A normal pace, nothing that isn't natural. If there is awkward silence in the first 30 minutes, you are failing. Edit: Wether or not you should dive in for a number or not is entirely up to you. They key is leaving them wanting more. Don't converse for more than 15 minutes, keep it fun, get the number and get out like you have more important things to do.

Being honest is good if she asks, but wearing the fact that you are a pothead on your sleeve isn't attractive to anyone. It's bragging about a substance. I used to smoke, I don't care if people smoke, but being on a pedestal about it is kind of dumb. It's like high school kids bragging about beer and cigarettes. I've been with girls who don't smoke or don't particularly care for it, and they didn't mind because I wasn't posting twitter pics of the weed I had and being a child about it.
