most of it's parts is just cheap plastic. the tubing tends to leak. Mine isn't that bad but what I do is for my scalp I start out by shaving it clean off once a month or every 3 weeks and put some anti-fungal cream, the key is to do it as a maintenance, not to do it only when the problem is around.
