Sharing feelings/opening up isn’t the same thing as using someone as a therapist. Sometimes because men aren’t encouraged to seek emotional intimacy outside of romance they accidentally overload their partners or potential partners by inappropriately trauma dumping. ‘Hey I just met you and this is crazy but I’m emotionally unstable it’s now your job to save me baby’ it’s a lot sometimes.

The world doesn’t operate as it is depicted in high school movies. Intelligent people don’t have any problem finding partners. And nerd culture has become very mainstream in recent years.

Men can provide more than a paycheck. This is what modern women are asking for. Full emotionally competent, partners in life who do their share of work. Women are not being petty or cruel for insisting on having better partners than their mothers and grandmothers had. My grandfather couldn’t make himself a cup of coffee and only parented with a belt. Men deserve to be whole people. Men are more than a paycheck. Be a partner.

I know it’s really hard. Learning how to do this sucks and even after practice it can be difficult. But grown ups don’t pine or play games if they can help it. The best thing to do would be to express your interest and ask if they want to spend some time with you. It sound like you have reason to believe they are interested. It’s important to be careful when you date at work. In some situations it might not be appropriate. Managers shouldn’t date underlings etc. things need to be above board and…

A lot of these feelings are totally valid. In my observation, the general consensus in feminist circles is that patriarchy hurts everyone and the major hurdle we face right now is men refusing to acknowledge that. Many men are still holding on to and being controlled by outdated, outmoded attitudes about themselves and others and it’s makes them miserable and makes a lot of them dangerous. As a woman, as a feminist right now I want men to do what women did. In a loose shitty summarization in the…

Of course you should keep trying to date if you want to date? What is the other option? Accept that it’s hard and work on it. Approach women but take sometime to think about when and how it’s most appropriate to do so. Everyone struggles with it sometimes. Regardless of how old we are. It’s gets easier with practice.

I think we’re in a time where these scripts need to be workshopped. I think attitudes have changed and there are different expectations and boundaries being established. Women are trying to learn to be more comfortable initiating but culturally this is going to take time. But also women’s main ambition in America often isn’t marriage anymore so they they simply aren’t pressed enough to want to be approached by strangers all the time. They just aren’t pressed for connections like that. While this…

I want to meet people when I feel safe and I’m up to it. In my city it’s not normal to just talk to strangers unless you need like direction or bus fare. I don’t want to be hit on at my bus stop, or at work, or when I’m sweating at the gym trying not to make eye contact while I do my hip thrusts. online dating is kind of fucked and is rough on a lot of people and I don’t know that anyone likes it exactly. In public though If I want to mingle and flirt I go to specific places bars, pubs, dinner p…

His rhetoric opens the door for a lot of insidious and troublesome ideas. Peterson couches some wild views between very stock and basic self help. The red pill as a whole uses this tactic start with cleaning your room , shaping up etc and then slip in somewhere something something about the chaotic nature of women, AWALT la de da. there are real concerns about what he stands for and to those paying attention he is considered a gateway to the alt right pipeline. What I’m telling you is, get hobbies and stop fixating. Women who don’t make it work romantically buy a cat and keep they keep busy. The anger and sulking is self imposed. Also where is this all happening? Like in media? like on tv? In your head ? in front of you, in multiply friend groups?

Women have community. When dating is hard for women they can lean into other parts of their lives as they generally have stronger social ties to help support them.

The self deafening, lay down and rot self pity attitude held in the manosphere is very toxic. Making you’re perceived undesirability a personality trait is going to make you unhappy. Also what makes you think that women have impossibly high standards? It kind of just sounds like an excuse to not reflect on yourself and give up on normal social life.

Honey no one is denying this. Some people are good looking. Believe it or not there are average looking women out there who struggle to date too. Idk man maybe we should outlaw attractive people? Or we could just all make the best of what we got and not fall prey to petulant self pity.

Yeah man. People date folks they’re attracted too. This is not a revelatory observation. I think the idea you’re stuck on is that all women are attracted to the same features. We aren’t. Just like men’s have preferences or things they specifically are drawn to...blonde, brunette, red head, petite, thick, athletic etc. women don’t all expect to fall in love with 6ft plus CrossFit dude bros. Most women are going to bed with pretty average dudes. We don’t carry around a tape measure that reads “you…

We all have a right to pursue our desires. If I’m not attracted to someone it’s not my fault. I will not be rude or crass about it unless pressed and bothered. But I will not waste my time or another’s out of obligation or guilt. I know what I look like and I know what I like.

I’ve noticed this thing. Women are very sweet to their lady friends. We reassure each other compliment each other, pump each other up, share, cry all that intimate stuff. Some men do this so little with their male friends I think sometimes unconsciously come to believe emotional intimacy is only romantic. This men feeling tricked into a “friend zone” or “orbiter simp” situation when women seek to genuinely befriend them. This also results in women constantly having to act as the therapist in the…

If both of your wants and needs are not being met with this arrangement you need to renegotiate or leave. Dating casually and nonexclusively isn’t bad but everyone need to feel comfortable you want to be exclusive...she doesn’t. That’s your answer friend.

Sounds like a good way to steal years of experience and possible companionship away from yourself. I’m sure that tell themselves that are gaming the system or whatever, but it kinda sounds like their lying to themselves about what they really have to off in a relationship and are trying to circumvent the issue to avoid actual self reflection and improvement.

Women are people. When people are young they explore and often have a lot of sex. Most folk do eventually want to partner off and settle down. Some people don't and live life a little differently and continue to explore and have many partners over the course of their life. This is all normal part of being human. Normal human variance. Sex is part of growing up and being alive. Again women are people. We want to experience the big wide world just like men want to. Up until very recently in histor…

That's not being a loser that's just what your 20's are like for a lot of us (women included) Learning how to take care of yourself and growing up in those first few years out of high school can be really tough on a lot of people . You sound like you feel good about how you have turned out after those tough times so why wouldn't women like you too?A good relationship looks forward not back. Don't be ashamed about having a rough time.

As a woman for me height is never a real issue, the issue is when a dude has a complex about it and polices the shoes their lady wears or whatever. We all have things we don't like about ourselves but it's a real bummer when we try and make is someone else's problem. I don't really notice a people's height unless their super tall like over 6'2 or very small like someone close to 5 ft or smaller. The idea that height is super important is a patriarchal tool to make men feel bad about themselves.

If you commit to honest emotional relationships the likelihood of this happening goes down significantly. People cheat for all types of reasons but it's usually because they feel trapped or lonely or unappreciated and cant or won't communicate that to their partner openly. Most people don't just leave or cheat out of nowhere. It's because there is something happening to them emotionally that is not being addressed. Women as a whole do not generally leave men they love just to callously upgrade. …

There's a good handful of radicals in most movements. Most people have the sense to ignore them...There are however no moderates in TRP it's pretty wholeheartedly radical. So idk about this comparison.

Misogyny is present in varying degrees in society. TRP take many vague ideas and feelings men have and focus on them with a strict fundamentalist orthodoxy. Most men because of their socialization have some trouble seeing women outside of the context their own sexual desire. Most people don't find women to be as credible and subconsciously find ways to discredit them and exert harsher judgment on them. Men and women are subject to social pressures surrounding gender roles and female compliance a…
