Think of how many people work in the wedding industry: Catering, Photographers, Hotels, Flower Companies, David's Bridal, Every Tux Shop Ever, Performers, etc. More economic harm than good.

I live in a neighborhood that's predominantly older professionals and retirees. 50+, typical "keep up with the Jones" mentality runs rampant, lots of doctors and lawyers and business owners. More than half the cars in driveways are Beamers or a nice-class car like an Acura or a new 2011 model Nissan. No power lines, all the utilities are underground. I'm out with my roommate (he's a carpenter, I'm a student) and his girlfriend (bitches suck at shoveling snow) the day after a big snowstorm [Jan '…

When you get the number its usually beneficial to stay in set for a couple minutes longer Bingo. This is also how you can kind of shit-test the girl to see what she really thinks. If she gave you the number so you'd go away, or gave you a fake number, she'll tend to cold shoulder you or get weird after the exchange. If she's still animated and into it, you're golden. And having a false time constraint ("Oh I need to hurry and print this assignment!" or "I have an appointment with a professor in …

Clutch. How long did you wait until you ejected? Did you keep some light banter going while you worked or kino at all? Exit is just as important as entrance, but doesn't receive the same attention. Nice line with the "You can't ignore the stars, you know!" Repeating those statements is fucking gold, and I hope that gets noticed far and wide.

If you can't fill your half of the conversation, it isn't going to work in any capacity. Nobody here will seduce this girl for you; it's all up to you. Talk about her. Talk about you. Talk. Don't just ask questions. Don't interrogate. If you're only asking questions, it's going to fizzle out no matter what. Or wait like a day and then talk about your days. The important thing is to change topics.

In response to the "why?" question, I'd be inclined to respond: "Because I'm going to be looking good and I want to make sure you're up to snuff" Or something to that effect.

One of the most important things I learned in German was "Zu mir oder zu dir?" (don't know how to phonetically express this) Literally means "my place or yours?" It has a pretty good success rate, and it's direct and short as a closer. But you need at least a little rapport for this one. European women may be a little more forward than their American counterparts, but that doesn't mean the rules don't apply. Use kino as best you can. Push/pull. Etc. If you go to a Diskothek, or a club, bear in m…

Every time I let a girl in it ends in some form of heartbreak. I'm never the break-upper, and I get all the stupid excuses in the book. So I started studying seduction in order to make them want me so I could turn the tables and be a heart breaker.
/r/seduction08/01/11 03:14 AM

I'd say it was a case of mistaken identity. Assumptions can make seduction happen though; always assume you're right until you're wrong.

Long story short, yeah. I lost my virginity last year to a girl who was, to say the least, quite aggressive. I guess my American accent and clumsiness concerning articles, particles and prepositions was cute enough. One of the first things my German friends taught me is "zu mir, oder zu dir?", (lit: to me or to you), "my place or yours?" That line is alpha gold, and I've since tried to weave it into my American repertoire with minimal success.

Recent Picture of me before going out for the night. Technically this is a pre-field picture. I'm 5'9" or 5'10" depending on shoes/posture, about 140 lbs, although I haven't weighed myself since I quit smoking; so I've probably gained a little weight. I change my appearance semi-frequently. Sometimes I'll have a line-up or a goatee, other times I'm clean shaven. Sometimes I'll rock necklaces, rings or bracelets. Haven't f-closed in 5 months, since my first group experience (3-2 the good way).

Northern German girls are pretty nice. Most of my success with the fairer sex has been in Germany, one semi-LTR-FWB smorgasbord and countless (read: 5) f-closes in 8 months, opposed to my American track record of 3/∞ over about 6 years. German women, on the whole, are pretty and tend to exercise and eat healthier than their American counterparts. They are also more forward, although there is still an aspect of game. Less responsive to kino, but IOIs are presented much more strongly, in my opinio…

Someone posts at least once a week "it's not what you say, it's how you say it". Early, non-physical game with teasing, eye contact, smiles, and more teasing should be well-met by any confident guy. A few months ago, after I started coming out of AFC-dom, I started noticing when women were trying to open me, giving me shit-tests, etc. If you want to seduce a man, you're going to need to open and give IOIs, he should be able to handle some of the rest. Meet him halfway. Good luck, I can't wait to…

OP gives solid advice. If you're dating a girl, you should be compatible. You asked a dating question, not some short-game caveman seduction question. For him, the fact that his partner likes literature is important; that's genuine incarnate. Use your questions to figure things out. Do you care about what you're asking her? Because she'll be able to pick up on that vibe if you're asking questions just to get them out of the way or if you really care.

Kino escalation ladder. Kidding, but in all seriousness: Eye Contact and Empathy; make sure they trust you. Demonstrate High Value in whatever you're selling. Push-pull. You don't want to seem too desperate to make the sale. Defeat LMR and freeze them out if they get cold feet. It's no big deal to you if you make the sale. Let them come running back. In short: it's all about getting them excited about the product/service so much that they chase after it.

Am I reading this right; you think I should have tried to close the 2 set when they came to reclaim the car? Interesting. Her friend is like a 4 or 5 depending on your bias, so there was clearly a winner and a loser for that scenario, but I guess if I paid more attention to the 4 it would just drive 9 all the more wild, huh?

I've found myself in a similar situation this week: we were supposed to hang out yesterday but snafus occurred and hanging out did not. Like yours, this girl isn't just a pick up, but it's still necessary to maintain a certain degree of game. This is a variation of what I think is the best route, at least for me. I'd text her on Wednesday or Thursday if you actually have anything to say. Like if you talked about monkeys on your date and you see a guy in a Gorilla suit, or if she really wants a N…

It sounds to me like you're asking for more comfort building conversations than attraction ones [according to the M3 model]. Are you looking for closers to recite two minutes before you drag her into your mancave or just some things to talk about to get her a little interested and to open up and relax? I'm going to assume you mean the latter; closers are really situational and hard to generalize on, from my experience. Besides, if you attract her right, you don't even need a "good" closer, all t…

Whatever you find interesting. I mean, fuck, REALLY!? Since when was the advice "have something interesting to say" met with "but whaaaaaaaat?" (emphasis mine for whining). Do you expect to read about a topic on seddit that's going to make every girl swim in her panties for you? For fuck's sake unplug your internet for five days and do something so you have things to talk about with other people that don't start with "so I read this article/watched this video/commented on this thread".

Well phones aren't my game. I've never really liked interacting with people over the phone. So it's worth the line going over badly to prevent any bullshit later. It clears IOI exchanges and establishes rapport right away. And yes, 21-24 is a crazy age. But no real women worth having are looking for a 22 year old and I'm not about to date children. Both of my housemates have girlfriends who are 19-20; I only go on dates with girls 21+.
/r/seduction17/12/10 09:19 PM

I've only gotten the chance to use it five times, I have a success rate of 60%. One I think wasn't attracted to me at all, might have misread the situation. The other one was just oblivious and ignorant. My mileage has all been in the 21-24 range, for what it's worth.

I think the directness is the beauty of it. It shows alpha-level confidence, clarifies right there that LJBF isn't an option, and it shows that you're comfortable and aware enough to realize what's going on.

Well you should just watch and observe. Go to a club with friends, or alone, it really doesn't matter, and then watch what seems to work and what doesn't. Once you watch a man who's a 3 open a 4 set of HB8+s, it all seems to make sense. Beautiful, chaotic sense.

Just some people you probably would have never heard of...? Not Ross Jeffries and David DeAngelo basically. I had a few friends who read the game, including a roommate and my best friends sister (not even going to start on that one), and we'd discuss theory. It's nice to meet and talk to game people who you know. It adds a whole new element of insight when you can talk about AA and push-pull or freeze-outs when you know someones history.

Use that to your advantage. When I was in Germany, I played down my language skills. People talk about others a lot differently when they think they can't understand. Besides, foreigners are exotic. And if things go really wrong in escalation it's as quick as a "sumi masen" and then sayonara. You can chock it up to cultural difference. Body language is king. People all around the world can understand it, and IOIs are cross-cultural (at least in the West). Remember, in seduction less can be more.…

No excuses. She knows why you're going in to the coffee shop at this point. Don't go tonight, day after might be a little weird IMO. I'd say go for it tomorrow. Remember: you're a busy guy. You have a very fulfilling life that could use a supplement in the form of a female. Don't give her all your time. If you don't go in tonight, she might be thinking about you during the shift. My method of choice fails miserably, which is why I still come to read the posts made here. If my method of choice were successful, I'd be out pulling numbers right now at happy hour. I do not respect people that take these aims as life-bettering goals. To a certain extent, it is. Used completely altruistically, PUA material is a self-help book. Applied to women, it ventures into the realm of manipulation. Its like self-help: how to come across like the person you're not! Actions speak louder than words. Self-help, in my eyes, is about getting you to stop talking and start doing. If you wanted to be a painter, but you never painted and just spent your days thinking about pain…

Or seduction and manipulation? Come on guys, let's admit what we're doing here. To a certain capacity the actions that PUA teaches are about self-betterment and self-actualization. But there is a certain amount of material that is about getting people (specifically, women) to do what you want. I think if someone isn't comfortable with that fact, they won't apply the material.

Seduction isn't all in the close. Want to see your figures improve? Open a girl, then play hard to get. Be a little fresh to her, blow her off a bit. You know that behavior that you've been receiving from women? Well sling it right back. Obviously the behavior you've been telegraphing to the women you've been trying to seduce isn't working. Go to a watering hole. Hang out there on a schedule (every Tuesday or Thursday or whatever works for you) for 2-3 hours at a time. Make friends. Get known. Be nice, make people laugh. Just talk to them. Learn the help, get them to know you, get them to know your drink. Do not try to pick up anyone you meet in the first 3 days. Anyone in there the first 3 days is off limits. You're making friends to make a social circle. Wait for someone you've met to bring a cute friend. All of a sudden when you…

There are a few points that have been listed that I'm going to reiterate. Go up before you finish the drink. If you finish at the bar before you get service, put it down. When someone comes to clean it up, they're in close proximity so you can try to order. Have your cash or your card out. If you open a tab and go back for more, consider tipping cash for each drink so they can see the green. Or go back to the bartender who opened your tab. They want to establish rapport with you so you tip highe…

Make sure after they pass you by for the second or third time you exclaim, with emotion, "Why don't you want to serve me!?" This shows them that you're interested in the drink, and nothing more, and it also shows that you care.

Nobody here is going to seduce these women for you. That defeats the entire purpose. Talk to them about whatever, keep it about them. Be mysterious. If there's a clear even exchange, then escalate and meet offline.

Yes. Ask her out somewhere, you don't even need to make it seem like a "date", just a "hey let's do something". Just meet her somewhere, then kino. Kino kino kino. Brush hands on the door, play footsies a little bit, whatever. Tap her shoulder to get her attention about something that isn't that important. Whatever. It doesn't matter. If she's 25 she'll probably know what's going on. And you want her to know that. Keep eye contact with her, see if she returns it. Is she playing with her hair? Is…

Seconded. Go to a foreign country on vacation and just talk to anyone who knows English. One of them will find your accent adorable, guaranteed.

What do you want out of this date? A second date? A kiss? Sex? Personal Growth? In that answer lies your venue. If you're going for something "romantic", then pack a picnic. If you don't know her too well, hang out at a coffee shop or a bookstore. Proper first date etiquette? Are you like 15 dude? You must be young, from your tone I take it. Just be young and make mistakes. As for making her want you, just be you, but be the you who knows when to keep his mouth shut, how to get what he wants, an…

This early in your career, it's important to start small. Make small talk. Don't try for numbers, don't try for a pickup, just talk to everyone in that club. If you can, introduce a few people you met earlier in the night to some of your "new friends". Be engaging, polite, but important.

I'd say dressing nice isn't a waste of time. Making sure that your appearance is good can only help your game. Nobody is saying you need a nice suite, just don't go in paint-covered jeans and a shitty t-shirt.

most girls are just looking to hook up Sounds like you don't need a transition piece. Just find a foreigner bar that's close, wait until last call (or give a FTC) and say "my place is only a few blocks from here and I have [x], wanna check it out?" Her response should be all the IOIs or IODs that you need.

My go-to movie is Only the Strong. It's so stupid that the girl always loses attention real quick. It also makes for good comedy, although it's a serious movie. And if things don't escalate and there's a pause, it's easy enough to MST3K the movie. As for music, I'm all about instrumentals. RJD2, some NIN, a couple of old (i.e. 70s) R&B tunes, things that can set the mood without listening to words.

"Hey" is a bit too familiar for me. Hey assumes rapport and that they know you. "Hello" I've found to be a lot more neutral. Whenever I walk around campus and I make eye contact with someone within like 5 feet I always smile and say hello. No stopping to chat, that's semi-creeperish. Just a hello and walk away. Then if you say hello to someone you see two or three times a week they know you as that friendly guy who always smiles and greets them. This is a great technique to invite them to open y…

I had one-day oneitis already, on Friday I was kind of mopey and didn't really participate socially when I went out with some friends. But since then it hasn't been much of a problem. The reason that I was asking if this was even a workable situation is because I'm pretty sure I'll see her on Tuesday.

I guess I came off as needy because this never happens to me. I didn't know how to react to the situation, she was texting me pretty much every day, and having pretty much any girl, especially a 9, try and talk to me that much I figured I would just ride the wave.

It was about a minute. The keyboardist was changing his instrument to a trombone and setting up some mic stuff. Maybe 2 minutes, but definitely only about 10-15 "exchanges" in the conversation.

I understand how my views could be seen as being anti-MR. I assure you, that is not the case. One can be for a cause and only support 90% of their goals; my indifference towards this policy is simply a matter of circumstance. Do I disagree with this policy? Absolutely! Am I mad about it? Not really. It is possible to support something without agreeing with it 100%. Simply agreeing with something because the whole of the organization is doing it is foolish. What's more, just because one finds a f…

I do. I'd just prefer to settle down with a Swedish girl and get admittance into the EU more than I'd like to live in America with an American girl. This is a rationalization of that wish. But this is a terrible policy. Just like I believe Affirmative Action is incorrect, I believe this reverse of policy is incorrect. I understand how my views could be seen as being anti-MR. I want to be mad at this, and I don't think it's right, but this could actually work out well for a guy like me. Swedish chicks are, in general, gorgeous. I want to expatriate to the EU. With a college degree, I'll be more desirable than your average Swedish chump. Profit. Do I disagree with this policy? Absolutely! Am I mad about it? Not really.

I understand your logic, but I think we have a simple miscommunication on our hands. When a group of young boys says to another "just be a man", when he is in fact, still a child, what kind of behavior are they trying to impose? This isn't a gender battle, it's a question of the threshold of our sex. If you want to read it like a gender battle, it certainly could be, but that wasn't my intention. Also, you are trying to say Also, don't tell me what I'm trying to say. It's insulting, and not cons…

I don't know if I would necessarily define the "cowboy-ing up" trait as a masculine one; is it really that masculine to admit that you could have been wrong? I mean, I know we're in a male-dominated forum here, so it's not like I'll get a female perspective, but that's just what I view as being responsible. A lot of the anti-male sentiment that I see in posts or opinion blogs is centered around the fact that many men "dodge the question" or "shirk off responsibilities" unless there's some direct…

I think that the "not worth my time" dismissal is a type of flight response in the context of the question, because it's certainly not fight, and the theory is quite black-and-white. I know I can usually see people's motives, especially when they try to push buttons, but because of the "grass on the other side" syndrome I can't help but think what a fatherly influence would have done to my psyche. So I think I attribute a little too much to that factor.

Escapism isn't really the core of what I was trying to address, but upon further analysis I guess the two are very interrelated. When I'm confronted with necessities for life, I procrastinate. I mean, I'll do my laundry, but only when it has to be done for an interview or something. I'll let my room go for a while before I tend to it. I wait for deadlines a lot. Problems at work I have no problem placing the blame. I am good at what I do, I'm attentive, and I get my shit done. Granted, a good pa…

Social/Gender roles, that's my take on it. I get teased a lot by my friends about how I avoid conflict and never really "man up" to take shit head on. I'll let some guy at a bar call me names, what the fuck do I care what some drunk dude says to me? I'll take insults from some loser on the bus and just let them roll off my shoulder. Some of my other friends are kind of hotheaded. They'll start fights over little shit, get really high strung over dumb shit like beer pong rules, or what some stran…

Seriously, I can't believe this made it past her editor. I think she should just stay in the kitchen. Leave the thinking to people who don't use their gender as an excuse to commit crimes. Some other lady who views the two sexes as equal and doesn't seek special treatment under the law would bring so much more to the table.

How about an "equal until proven otherwise" system? I mean, that's in an ideal world, where the companies aren't there to turn a profit, but are there instead to ensure that everyone is compensated properly in an accident.

Pffft as a man and as someone who knows stats. It's not some conspiracy that men 18-25 are more aggressive drivers than women and are involved in more fatal crashes. If more men were simply less aggressive on the road, then the price would drop. Plain and simple. Stats don't discriminate. I've been in one accident, in a parking lot. I had a speeding ticket but it got thrown out because I did community service. My female friend has been in two street accidents and has a few (at least 4) speeding …

Well given her terrible track record of lying she'll be someone's bitch in prison. When she gets in there, she'll probably lie about WHY she is in there, and prisoners aren't necessarily stupid people. Once she spills the beans I'm sure she's in for a wild ride.

I see now, I was just a little confused by your wording. The anonymity clause, I believe, is just fantastic, why let Jane Doe accuse a man with a name of a crime that will damage his reputation. Thanks for clearing that up.

More credibility? I know a girl who got her ex-boyfriend thrown in the pen (she was 17, he was 19 at the time, she filed the report like a month after the fact) because she said he "raped her" while they were dating. I didn't know the boyfriend very well, but I know the girl was an attention whore, and the only reason that she did this was to get back at him for something, and the ends do NOT justify the means. The problem with giving women more credibility is that such power makes the false rap…

But if I call 911 without a reason, I'm a criminal. Or if I commit PERJURY in such a sense, I'm a criminal. This post makes a very good point about gender inequality that is seen in the justice system. Men are always expected to take full responsibility for their actions (a point I agree with, for ALL citizens), but these women have been let off the hook because of poor judgment (a gross understatement if you ask me). I'm of the opinion that anyone who knowingly cries wolf like this should be pu…

This woman clearly has issues and can't be taken seriously. She's a hypocrite and she should have done her homework and realized that sperm donation is simply a means to an end to get you pregnant. He doesn't owe her a damn thing, and it's her fault for bringing children into this world that she couldn't support or without a proper support structure/family unit. I do, however, sympathize with her request for medical information. This can be important in treating and raising her children. For exa…
