Hmm, doesn't really work, since no rational person would think murder is ok in any way. Try "Female teacher had sex with underage student" and "Teacher had sex with underage female student." Or "Woman hits kid in a public playground" and "Man hits kid in a public playground" Or even one that hits too close: "Woman hits her husband" and "Man hits his wife." Yeah, it's pretty deeply ingrained, even when you're aware.

I'm sure that there are exceptions to the rule. And I'm sure there are people who's lives are terrible and need escape. This is why we have doctors, psychiatrists, and the anti-depressent/pain drugs they prescribe in the proper doses. This is not going to be the people that overdose. I say the same thing no matter who dies from an overdose. It's stupid, and you wasted your life on the expectation of an hourlong high. I have sympathy for the family and friends. I have none for the person. You knew it was bad. You knew it could go wrong. Society told you it was stupid, and you did it anyway. It's like the kids that fall off bridges trying to take selfies. Same deal, different drug (adrenaline).

I think he means Empirical, which still doesn't sound right. What I think happened here, since too lazy to read tfa, is that the company put numbers to qualifications for a promotion (skills, work history, etc. etc.). And then the person with the highest numbers gets the promotion. Interesting method, since it is fairly resistant to corruption. And this guy managed to win the lawsuit because he had the higher numbers, but they hired the woman because ratio.

In the Netherlands, if you donate sperm, you have to keep coming for a year, and they can use for up to 25 kids. And there is no anonymous donation. 25. fucking. kids. Who all have the right to know who's their father. Surprise surprise that there's a shortage of donors. No sane person would use a donation bank, so they do it like this guy. And then that happens.

To be fair, it was early primary school (basically kindergarten for murrica), and only before recess. It was only with one teacher, so it stopped after that year. Still, it was nice. If you got done with your work (and it was good), you could go outside and play. Really motivates to do your work.

I understand that a school system focused on the development of both genders would be incredibly taxing on the teachers, if not expensive. The way it's given now is convenient for the people organizing it, and can withstand larger class sizes. But it doesn't have to be an overhaul. Small changes in teacher attitude can help a lot. Kind of hard to get accurate statistics when men get laughed out of a police station for reporting rape. That doesn't always work. A not-often-known workaround is to actually eliminate the group itself, which eliminates the tenure, like a sort of bankruptcy. Example: Tenured professor in Robotics. Group dissolved, Professor's contract ends, new group is made called: "Automation & Electronics" Not sure if it works in every country, and it's a last resort, but never count on your tenure to be an asshole without consequences.
