Advice to others. Record everything. I was successful in getting the following terms into the court ordered child arrangement order: - All communication on record via email etc. - If mother, father or child have a medical emergency then phone can be used. - Face to face communication at handover is a minimum and only for our sons benefit (good vibes between us but nothing specific about arrangements). - Each party to stay 100 feet away from each others front door.

"he broke up their "family" by not chasing after her" heard/seen this often before. It's pathetic. One parent alienates the child(ren) from the other and uses this as a defence. Makes no sense. Family court sucks (UK). I (33 M) had to fight for 8 months to get to see my son unsupervised, my name as father on birth certificate and to give him a double barrel surname with my surname. I (33M, from the UK) have a beautiful one year old son. He is my first child. I was with his mother (let’s call her Julie) for ten years! We planned a child but broke up when we became pregnant (that’s another story). Anyway, I was not put on the birth certificate, he did not have my surname and I was not allowed to go to the birth.
