I second that and I fit that description. I'm left leaning but very interested in understanding and defending men's rights, which I believe in no way deny women's rights. The two things can coexist. The reason for so much animosity is simply that American feminism has taken a bad turn, triggering the usual tribal conflict between two ideologies that could, in theory, get along pretty well.

Valuable as life may be, a woman is not some mindless incubator. A person is not a machine you can grow a baby into and then be done with it without her being deeply affected by the experience. You cannot expect a woman to give birth to a rapist's child. Try putting yourself in that situation for a moment and think how it would feel, being on the receiving end of that.

Here in Italy, women receive from the national healthcare service regular letters to remind them to take breast and uterus checkups. I think there's even a yearly or two-yearly free scan for breast cancer screening, too. Which is GREAT, of course. Women's health should be protected.
