Why is eveyrone against this? I use these after I've been texting a girl for a decent amount and either: 1) won't be seeing her for a while (like 1-3 weeks and don't want to just keep texting about nothing... in my experience if I just stop talking they tend to just move on) or 2) after we've been texting a while (as in over the course of a few days/weeks) don't want to think of anything interesting and just want a light send a pic and put 1 sec of thought/energy into it

I think you 100% nailed it on how girls are feeling. These girls end up really liking me and I think when I don't reciprocate they either do what you said and think it's not meant to be bc they don't feel special, or they are like "this is a player type I'm going to avoid him now". I've never really told them I'm not looking for a relationship bc I'm worried that will scare them off and be like "what's the point in even hanging out then? bye"

Hmm... I don't think it's emotional turmoil. I have a great relationship with friends/fam. Do you think this could be more simple/basic than that? that people want what they can't have? Like I felt like I "lost" the girl... so when I get her back, and hang out with her, I'm like ugh wtf was I thinking? But I do it a lot. I think the solution will be to find a gf and just stick with her (what I really want) and then all of this will disappear.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
