I guess that's why we face double standards, get called being a witch, get out into mental institutions, etc.

You're totally right! I do plan on trying next time.

I used to do that too. I hate violence and fighting and hurting others. But these people intended to hurt you. I also did t want to cause trouble for other people, but I wasn't causing trouble in the first place, I was ending it. Not doing that made me go into fawn response. Can you share some tips and more about how you went about standing up for yourself?

Yeah I've learnt ok and using your head. Right now, I'm adding just silence into the mix.

I hate being attack-y and violent, but we need to constantly remind ourselves this is standing up for ourselves and protecting ourselves from attackers.

Yep. These men need to have this career checked. I bet most don't even love their jobs but continue to be in them because they want power and control.

I ended a friendship with a girl, I believe she had a personality disorder. Copied everything I did including how I texted her. It was really eerie. The first two times, okay I'll let it slide, the third time, I told her I needed help and if I could stay with her for a bit. She straight up writes 10 lines of things I told her months ago. Months ago, we hung out close to where I lived. We kept walking and I showed her my new place since we were really close. But because it was during covid lockdo…

Honestly sometimes I think they're finding excuses to come in. And they talk about you behind your back. I've seen many scrote groups do this. They 'try' you, etc. I hate having a bitch face.

Studies show 90% of women experience domestic violence caused by MEN. This number is only a reported number. I don't undestand why men are still talking about men's rights. Unless if the woman is an Amber Heard and entered a relationship with ill-intent.

I'm pretty sure the women wants to work and have her own income coming in. I know that the men don't want that for 'face' and to keep them from leaving.

Agreed. You earn all this money but can't spend any of it, other than temporary 'delights'. And they cry and complain when women don't pay them any attention.

I want to add that there are psycho women out there as well. Because of similar experiences, I decided to get off social media. I've been wanting to do so for a long time but I was scared to lose contacts of my classmates or travelers I've met overseas. Now I realize there was no point in keeping contact with them.

I've found European men to be extremely sexist and...small. A lot of women, in certain cultures, seem to revere them (white worship).

How do you put your head down and study? I find focus very hard. Also congrats to you. My mom also stayed with an LVM and I stayed for her. It cost me a years of my life and now I understand the reason why the women in my life were so toxic and why I kept meeting LVM. If you're unhappy in any relationship, get out.

I'm in the process of changing mine as well! Congrats on your decision! Regina was on my list as well, but it constantly reminded me of the movie so I decided against it. But beautiful name. In terms of the movie Mean Girls, funnily Regina was the least mean out of the main characters. Does it take time to get used to?

This is an overplayed cliche or attempt in control of femininity in films and society. I used to think oh a dress is nice, but now it's utter bs. They're dressing you how they want you to dress, not how you want.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/07/21 05:59 AM

Lol that's what I say to LV people. LV people only want what they can get from you. They want to have you at your best then leave you at your worst. LV people don't have a best period, they are always at their worst. They can have a successful image on the outside, but they're always living with the worst versions of themselves every day every second.

Emotional and psychological abuse is so underrated. It is a difficult area to cover, but easier to identify as you educate and recognize the patterns. Abusers are like criminals and they only get better with each crime they commit. Take a look at the Amber Heard case. That is probably the only case which I'll ever side with a man being the actual victim.

I haven't come across any books written by women about religion, but I do believe in Mother Nature. MOTHER nature. I also believe that all spirits and beings are both feminine and masculine. Flowers are both female and male, seahorses and starfish are both female and male. It is just in human bodies they are distinguished by physical features. In current society humans are unable to balance either, or so attached to their ideals and thoughts. What helped me was to study other religions and to di…

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/07/21 03:33 AM

These people never change. They feed off people then attack people when they feel threatened. Many NVM and W will be 'best buddies' with their parents because at the end of the day, there's no one else to feed off of. I've seen people who claim their parents were abusive and ran away but still visit them on a frequent basis. A bunch of lies and bs. Even if they were abused it just shows they haven't left the toxic cycle.

Yep, this just reaffirms my beliefs and values thank you. The emphasis on being in relationships is frankly embarrassing. I always tell people 'When 'that' person appears, I will know, they will know, it will just happen', before then, I can have my crushes or dreams or whatever, but I'm not going around to 'find a date' or 'date' or hook up or whatever.

That's neither passive nor aggressive. He has anger issues. Gaslighting, in a way, yes but my first thought would be 'jeezus wtf this guy has anger problems, better stay away from him'. Second thought would be 'gosh, not so smart either...better stay away from him'. Then afterwards I'd probably realize oh wow, that's some attempt at gaslighting or deflecting responsibility away from himself.

Yep! Also judge whether they have favorite female artists because of their age, or they're trending or because of their bodies. That's even creepier. They will also use 'what's your story' against you aka they're looking for a way in.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/07/21 02:51 AM
82

If they can't answer what their favourite music is or their favourite artists are red flags themselves. If they ask me where I live or what's my story. I never think about asking about the company they keep, maybe about their friends in school or at work, etc. If the person can't even introduce themselves it's a huge red flag. Or they wait for people to come to them.

I'm not countering your post. I'm agreeing with it and adding to it. Sometimes we can mistake worth with arrogance or over confidence when we're just not use to treating ourselves with the basics or adjusting our standards and the way we perceive ourselves, which leads to not valuing ourselves. We can still value ourselves and think of ourselves as worthy, but others will see it as arrogance or being overconfident.

Even in the old ages, we were expected to be well versed in the arts, be educated yet end up in cleaning houses and managing affairs with no income of our own. We are just another trophy or ribbon on his left pocket.

What would you do if a guy was looking at you and comes over to you? E.g. becomes your bartender, etc. I was alone and just enjoying my alone time, but I really wanted to hold up a knife or something and tell him to f off, but then I felt it would ruin my mood for the night and I hadn't even gotten my food yet....
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/07/21 07:25 AM

First I'd allow them to grow into their own person. Second I'd tell them how to identify toxic people and how to stand up for themselves Third I'd probably not have kids unless if I'm really happy and covered in my own marriage so I can skip the first two steps.

I watched the movies and loved them. I loved their friendship and how they're there for each other. But after rewatching them years later, I realized how toxic Carrie and Big are. My favorite characters have always been Charlotte and Miranda.

I've met people who say 'you won't like hearing the truth' or 'would you have listened if I told you the truth?' It's these people who can't handle the truth, especially the truth about themselves. When you converse with someone, think whether this person actually has the capability to listen and handle 'stuff'.

Be wary of female friends who ask you to meet another friend, boy or girl with no context. Usually it's to get more gossip or to pimp you out to a guy and get more gossip. A true friend who wants you to have loving relationships will ask you beforehand and tell you why it would be a good idea to meet this person. Something I found common in my friendships.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/07/21 12:56 AM

Yeah, it shows they haven't the slight piece of backbone. Also, I've been told by men to 'Google it'. When I googled this term, its a condescending way to put someone down while acting like you're smart.

Nope. I had a friend who dated a guy who came out of long relationships with a woman who was older than him. From what I heard, she basically helped him get on his feet in a new country, then we they met he 'dated up'. That woman now lives with a lot of cats. The younger girl is sweet, but I can't forgive the guy for what he did. I value my friends a lot, but too many times it was one-sided. Manipulation and guilt-tripping. 'After all I've done for you!?' Or was he hoping for a 'deer in headlights'? Or hope that she'll be blinded by all the screens on Broadway?

Omg yes. And if you do choose a spot, you can bet your money that he will take someone else there. He isn't being indecisive, he just doesn't care and being manipulative at the same time. When guys ask me for good food spots my answer to them has become 'Google it.' Also, don't date men who only take you to places they like- bars, video game arcades, whatever.

Then please enlighten me and back your claim. Why are women nice? And specifically, why are women nice to other women? Misogyny is personal bias and conditioning. I have stated from a objective point of view on the motives behind women being nice. Men can also laugh behind your back and gossip, but on why men would be nice in that context, getting sex would place a higher priority on their list.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/07/21 12:55 PM

I don't think you have grasped the context of this post. I took the advice given to a son by his mother and flipped it- that a woman's attention and time are the most valuable things you can give to a man (or anyone) and how you can determine if it's worth giving. The post doesn't touch on men's attention and time...at all.

I want to point out having a crush and liking someone are two very different things. With my first crush, I realised that it was only a crush and being very young of course it wasn't going to amount to anything. After that, I rarely had crushes. I would find people attractive or 'they might be nice to date', but I don't entertain the idea further. My friends who would ask me about my crush would always tell or try to manufacture a situation to get me together with him. It was really annoying and…

Yes! Often I found myself not enjoying the company but I hung around anyway because I've been taught to be 'polite' and 'non-confrontational'. Hanging around with them only led to questions such as 'Why did they say that, do that, etc.' If you aren't enjoying their company, the only responsibility you have is to leave, ignore and stay away or stay clear from them.

If they grew up with abuse they won't know that it isn't healthy, normal or loving. People need to stop giving them a hard time and calling them stupid. There are plenty of women in their early twenties who have loving relationships as well. It's different for everyone. They think distance brings people closer. Absolute nuts. I've met guys in who would decline about hanging out in groups, then later they ask me out privately or in groups. All cool. I don't agree with the saying 'women nature faster than men' either, heck one of my classmates married a girl almost a decade older and they are lovely people. Another couple I met also had a ten year age gap with the women being older, but she was like his caretaker. It's different and personal to everyone, but we need to be aware and steer clear of ill-intentioned men and women and take responsibility of our own lives as well.

Oversharing is a trauma response. And abusers overshare to create fake intimacy. I know that I was oversharing to seek answers but I also learned that abusers overshare way more unnecessarily. So the actual victims can't get help because there are so many posers and it's just sad.

The first one is a HUGE sign that you need to stay away from that person. I used to wonder why this person would say this or that, and then brush it off or come up with an explanation myself. Now I know it's deliberate attempts to confuse you and throw you off your intuition. This is already a sign that your gut is picking up that something is off.

Yeah, also don't be a free therapist for other people. I did this way too much and it invited a lot of toxic people in my life. Strongly set the boundary, say no and move on. Don't think about how they need help, or you empathize with their situation and you wished you had someone back then, etc. I spent a lot of time healing and when I was moving on with my life, I actually didn't want to hear about your sob stories or your sorrows. I learnt the hard way that while you can maintain a distance between you and pickme's, they will slowly smother your life in toxic fumes. They're not only dramatic, they like to cause drama and point fingers, meanwhile leeching off whatever they can benefit from you. And you will slowly turn into a pickme without noticing until it's too late.

Yep. Either that or to promote fake feminism. Not having male friends signifies deep insecurity and inability to 'compete' with other males. It also shows they have no healthy masculinity. Their ego and confidence is mainly supported by feeding off girly vibes or oppressing women/girls.

Or some woman is crazy. *ERGH* Men who fanboy over superheroes. *ERGH* Men who display any jealousy or belittling of other men or women. *ERGH* Men who say sex is the best thing ever. *ERGH* Men who stare at you a lot or approach you only after a period of time *ERGH* And so on...

Some shower thoughts: Passive aggression and politeness are two different things. You can be polite and straightforward. Any one who shows passive aggression does not deserve a place in your life and will only waste it. There is a big difference between someone who plays the victim and someone who is actually a victim asking for help. Someone who plays the victim will only complain, someone who has been victimized will seek help. People who ask the victim what happened and don't help them are as…

Most people I've met in happy marriages met through friends of friends. No divorcees either. Personally I prefer if he dropped out of the sky while I was going about my life, like in the movies. Surround yourself with HV friends first then we'll see. When I had LV friends, all they did was introduce me to LV men, and I had no idea that they were trying to set me up with guys. And setting me up for failure. Deciding on your standards and boundaries sounds like a good start as well.

What's interesting is that stripper fashion and style is becoming more prevalent and mainstream, but business in stripclubs are decreasing.

Holding the ability to bear offspring warrants enough to be taken care of for the rest of your life as a woman.

The bar is so low because they're dead from watching too much porn and taking too much steroids or alcohol. They gotta drag someone down the grave with them to get what they want. Lol.

Yep, I feel like I truly levelled up when I found out that I was being groomed and had very deep roots of trauma and relationship patterns.

You can HV and have HV values but because of your upbringing or environment, it may be hard for you to actualize that in reality. Only when you're fully aware of other people's intentions and your own actions, you can build a better foundation. Holding yourself accountable is checking the actions on your part and changing them.

If you have the ability to self reflect, reflect on what you need to do to make your life better and practice those things. I never understood why anyone stay friends with their exes, unless if you were briefly blind dating but to me there just seems to be too much going on for there to be any good feelings to remain in a friendship. Unless of course, you never really loved each other and were just using each other for I don't know what reasons.

Because a single successful woman is unacceptable. I've had friends try hook me up or get their friends to convince me that I needed a guy to treat me nicely. I told them I can treat myself nicely thank you. Being in a relationship isn't an indicator of success. Jen seems quite happy being on her own and won't have Brad back in her life. He went away for a reason and he will stay out for the same reason.

I relate to you a hell lot. I rarely saw my dad and always had huge respect for him and my mom. But as I grew older, I realised something wasn't quite right. It took a lot of spending time away, therapy and being in other toxic relationships to find out how LV my father and mother was. It's sad. They're never there to help or protect you, they'll get you in trouble and call it boosting their image in public and never help you reach your goals. I'm just a bit older than you but I've come to the r…

I think it's important to highlight your past doesn't dictate your present nor future. Don't be afraid of shedding what's not yours and claim your light.

It's like the media. If you have to publish articles about something or someone, why are you trying so hard to publicize it? Good deeds are done without the need for glorification.

Agreed. The other way to handle this is to walk away. Walk away. Walk away. Walk away.

I can really empathize with Britney's situation because I grew up in a very similar household- the father had control over every aspect of my life and mother would support him. I'd have several breakdowns with no active intervention from doctors or friends. I believe I would have been married off in an arranged marriage by now had I not decided to pack my bags and leave after turning 18. I had to go back a few times to get some stuff but it was a frightening period of my life. There isn't really…

If you know your enemy, you'll win all the battles. Of course he's treating her better to make you feel bad, jealous and crazy! After you're gone, he'll start treating her exactly how he treated you, probably even worse to make up for his 'losses'. These people end up in the same position over and over and it's everybody else's fault!

Being older doesn't mean you have more experience maturity and better advice. I had a hard time relating to people of my own age because I was more mature and experienced a lot more things in life than them, but I also found it incredibly hard to relate with older people because they lacked maturity and their character only gets worse with experience because they get better at hiding.

Just be angry and sit out with your feelings for a while. Also thank yourself for leaving or being discarded by all the LV people in the world. Because they literally tell or show you why you are so awesome and HV. Everything about you they have put down or belittled only shows you what they were afraid of about you and how they felt about themselves. As long as you're alive, you can choose to change and it starts with enforcing and reinforcing boundaries. Never again... Also, I would review the…

My music teacher was a huge fan of him. I never understood why. He isn't sexy, handsome or anything these girls claim he is. You get called an agist when you call out age gap relationships, but pedophilia or grooming is considered totally okay.

I think it's fine and natural to be the way you are. Are you sure those 'friends' are concerned for you or trying to manipulate you into being more open? That is a breach in personal boundaries. Do you enjoy hanging out with those friends or friends of friends? It's not difficult to ask someone or find out if they're open. If you want him to ask you out and he isn't, it might be just one-sided and best to move on. 10/10 it's better to make men think you're not interested in my experience. I coul…

I agree with this so much. Insecurity is such a unflattering trait and sometimes hard to identify. I used to not know why people would treat me in a certain way but now I know it's about them and not me.

Sorry but I would consider this to be a 'pick-me' question. If he wants to date you, he would ask you out. An HVM won't be playing games and nor should you.

Love this post. The way we word things is important and we definitely need to say things for what they are and stop gaslighting ourselves! He is the cheater- because he was insecure. He is the rapist- because he lacks control. He is the liar- because he lacks integrity. Often people will blame the victim because it's the easiest solution. You can't blame a victim for becoming the victim after being eroded of her identity, opinions and support.

Guilt is so hard to overcome. I learnt that guilt didn't mean you did something bad, someone instilled it in you, meaning you were manipulated.

'Because I want to' is never an accepted answer. I don't know if there was miscommunication between your friend and him, or if he received this offer and decided to take this opportunity to make bank. Either way he sounds so self-obsessed.

I relate to this so much! I used to think that blocking or ignoring messages would be bad and rude, but people can be so harmful and cyberbully you. Also, those people wouldn't hesitate to ignore or block you.
