Actually talking to girls wasn't as hard as I though, especially since I was outcome independent, I was just trying to talk to them to prove a point. We were both alone so I figured he wanted to talk to someone as much as I did. If you read my reply above your what is your advice on being able to amp myself to readily invade someone's social presence but not make it awkward or seem needy? That's the next step I need to take. I always feel rude/awkward/inconsiderate to the idea you can just walk up and catch people off guard by invading their social space especially if they are already having a conversation. I work in a plaza where there are lots of restraints and a bar that has tvs and pool tables and stuff. Does that context make anything different? I too think it would be weird to approach guys in a food court, especially if they were eating. But I thought I read somewhere to keep eyes peeled for someone kind of lingering from their group and open then and then try and assimilate with their group and open them as well.
