I really hit a sore spot with this sub by calling out Ayn Rand's shitty philosophy. Maybe guys need to tug on their balls and make sure they still got them. Go read the Stoics if you want some quality Red Pill philosophy, don't bother with Atlas it's fucking garbage and poorly written to boot.

Yeah it's terrible, there's a joke in philosophy departments that it's a profound philosophy for high school students, then you grow up and read real shit.

A woman who more than likely suffered from PTSD. Rand just ripped off Nietzsche anyways.
