I tried that experiment years ago and the results ended with me voluntarily sleeping on the couch since. I've been watching HappyWifeschool on Youtube, you should too. The entire vibe of the family is a result of the wife. You will never have a happy family if your wife cannot find her own happiness. There is nothing you, as a good man, can do about it. She will continualy blame you for everything wrong in the marriage. My wife has been in camp victim foerever, moreso since we stopped having chi…

This will not work. Get to a lawyer pronto. Your wife will be happier because you did.

If you are a good father, then I don't understand how they can just suddenly do that. I'm lucky because my wife is so lazy, she hardly wants the kids 50% of the time.

There is. It was me looking for a small sign that she still loves me enough to do something nice for me. I can't remember the last time it happened, and I was under the assumption this was a very, very, VERY easy way for her to show some sort of love towards me. I keep looking/hoping for these signs, but ther are none.

Yet women expect men to "take hints" all the time. The mere fact that I mentioned skipping buying the eggs literally as they were getting into the car, I would think I wouldn't have to follow that up with, "Hey, do you think you could pick up eggs?"

No, she didn't have work that day. I, on the other hand, was trying to get home quickly after working overnight/overtime so I could see my kids before they left for school, and I mentioned I skipped buying eggs in order to do so.

It is really about me looking for any sign that she still loves me. The store was on the way home, and it was an easy way for her to take literally one minute to do something nice for me. I can't remember the last time she did anything nice just for me and I was hoping for a spark of hope, even though I knew it wasn't going to happen. When I got home from work today she went to the pet store immediately, and is now sitting in another room. We've spent probably 10 minutes in the same room since I…

It isn't. Iwant her to show me she loves me at least enough to make a 1 minute stop. There is clearly no love left.

I do. I do nice things for her and when she doesn't reciprocate, I'm like, what the hell?

I had just gotten hom e from working an overnight shift. My arrival time at home coincided with my wife bringing the kids to school. I had just caught them as I pulled up, and I mentioned how I skipped stopping at the store to get eggs so I could see the kids before school. She said, "Yea, we do need eggs," then loaded the kids in the car and came back with no eggs. The store is literally on the way back from the school. If the situation was reversed, I would have 100% stopped and got eggs. Why?…
/r/Divorce_Men28/10/25 05:26 PM

I mentioned it right before she left. I was coming home from working an overnight and wanted to get home to catch the kids before they went to school, so I didn''t stop for eggs. That's what I told her.

The main problem I have is that I am looking for any sign that my wife still loves me enough to do something like buy eggs for me, when clearly she doesn't. If I knew she wanted eggs , I would have 100% stopped to get eggs.

This is just another example of her not wanting to do something nice for me. I keep looking for signs oof love, there are none.

Seperationis the beginning of divorce; she is already gone dude. The quicker you accept it, the better off you will be. She's also been thinking of doing this stuff for a while, which is why it happened so early in the seperation.

Half of marriages end up in divorce, but what is the percentage of couples staying in an unhappy marriage for children, money, or religious reasons? 20%? That would mean 70% of marriages are failures. Marriage is a sham and no man should ever get married.

Things changed for us almost immediately after we decided to stop having children. Lack of sex wasn't the first thing, it was lack of any romantic gestures. It took me a while to realize it had happened, but when I did, it was heartbreaking, realizing all sex was just duty sex, first to reel me in, then, to have children, and after that, for pity/duty. She was 32 when I met her, and her baby clock was ticking HARD. She knew her situation, whether it was subconsiously or not: I had to be the one …

It's because we crave romanticism (is that a word)? My life has been devoid of any romantic aspects for a very, very long time now; my wife hasn't voluntarily touched me in any way for years. Something as trivial as our feet touching, she wants nothing of it. She sits on the exact opposite of the couch, even when I sit in the middle. She says she is sad that our kids are growing out of snuggling, but I haven't. The truth is, she doesn't want to snuggle with me. She doesn't want to touch me. I am…

My wife would continually talk about a married man that she worked with, and the fact that he wasn't happy with his wife. Their views differ a lot, and she hardly talks about him anymore, but it wouldn't surprise me if they had a quick make-out session in an elevator ride and then one of them pulling back saying, "No, we can't."

I dont know if my wife truly realizes that she has no idea how to run a household on her own. I feel like she thinks she can, and filing for divorce would "show me." Meanwhile she's never touched a trash bag, kitty litter, a lawn mower, or a bill. If she files for divorce to "teach me a lesson" it would backfire immensely. Just like it did for her mother.

My wife is not a good mother, she's not a good housekeeper, she's not a good friend. She's an average employee. My kids are starting to pick up on the fact that she focuses on the negative aspect of every single thing, and the fact that she is verbally abusive. They favor me over her. My wife makes sure I don't see her naked. She turns away if I'm in a room and she is changing a shirt. She is not interested in seeing me naked, or touch me, even though I've gotten ripped in the past year. She doesn't want me seeing HER naked. That's where my marriage is.

I have started treating our house like it is my house, because I literally cannot count on her for anything. She runs the vacuum ever couple days and does the laundry here and there. I feel my wife was completely blinded by her ticking baby clock. We met when she was in her mid 30s, so I was really her last hope. She would have married anyone in order to have babies. She had sex with me before marriage to lure me in. Sex during marriage was for children. We haven't had sex pretty much since we decided to stop having children. My wife is the same person. She lost all her friends, even her family limits time with her. My kids are starting to see it too. I'm guessing that everyone who know us is asking themselves how I can stand to stay with her. She also knows your kids are your weakspot as she IMMEDIATELY used them against you. She is not allowed to dictate when you can see your kids. Time for a lawyer.

Oh, man, it's getting hard lately. She never admits anything is her fault. She's lazy. She's actually spending MORE time on her phone than ever (I didn't think that was possible). She had the day off yesterday and I came home to the same overflowing laundry basket and a dishwasher full of clean dishes since the night before. We didn't have milk in the morning. I do at least 90% of everything needed for maintaining the life we have. The only housework she does on a consistent basis is vaccuuming (and not very good). My wife also would never survive on her own, and I'm pretty sure she knows that. She knows she has it good with me around, so, even though she can't stand me, she won't file for divorce. I do almost all the cooking, cleaning (vacuum, mop, dust, etc.), pet care, laundry (washing/folding), outdoor work, trash removal (she apparently cannot touch a trash bag for some reason), and child care. I pretty much run the house like she isn't there. She's pretty much just in my way at this point, and it ann…

I think Covid fueled my wife's phone addiction. She looks up EVERYTHING.

It is tough, because she has this knack for literally bringing out the worst in everybody. EVERYBODY. I'm guessing more than one person we know has wondered how I deal with her, including her own mother. So far, limiting as many interactions with each other as possible is working, for the most part. I concentrate on my children and myself, and that is pretty much it. She's lucky enough to tag along for the ride.

My wife is a monster and I refuse to walk away, due to my kids. I don't want to leave them with her, alone, half the time. If we had no kids, we would have been divorced 5 years ago.

I'd throw them in the garbage and make sure she saw them in there

I hardly wear my wedding ring and I'm still married. Unhappily. I don't really care what she does with her ring.

I am in the same boat as you; but I'm saving money. I play drums in a band, and she has repeatedly said that it is not a job because I enjoy it. Well, that sounds like she isnt entitled to any of the money I make playing drums, so I opened a separate bank account at a different bank, and I put my earnings from the band there, where she doesnt have access. She knows this, and reluctantly says nothing about it. She doesnt even ask how much is in there. On our next vacation I plan on withdrawing mo…

With no evidence, they can only encourage one party to leave. If she feels threatened, then she should leave and fill out a restraining order. And that's what the police would tell her.

I would have called the police right there. They would have told her that you have every right to that house and they would have told her she can't kick you out.

She can't kick you out of a house that has both your names on the deed. Return, and tell her that if anyone is going to leave, it is going to be her. Voluntarily.

Sometimes I feel like my wife records me when she asks me certain questions. I also wonder if she records me when she isn't home.

I'm a better parent than my wife. They respond to me because I dont phrase everything like a command.

I would love to take a weekend to myself without my wife or kids. That would never happen unless she did it first; which I am also 100% not opposed to. Limiting our time in the same room together has been our unmentioned mutual goal lately, and it's been blissful.

They really just want to be a Mom, and sometimes their views on that are warped. They picture a 100% perfect little family and are taken aback when they dont realize it ain't all perfect and easy

Many women just want children, and by 30 - 35, they will create a false image of a man because subconsiously, they know this man might be the last chance they have to bear those children. They get married and she immediately starts trying to get pregnant. Once the baby making stops, the woman finally sees the man she is supposed to spend the rest of her life with. That's when she finally sees the true person she married.

I'm pretty sure I used to love my wife this much. Now, not so much. Complete opposite. Currently, I try to minimize all time with her until the kids are grown. Counting down.

While I'm having as much sex with my wife as I am with a gay man (none), I still cannot go that route.

My kid is starting to realize how verbally abusive my wife is. He is quickly starting to favor me over her. Over the weekend she upset him pretty badly. She went and tried to apologize afterwards (same fucking MO every time she blows up at a member of our family) and he wanted me to comfort him instead of her. All of my kids have been gravitating towards me lately instead of her.

My immediate first step is going to be to make sure she doesnt have access to any of my money. I already have a seperate account that she doesnt have access to, so ill put all my money there and give her half of every bill.

I'm in a different situation. Niether of us really want to be married anymore; we are both staying married for the kids, we are both driving each other crazy. We both don't want to work it out. We are both wating for the other to file first.

Not divorced yet (heading that way quickly it seems) but here's what I learned: I learned that most 30-something childless women are desperately looking for someone to impregnate them before it's too late I learned that marriage is a failed institution almost 70% of the time I learned that people need to stay on their anxiety/depression/bi--polar medication

Based on what I see here, most women already have someone else in mind before they will initiate a divorce.

Which would mean no need for a husband. That's how I feel all the time with my wife, except now I'm realizing I have less of a need for her than she has of me, and starting to act like that towards her. She's started telling me to "Fuck Off" lately and I just let it slide right off me

Any good father who wants split custody should absolutely get it. I'm assuming I would get 50/50 and based on her attitude towards our kids lately she'd probably be willing to give up more.

It doesn't come down to the gym. It comes down to your diet. 95% of looking good is diet. Step 1: only drink water. Nothing else. Not diet soda, not anything else but water. If you can't/won't do that, you aren't going to be successful.
