Yeah I thought about what I said a while after I posted that. Plenty of pallets here in the US do not have coatings because they're made as cheap as possible for limited times of use and then being thrown out. The ones with coatings are usually colored blue or similar so you know it was a coating on it. Also wood burning stoves usually camp/lock shut so the fumes & smoke vent outside. For a woman to have it all she needs to work out her ass off right out of the gate. That includes getting married and possibly having a kid while still in college. Or only getting a general AA degree so she's not wasting time and money in college. But do not try to tell them this. That's what happens when you're able to focus on getting a house and getting if fully situated the way we want. I'm also seeing guys entering into full on legal agreements with parents/grand parents to convert houses into duplexes. So suddenly that laughable basement becomes a very nice apartment with its own access and parking space. Some guys go hardcore off grid dropping their cost of living to almost nothing via solar panels and the right tech. This is where my long term plan is at.

It's not as bad but this is what's been happening to many of us in the US near any major city. Taxes and fees for fucking everything. I'm seeing many of the "right wing" groups talking about using cash again and going with pre-paid cards, and crypto. Just to avoid as many taxes as possible and to keep the government and banks out of their business. I'm staying in the US but l'm going to build an off the grid house in a rural area so I won't need to worry about much of anything again.
